Yesterday only I was talking about fundamental of cooking a meal. And today they showed it. Importance of food. Right ingredients for health both physical and mental. Now these days no such thoughts go while cooking a meal. Especially food connected with mental health. Food does have influence in our thoughts. And sita telling all plants are children of earth and janak telling not only plants we all are children of earth should be an eye opener to respect mother earth. Typing from mobile. Hence keeping short

@Shruthi: oh yes I just remembered you when they talked about food. Still we say nalabagam and bheem bhoojan but i didnt know any female being addressed as good chef in epics so far. But actually mom's food is unmatchable which is followed by grandma's. 😉 So i feel only in kaliyug female is pushed to kitchen.
Coming back to rest of episodes till now they maintain both sita and Ram as nature lovers. So nicely they showed the parallel events happening for Ram and sita. But what abt sulbana? I thought they will give the continuity?

About shanta, I am aware of the story only through the angle of rishyasringa. Is it not him who did the yajna for dhasarath to get his sons? Then why kausalya feel dhasarath was not at all thinking abt her?

Nice post Shruti. Food really does influence our thoughts. So it's always advisable to cook with positive thoughts and energy. So what Sunaina said was very true. Bold, this was a lovely scene. The dialogues are so beautiful👏

@Ramya I also dont know much about Shanta. I understand she was given for adoption. Yes Rishisringa performed the Yajna to get the sons. We need to know more about it

But from Kausalya's perspective I can understand where she is coming from. She does not want Dasrath to alleviate her pain. She wants him to understand she has a pain. See that is the most important part in hus-wife relation. Understanding. Dont ridicule certain actions. If Kausalya wants to bath the golden idol of the baby girl so be it. If that gives her calmness so be it. Just allow her to do that. Actually when you dont criticize and allow the person to do what they want, after some time the pain does disappear. In the husband's understanding, love time heals things and vica versa. But it is when you force that person not to do things, not to be in pain things go for a toss.

If you look Dasrath couldnt even live with the pain after sending Ram to jungle. But Kausalya has lived through. And Dasrath will understand what Kausalya went through only when he loses Ram and then when everyone says to him not to be in pain.

You cant shut out pain. It will be there. Only time, patience, understanding and love can heal it.

@Shruthi: Yes, I also feel that they will show that aspect of dhasarath who may understand the pain of kaushalya at the time of Ram exile. Nicely u put forth the understanding POV. Now, I feel because of dhasarath, Ram also acquired this quality i.e dhasarath gave more importance to his words, like giving his daughter w/o the concern of kaushalya or accepting her pain, Ram also asked sita to give agnipariksha and to go for forest w/o giving much concern of her feeling. Though both realized their counterpart pain, they failed to acknowledge the same in public.
As we discussed about Ram being maryada purushottam and Krishna as poornavatar, I think one more point. We know that Ram gave more importance to the words of even ordinary layman. Ram thought that the king should be an ideal person and no one should be able to point out fingers at him, which can be made as a wrong example for others. (Though testing wife is still debatable). So his dharma was focused on keeping up to the promise. So he is called maryada purushottam. But Krishna itself told that to construct dharma he was ready to accept even all abuse words. He didn't care about what people say about him, but he focused only to build the lost dharma in world. So I think we address him as poornavatar.

@Ramya it is more than that. I already told it is between Prakriti and Purush. So did a point came in Ram's life where he was unable to take Prakriti and society along. Because at that point there was no one to tell him or direct him how to take Prakriti and society along.
If you look at Krishnavatar, krishna uses Prakriti to question society. If you look vasudeva leaves all his other obligations to protect Devaki. Without the protection of Devaki there was no 8th son, there was no dharma. Also Krishna directs Arjuna. With his direction Arjuna is able to balance Prakriti and society.
Need to see whether this line of thought is correct. Maybe as show progresses we might get more clarity.

yes, really there is much more to it. But what is the need that someone should have told Ram to consider both prakriti and society together? Why he was not the trendsetter? did he actually missed it or we failed to identify ? I miss something in the context.
