Some Nach Baliye 3 participants have been complaining of 'injuries', but still rehearsing flawlessly. Evidently it's just a ploy to garner sympathy votes

A few contenders of the ongoing season of Nach Baliye have been overcome by an inexplicable urge to rave and rant about their minor injuries. The sob stories of a broken toe here and a torn hamstring there, usually precede their performances, and are strategically shot at the judges (Vaibhavi Merchant, Ishaa Koppikar and David Dhawan). However, the tales of agony have not gone down well with the judges and their fellow contestants. Vaibhavi says, "A few of them keep complaining about their injuries on the show. But we are not sympathising with them."

Reportedly, Amita Sethi (Vikas Sethi's wife) has been complaining about a hairline fracture on her foot, but when it comes to rehearsals she has been getting her moves easily. A contestant on condition of anonymity informs, "It's surprising how Amita keeps complaining about her foot and then rehearses for six hours at a stretch. She doesn't even limp while walking." Amita retaliates back by saying, "I cannot lift my right foot at all and performance is getting affected. But I'm not going to furnish anyone with a doctor's certificate." She further adds, "I'm not here to feign injuries. And who would want to fall ill at the first place? As for other contenders who have managed to pull up a good show they must have taken high-dose painkillers."

The show, in its second week, is already a hotbed of controversies. It's alleged that Rakhi Sawant's boyfriend Abhishek Awasthi too has been moaning over a torn hamstring only to garner sympathy.

Vikas and Amita Sethi

The story goes that while doing a split move on the stage he had torn his hamstring and has been under medication since then. But that didn't prompt him to take any rest from the all-day-long rehearsals. Another participant informs, "Abhishek walks straight and manages to do his rehearsals effortlessly. But he keeps talking about his injury. I don't know why they are exaggerating their minor injuries."

Vaibhavi, who is not in a mood to sympathise, says, "If they are thinking that the stories are going to make us lenient, it's definitely not happening. Nobody has put a gun to their head and asked them to perform. They can choose to step down if they are seriously hurt." The other jury member Ishaa Koppikar adds, "We just turn a deaf ear to all their problems and give them scores purely on their dancing talents. We have seen the world and we just don't get perturbed by their stories."
