I started watching the show when my "Danny" aka Varun Kapoor was roped in to play Sanskaar. And I'm stuck with it now.š
Of course Varun is undoubtedly an intense actor. I don't think anyone disagrees with me on this. I love watching the performance of actors who manage to convey almost everything through their eyes.(KSG is another such example) He is one of those actors that don't really need dialogues. Just a look at their face says everything. I really do love watching his close ups during a lengthy monotonous scene.
However no matter how amazing an actor is, if he doesn't get a befitting character that can utilize his full potential and create a scope for him to showcase his talent, it's all a waste.Which is why I am extremely glad that Varun landed Sanskaar's role.
Finally the reason for the post. Why is Sanskaar so different from the other Indian telly leads?
Well for one, he hasn't become the "all ignoring and pakaoing idiot" when he is in love. He doesn't forget who he is or what he believes in for the sake of pleasing his lady love. Nor has he become the "all-sacrificing martyr" who doesn't defend himself when he's not wrong. He sticks to his beliefs and is not afraid to voice his opinion even when he knows he will not be on the same side as his love. This was clearly seen in today's episode when he gave it back to Swara. It was refreshing.š
He is also not the obnoxious know-it-all kind of hero either, who believes in belittling the heroine and everyone around him to feed his already humongous ego. No, he listens to people's opinions and tries to put his point through too. For example in today's episode,he knows how Swara and her mom feel about him kidnapping Lakshya, however he explains to them why there was no other choice left also the scene where he has to put up with his mom's prejudice . He understands she cannot be reasoned with however, he also cannot stand listening to her speak against his getting together with her. It's adorable.
He's one character that has always said it as he saw it. There is no drama or pretense. He knows he is no where close to being perfect and he's comfortable being that way. He believes in fighting fire with fire. And he is not scared to do it. He is not interested in pleasing everyone nor is he interested in being always right! I mean seriously are any of us perfect? He's honest and real.
He's not Mahaan, he's human ,just like us. Aam Aadmi, the mango people! šWhich is exactly why I think we can relate to him more than any other character on the show. Varun Kapoor you really nailed Sanskaar! Cannot get enough of him . I hope and pray they continue treating the character the way they are doing it now. I do not believe Sanskaar would be great at being anything other than being "human" (Or the only sane person as I'd like to differentiate)š
He's grey and great at it and we absolutely love it! š
