Fault in our director?

Mohit Suri might replace Homi Adajania at the helm for the Hindi remake of The Fault In Our Stars
KARAN Johar, who holds the rights to the Hindi remake of Hollywood flick The Fault in Our Stars, had announced Homi Adajania as the director for the project starring Deepika Padukone. However, the industry grapevine is now abuzz with rumours about a change of guard.
Sources suggest that director Mohit Suri might step in as Homi's replacement.
A source says, " The film is at the scripting stage and it seems both the makers and Homi were not on the same page. So, they have decided to part ways. We have been thinking of signing up Mohit since he has worked with us
in the past and he has liked the concept too." It is said that getting a new director on board might lead to changes in the star cast too. A source close to the project says, " There has been much speculation around the lead roles. So far, the makers had zeroed in on Deepika while the hunt for an actor was still on.
Initially, Varun Dhawan was supposed to be signed on, but he had some date issues. Later, Sushant Singh Rajput's name was discussed.
But it looks like the project will eventually see an allround overhaul before it goes on floors." Homi, Mohit and the makers were not available for comment.

ReadsMohit Suri's ambitious Hamari Adhuri Kahani didn't live up to expectations and he's been having a bit of a tough time since then.
Mohit was supposed to work with Karan Johar on the remake of The Intouchables. However, that went downhill - Karan didn't feel that Mohit was the right person to direct the Indian version of the French movie (KJo no longer wants Mohit Suri, July 27).
But there has been a change in the relationship now.
The Intouchables may be out of the picture, but Mohit is penning a new film for KJo. "I am writing a script for Karan," said the Aashiqui 2 director in an exclusive chat with 9xe.
Well, the ball is in Karan's court now. Karan is currently shooting in London for Ae Dil Hain Mushkil and will have a look at the script when he returns.
Here's raising a toast to the renewed friendship of KJo and Mohit!
