I have been a member for almost 2 years now. IF is an interesting place to be in. Made many friends too. Only felt the PM is a bit weak.

I wanted to suggest that is it possible for the PM section be made more user friendly. You see when you send another member a pm it remains in your Outbox, till the opposite member clears their Inbox. I feel one should be able to delete messages in your own space. Is is possible to have a delete button option in the Oubox too?

Feel that way we could be more organized. Just a suggestion! 😊

Autumn even I was about to suggest this 😳 ...Sometimes the Outbox looks very crowded bec we r not able to delete our PMs from Outbox ...I think there should b a feature where we can delete our pms In Outbox also 😳

i agree to this too
when i joined in i had made first pm to one person
now that person is not active but that msg still stays

if i hv to look back and find some post of mine i cant find it
we shud hv the option of clearing out box too

Hi All,

Thanks for the suggestion.

However the reason for it being this way is the way the Private Messages have been built upon.

It shares the same space for a particular PM. So if its deleted from the Inbox of the recipient it automatically gets cleared from the senders outbox.

Once the new database server starts off then we can work around this and see how we can improve the Private Messages option.

I understand Vijay. Thanks for taking the time and replying. But yes IF then and now is a great big difference for the better. Waiting till it is upgraded to yet a better system. I hope this pm thing will get scope for improvement...till then thanks.
