Kahaani was written ONLY for Aishwarya as lead.

I knew it. That film was written for only Aishwarya but since she couldn't do it due to pregnancy she was replaced by Vidya. Okay, Vidya did great job in it but I am glad that Sujoy Ghosh wanted Aishwarya for the film. His next film is also with her. I know you will say you are glad Vidya did it but nobody can deny now that she was second choice for the film. 😛


Another thing is Aishwarya is Sujoy Ghosh's favorite actress hence he offered her two films back to back. Haters please burn as hell. 😆

Read the interview. Kahaani was offered to Ash first. Sujoy asked her to do it but she was full blown pregnant that time. Sujoy then went to Vidya, his 'second' choice. *Ahem ahem*

Except Sujoy says he talked to Vidya about Kahaani on sets of Paa which was back in 2008-2009 🤣
