of course the three festival holidays matter a lot but u need stars who can pull the crowd like Khans/Hrithik or a film which is preffered by family audience to watch during this period.
Said it before , minimum two movies should release on every big holiday, a smaller film will co exist against a biggie if its worth it.

one of the reasons why i want Bajirao to do well coz it will then give courage to other filmmakers to pit their movies against Khans on big holidays.
