Sandeep, who is married to Ashrita, a dentist by profession, and has two daughters with her, aged eight and five, has filed for a divorce. And rumours were doing the rounds that he is keen on tying the knot with Karisma as soon as their respective marriages are annulled.However, it seems that will have to wait.
Sandeep married Ashrita in 2003. All was hunky-dory till Ashrita suspected him of infidelity.Said Manjula, "Sandeep was not loyal to her and we have proof of that.Although Ashrita tried her best to save the marriage, Sandeep filed for divorce. He had even fixed CCTV cameras in the house and removed the latches from rooms so that she couldn't lock the doors from inside."
To be fair, whatever his faults as a husband, Sunjay has at least proved to be a devoted father, making several trip to Mumbai every month to spend time with his daughters ' but that's hardly any consolation for the long suffering Lolo. Though he's been battling for custody of the children, your diarist has learnt that the courts have taken a dim view of Sandeep's claims after his torrid extra marital affair with a journalist-turned-fashion marketing whiz was revealed. The lady in question is pretty well connected in Bollywood circles ' she had joined a celebrity management firm which handles some top stars before branching out into the online fashion retailing business in association with two star wives. We hear that it's at a party thrown by some of her filmy friends that Karisma first met Sandeep. The irony is inescapable - after all that finger pointing about Sunjay's alleged relationship with Priya Sachdev (who was earlier married to US based hotelier Vikram Chatwal), now we have Karisma playing the same role in Sandeep's life. Clearly, it's a game two can play.
