these reality shows hv a major problem. either the contestants win by popularity or by sympathy votes.

i can only hope this time the best will win. although sudha is gud dancer, but i think sandhya has a lot of potential too. sudha is trained classical dancer and this will also act as her advantage along with her leg. i really dont understand y the channels invite trained dacers along with untrained ones. that is not fair.

i only hope prachi doesnt win by popularity alone. her main prob was that she did not lip sync and that will make her lose points among judges. her popularity will gain her votes. so, i think at least she shud dance very well so that there can be a fair competition. also i think jeetendra may favour the balaji actors. that way too prachi has advantage.

Sudha is not here to do Bharatnatyam, the one she is trained in. Salsa and western dances is the concept of JDJ and as Sudha mentioned today that she needs to undo her classical dance postures and start from scratch.

If she dances well, which she did then she deserves votes. Sympathy or not. She was equally good along with Sandhya.

Well, that debate has been on for quite some time now. Started with inclusion of Rajeshwari and Varun Badola in NB, when Rajeshwari was a trained classical dancer, carried on last year when Bakhtyaar, another choreographer/ dancer participated...

But in the case of Sudha, she is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and as she was telling Urmila, maybe her training will come in her way, when she is using other dance forms. The only advantage she will have is her body is used to the movements and the rhythm, which others may not have. But then again, the others have some experience of dancing either in their private time out at parties etc. or in movies/ television shows.

The biggest disadvantage would be for people like Negi or Jadeja or Shakti Kapoor's wife in NB, who have absolutely no clue of dancing, neither have they done it earlier and their competing with others who are used to the stage and or dance forms puts them at a slight disadvantage.

sympathy votes ? hmmm ....well i dun think sudha will get any sympathy votes as such ...she is a gud dancer and if she will get votes it will b cuz she deserves it! i think sympthy votes cum when we dunno the participants ...and they r normal ppl .....so we need sum or teh otehr criteria to judge but here they r celebrities .....so most of teh ppl will get votes according to theri populartity and fan following and then they will get cuz of their dance! i dun think in celebrity contest ...sympathy takes place anywhere as their life is an open book already ....and ppl see them juss as celebrities...........and will vote for the person whom they like the most!
and bout sudha being teh trained dancer ..well ..i dun think it matters .....except 1 or 2 i think all knows some form of dancing in one or teh otehr way.....

She is a good classical dancer. The way she danced to me it didnt look like salsa at all but i think she danced ok.

My brother thinks that with a fake leg if she can move this much then she should just be given the show because she is one step ahead of everybody in the show. I know it dosent make sense to me 😡 but who cares I am not gonna argue with him. He cant vote anyways.

But to be honest she should not be allowed to participate at all not because she is handicap but because she is a well trained dancer. Classical or non classical if u are a dancer then the whole body language is diffrent yaar. Plus the sympathy vote factor. She dosent want sympathy votes and she is trying to dance good but the people will give her sympathy votes anyways and to me thats not fair.

Just my two cents.

Raunaqwa, completely agreed. Some take it to like duck to water, and some dont. Manasi Roy was a case where she was so uncomfortable on stage, Rohit despite being good, paid the price for Manasi's stiffness. Tina adapted to it really well. Same with Manav and Shweta, there, Shweta was initially uncomfortable but by the time they got out of the show, she had picked it up very well.

Sometimes you find a winner, sometimes you dont.

For those who dont adapt to it like Gauri and Hiten, it is a bit of a disadvantage for them, particularly when they compete against people like Tanaz and Bakhtyaar, both trained dancers.

I would say - that because of examples like Tina and Varun Badola (who incidentally was very stiff during the initial round) that possibly the format allows non dancers to compete with Dancers. Isnt that why a Hussain Tina win against a Tanaz Bakhtyaar jodi as well.

This is dancing with stars and people from all walks of life are selected. It is very difficult for a Bharatnatyam dancer to do western form of dancing. Sudha only has disadvantage.

When we put a kid in a class do we check if everyone has the same IQ? No. Everyone works hard. Some less and some more.

Even otherwise everyone is not in the same level on JDJ. Prachi, Jay and Ronit have mass support because of their daily soaps. So is that fair?
