I feel bhansali should have taken hrithik or someone who has a greater box office pull than ranveer.bm does have deepika but then to be very honest fan following of an actresses is and somewhere always be less than the khans.and even if the wom is good how much can it do ?with the budget that's surpassing 100 CR's.I guess it would have done wonders with a bigger star.

Ranveer has worked very hard for the role, slb saw something in him that made him choose Ranveer

Also one of the requirements for playing Bajirao was that they had to shave off thier hair and grow a moustache and dedicate a whole year to the role, Wat other actor wud hav agreed to do that?

I am sure Ranveer has done a very gud job as Bajirao. He is looking very gud as Bajirao :)

Hrithik as Bajirao and Aishwarya as Mastani...

I think they were regal in a mughal emperor's love story-JA

Bajirao is a Marathi general ,kashibai,his marathi wife..and Deepika is a mix of Andhra and Persian blood.

It is a more earthy story from central India..and expects max business from Mumbai-Gujarat territories ..It will do well in places like Lucknow,Hyderabad..due to the beautiful muslim costumes.We havent had a muslim social in a long time...
