it got the screeens and showtimes which were in accordance to the stature of that movie...

(and as someone stated in this thread...a small film should be pitted against a big one on festivals and both will excel)...
but everyone knows what did happened... it was a major disaster despite being low budget, good buzz, proper screenings...
so there is another big question mark here..

Did you truthfully expect Ugly to be a superhit film?
If you read the reviews, if you read people's reviews, you'd realize that the movie made the kind of buzz and impact that it intended to.
But it's more of a laughing matter, if you thought that the makers wanted it to be as much as a financial success as say, PK 😆
With that said, there ARE other filmmakers who do want superhit fares, which is reflected in the kind of movies they make. It's THOSE that are in question here
