Many would defend her actions saying it involved the reputation of her father and how can she be not sensitive? Being sensitive is different from being sensible.
While many of us in the Forum, including me also feel that she has crossed her limits in hurting Kabir and she doesn't deserve him.
Her downward fall started from the day she slapped Kabir without even giving him an option to explain. From then on till today, it's been roller coaster ride downwards.
Even after coming to know the real situation, she accepted Kabir only "professionally." Why? What was stopping her from showing her remorse? Even when Kabir longingly asked her "do you love me?" she didn't answer. Why? What was stopping her? Why did she need "assurance" from everyone that Kabir is the best choice for her? Why was she so confused? Even y'day when Kabir ultimately called Anita maa' and looked at Ananya for her reaction, she drew a blank. She could've at least held his hands impulsively. That simple act would've spoken volumes about her remorse, her guilt. No words required. But unfortunately, she didn't. Why was she so adamant? What was stopping her?
These questions haunted me and I was searching for the answers. The revelations brought forth some responses.
Many times our mouths move before our brain has time to think. Result? Ruthless use of words. We all know words are powerful. Their abuse drains our self-worth and damages our relationships. These stings become insurmountable obstacles in relationships. By the time we realize that self-control is better than rebuilding what we broke, the damage is done. Any attempt to rectify impetuous expression of anger fails. Words become inadequate for the damage it has caused. When anger blinds us, the negative energy often blocks the positive energy from flowing into our lives.
These must be the emotions that Ananya is going through right now. The positive energy from Kabir is still not flowing into her life.
Life is a school for continuing education. Moments like these are meant to teach us these lessons and simultaneously give us certain tests. One who learns the lessons well, pass the test. Others have to work harder. And that's the way its supposed to be. It was Ananya who said that one has to love aankh bandh karke'. But she failed in her own test whereas Kabir passed out with flying colours.
Well, she would ultimately accept Kabir, no doubt in that. And again no doubt Kabir will hold her tight and tell her how much he loves her, how much he is ready to erase the past and start over fresh and new. Lucky for Ananya to get such an unconditional lover.
