Isnt sometimes all we want is God to JUST understand what we desire and give it to us? Just please .. God loves us the most, we are His creations and at times its just we want Him to just grant our wish
Rizwaan knows he is going to leave Preet, he is going to leave. He doesnt have a choice. Even if he wants to stay nobody will forgive, so in this case .. maybe the only prayer his heart can make is this ..

Rizwaan has a very strong bond with his creator. He is a believer. He isnt that hardcore person who stops believing in the divine after a tragedy. He trusts his Creator. He prays to Him. He talks to Him, he questions Him, asks the guidance of his Maula. At every single step, but there still is one thing that he cant even ask from his Creator - Preet's companionship.
Rizwaan is a person who cannot even pray for Preet. Yes he prays for her safety, her well being ALWAYS, but he cannot pray for her companionship, because he is too guilty to even ask for her in his conversation with God. He is too guilty .. so his unconcious mind just wants God to see it Himself and give it to him.
Every single time he places his eyes on her, his heart screams with pain. No matter how many times he makes himself believe that he will leave .. his heart wants God to just see it and give it to him, because he doesny even know that he DESERVES to pray for his love. He doesnt.
Maybe i am ranting too much, maybe this post is illogical, but another aspect of rizwaan's character struck me that he is the believer of the Al Mighty, and because he loves Allah, he doesnt complain to Him about sending Preet, he questions Him about His plan, and believers always, in some part of thier heart want thier creator to grant what they cant ask for. They trust thier God. They trust and have hope in thier creator.
So i believe that whenever Rizwaan looks at Preet .. his unconcious mind tells him to trust His Allah, because ..
