I have a feeling that the little girl is only Preet's daughter...Maybe from a rape or ex husband. And Ishaan probably accepted the girl as his own.

Quite possible. But I think she is Ishaan's first wife daughter.

I thought with the nightmare that preet keeps happening maybe the shooting at the wedding , maybe she was raped and the child is her's . Ishaan married preet and gave her and the child his name. That's why preet is close to everyone but is distant with ishaan and because of this she respects and trusts ishaan
