Welcome Back grossed a decent 2.50-2.75 crore nett on its eight day. The collections have not dropped much despite the new release Hero. The collections are 30-35% down from Thursday which is pretty good considering there was a big release. The film is on course for 100 crore nett business but it will be close run thing. A big 50% plus jump on Saturday will make the 100 crore nett mark a bit easier otherwise it may take 4-5 weeks to get there if it gets there.

Still whether it gets 100 plus or 98 crore nett, it's pretty much the same thing and the film has done well. The weekend should finish up in the 10-12 crore nett range depending on the growth on Saturday and Sunday. A lot will also depend on how Hero does on Saturday and Sunday.

Welcome Back is a comedy success after a long time and barring West Bengal and Mysore it has done good business in all the circuits with the bonus being strong business overseas.

WELCOME BACK Had Good Jump On 2nd Saturday

There is not much business from releases in last few week at box office as no film managed great business post ''Bajrangi Bhaijaan''. ''Phantom'' and ''Drishyam'' remained below par despite good content due to slow opening and now big massy entertainer ''Welcome Back'' struck big over weekend.

''Welcome Back'' released across 3200 screens and there is mix expectation from the film. Few were expecting it to score among masses riding on sequel advantage but due to poorer lead pair film was not expected to do huge biz. Film opened to average reviews and anyways such films purely depends on reaction among masses.

Film took a decent to average start at box office all over and occupancy is around 30%-35%. Film scored among family audience and that is why it grew substantially from evening onwards. Film had huge day one of 14.35 cr nett on day one which was 3rd best opening of 2015. Saturday was crucial and film passed the test with flying colors.

Film collected 17.05 cr nett on day two which was good 20% jump and this was due to Janmastami holiday and family audience has taken to the film in big way. Film again grew by 17% and collected huge 19.60 cr nett on Sunday. Film had weekend total of 51 cr nett. As expected, film dropped by 55% in urban centers but held well with 40-45% drop in mass centers. Film kept dropping on weekdays and collected 7.52 cr nett on Monday, 6.15 cr nett on Tuesday, 5.05 cr nett on Wednesday and 4.25 cr nett on Thursday.

Film did not drop much on 2nd Friday and collected 2.25 cr nett with just 30% drop from Thursday. Film jumped on 2nd Saturday and collected 4.50 cr nett which means it is heading for 12 cr nett 2nd weekend.

Film has total of 80.72 cr nett in nine days. Film crossed 100 cr worldwide gross in four days. Despite high budget, it seems to heading for safe zone and 100 cr nett looks certain from here unless it falls badly on weekdays in 2nd week. Film also added 21.38 cr (2.1 million $) in 3 days overseas and 29 cr in week one..

Welcome Back had a decent second weekend grossing a little under 12 crore nett. The film did well on Saturday and Sunday. The total after ten days is a around 85 crore nett. The second weekend business for Welcome Back is as follows.
