HELL even Krishna knew Arjun cant beat them so he made Pandavas cheat to win

at first there is a difference between defeating and killing. Bheeshma had boon of death upon wishing or ichhamrityu. he couldn't be killed until he wishes and he would fight till he wont fall. so Shikhandi was brought there.

Dronacharya had wore such kind of Armour for which no weapon could have harmed him. also Drona could be killed by only dhristadyumna that too if only drona allows. Arjun might fight both bheeshma and Drona for eternity but it was needed to kill them for wining the war. hence Krishna did the tricks.

actually cheating had been done by both side. when someone with boon of Ichhamrityu is the commander first rule is broken there.

about karna winning Draupadi sayamvar by hitting the fish eye well yes i agree with that draupadi rejected him on account of being a- suta-. but its a topic of debate beca-use in other version of mahabharat karna failed in hitting target.

although i dont take any version to be more authentic so i will go with Draupadi rejection as its there in my bengali translations and versions as well.

but i was talking about karna and arjun fight after draupadi sayamvar . there karna at first was unconcious by arjun's attack and then after fighting a while he stops thinking B-rahmins power r invincible as Arjun was in guise of Brahmin. so here Arjun had an upperhand on karna

The whole war is won in a treacherous way, had not been Lord Krishna Pandavas could have never won the war, they were supposedly WEAK compared to kauravas, since the start till the end there not single moment where war is fought in a righteous way, before the war the best part was Indra Dev coming to karn in a disguise form to take his kavach kundal so that it would be easier for his son to harm his opponent 😛

war by its very nature is never fair, one has to do anything and everything to win. be it any age. subterfuge and covertness is the only means in which any war is fought.and won there are no rights and wrongs. even today more wars are fought off the battlefield then on it. every jihadi thinks his war is just, every man fighting to defend his country believes his war is just. and every man attacking another country for what ever reason thinks his war is just.

ones motives may be just and righteous for fighting a war, but the means are never just or righteous. and the fact the lord krishna condoned and designed its every strategy, proves only one thing it is the end and not the means that matter. the pandavas won because they had to, they were fighting for their rights, they were fighting to break the old unjust system where people were not treated equally and women were dishonored.and to built a new one. they were fighting against a family that treated them unjustly and cruelly . it didn't matter that their army was smaller and or weak, with the gods on their side they would never have lost.

you got it wrong. karn got the weapon to kill arjun from indra in exchange for giving his kavach, he did not perform tapasya for it. the fact that the took the weapon from arjuns father to kill arjun how could he ever get to use it on arjun by its very nature it was never meant for arjun. krishna as god knew that, and Ghatotkach had to die because he was rakshy born. karna intended to use it on arjun, but clearly indra never gave it to him with that intention. Arjun would have won in any age because his cause was just and righteous. and that is the message of the mahabharata. when evil reaches its very limit, warriors and gods will walk the earth who will destroy evil and establish the righteous.

besides any skill and weapons karn was because he lied, once again by the very nature of this action of laying to gain knowledge made him unrighteous. his kingdom was a handout. he was doomed from the very beginning. his support of duryodhana and all his miss deeds, made him less of a good human being then arjun.

He did not perform tapasya for it.Yes.But the kavach and the kundalas were a part of his body.Imagine someone asking you to cut off your organs and donate them?It takes guts and not everyone can do that.It is no less than a tapasya too.

And you are saying that Indra's weapon could not hurt Arjun because Arjun was his son? Wrong,again.The Shakti Of Indra could kill anyone. Even his own son.

Ghatothkacha had to die coz he was a rakshasa??I have read many retellings of the Mahabharata but I have never read or heard of this theory.

And I think that you are viewing Mahabharata as a fairy tale.Where there are heroes and villains.The Mahabharata was a story of human flaws and how they correct it.Even Duryodhan had a good side to him too.It's these daily soaps that are portraying him as a villain.

Both Karna and Arjun were good human beings with their flaws.But Karna was anyday better.

And so he was bound to be punished.Duryodhana wanted to snatch away from the pandavas what was rightly theirs and was undoubtedly wrong.I think karna had his head and heart at war. His head, that knew he was doing something that was not right but his heart that wanted to support a true friend who always stood up for him in times of need.But he chose his heart and was ready to bare the consequences and this was one of those consequences.
And yes agreed that the shakti could kill arjuna as well.And i think ghatotkacha had to die not because he was a rakshasa but because his death was meant at that time and krishna, the all knowing knew this and so he canvassed karna's mind and made him use the shakti against ghatotkacha.
I feel the same as you do,mahabharata never had a villain or a hero.Very well said, everything!👏👏
Duryodhana had a good side too.He was a true kshatriya and he lived and died as one.⭐️But he let his bad side dominate over the good one and so was the case with karna.However,both had their own reasons and in no way can we say that karna or duryodhana were villains.The only villain i see is shakuni but he too ,no wonder had his own reasons.
But what i feel is that arjuna was better. We both can have our own opinions ,can't we?😳And i can give you millions of reasons why he was better,rather the best.😳
