arjun-sussanne affair out in open?

Rumours of Arjun Rampal and Sussanne Khan dating each other have been the fodder for gossip in hallways and corridors of Bollywood.

Last night, 9xe seems to have put an end to all the speculations.

The two were spotted enjoying a quiet evening at a coffee shop in Juhu, Mumbai (it's quite interesting to note that the two chose to venture out in a joint that is frequented by one and all. Maybe the two are taking baby steps towards making their relationship public).

The coffee shop was practically empty when the two walked in. The duo settled down at one of the tables and was engrossed in deep conversation, oblivious to the fact that people had started trickling in as the time passed.

Suddenly, they realised that their presence was attracting the attention of everyone sitting at the now-crowded coffee shop. What's more, one of the visitors even tried clicking a picture of the two.

Surely, Arjun and Sussanne were not prepared for this- they instantly left the joint. An eyewitness told 9xe, "They got extremely uncomfortable with the public attention and fled in Sussanne's car. Arjun's SUV followed them behind."

Just in case you've missed the build-up to the Arjun-Sussanne link-up, here's a refresher.

When Sussanne ended her 14-year marriage with Hrithik Roshan in 2013, the Rock On! actor was rumoured to be one of the reasons behind the split. Of course, when asked about their equation, both Sussanne and Arjun parroted B-town's staple response (We're good friends) only with a minor twist. Here, Sussanne claimed to be "best friends" with Arjun's wife, Mehr Rampal.

In fact, the two star wives even gave an interview to a leading daily about how the Arjun-Sussanne affair was purely a figment of the media's overactive imagination. Okay, if you say so.

However, the rumours did not die down. In fact, with time, they got only louder. You know, there's no smoke without fire!

It was even said that Arjun had moved out of his house and was staying put in a hotel in Bandra. In fact, when 9xe had asked the actor about it, he got rather uncomfortable and scurried away after saying "Okay, thank you" (Arjun Rampal throws a fit, January 9).

Talks of Arjun and Mehr considering divorce also started doing the rounds.

In fact, the Arjun-Sussanne story reached a high last week when it was reported that Sussanne is gearing up to tie the knot with Hrithik's good friend'. 9xe even got in touch with Sussanne's mother, who claimed that the reports were baseless

Must say, Arjun and Sussanne had maintained an impenetrable facade. Until last night, that is.

Cutting back to the present. This is the first time in the last 2 years that Sussanne was spotted with Arjun minus Mehr around.

A quick question: Will the duo now come out and profess their love for each other in public?
