Ashvamedha Yajna: The Truth

The truth is that Horse was not sacrificed in Ashvamedha Yajna. History books written by Marxists tried to defame Hindu history and they started the propaganda which included sacrifice of horse in Ashwamedha Yajna. Our history is very old, our culture is rich, Horses were not sacrificed in this Yajna at least not when Ram existed. Those People who saw soul in every creature,would they really do such a thing? M not saying sacrifices were not prevalent but that is a different society, tribes living in jungles not Ram, so Ram criticizing Ashvamedha Yajna is nonsense. Thanks Marxists writers for vilifying Hindu Culture and degrading a sacred Yajna like Ashvamedha.😡 I want to kill the cvs. And even if Horse was killed it ceased in Ram's era or before. Our culture existed way before Harappan Civilization and no one knows how old our culture is, maybe 6000 B.C old. Don't believe whatever History books says. Remember Various ideologists specially marxists have wrote those books.

SKR is their fiction. we shouldn't dictate them what to do and what not to. But I think CVS must show a rolling message that "this show is pure fiction based on Ramayana. show won't take responsibility for misconceptions over Ramayana" at entire episode

ok so horse sacrifice was not done then what exactly was done in the yagna with the horse. would like to know one more thing in MB also a aswamegh yagna was done was a horse sacrificed there

Valmiki Ramayana - Translated by Griffith - has detailed explanation of how Dasharatha performed Ashwamedha , as per which the sacrificial horse is killed.

the used for the yagna is to as the messenger or the token of the superiority of the king who perform the yagna to the world that such and such king is performing yagna and which ever state it travels, the king has to pay tribute to the king who is performing the yagna (as good as accepting him as their superior) and those who dosn't wish to accept their supremacy can contest them in a war by tying the horse. The horse is more like a representative of the king as the one which is selected to be sent as yagna horse shall be healthy and defect less.

My dad use to tell us tales from old hindu books...he explained us that ashvamedha yagna...horse ..was the one who was fierceless and fast like wind and very smart...it was difficult to hold him or kill him...he was send on voyage by king to find if there is any kingstronger than him...if the horse returns without being caught he was treated as best...but if someone catches it or kills it then its about its faith...but giving bali was never mentioned by him
