Humdard

When the person she was supposed to love, gave her pain.

When the person she was supposed to be with, left her.

When the person she was supposed to live for, gave her reasons to die.

Then a person came, who soothed her pain.

Then a person came, who stood by her.

Then a person came, who gave her reasons to live.

When one taught her to hate, the other taught her to love.

When one was her Dard, the other was her Humdard.

Inspired by the movie, Humari Adhuri Kahani.

For the first time, I'm writing something dark. So, your response will give me confidence to continue. I will continue if I get a nice response 😳

~Teaser~

"Excuse me," the doctor's voice made him turn back to face the doctor, before glumly listening, "you can meet her if you want."

He nodded slightly and walked towards the room, when he was again stopped by the doctor, "She is really scared. We were just able to ask her name from her.. Khushi. She is weak and needs ample amount of rest. And yes, please see if police is needed in her case, or something."

He again just nodded his head, his face devoid of any kind of emotion.

He slowly entered the room, not wanting that she gets panicky by his presence.

"Khushi.." He breathed out very softly, catching her attention the very second. She looked away from the window and straightened herself from her curled posture, before looking in her lap and holding back her tears.

"How are you feeling?" He kept his voice soft to not to scare her, maintaining a comfortable distance from her.

"It's hurting." She said in a muffled voice, feeling her throat fill up with tears which didn't allow her to speak properly.

"Why were you running? Was someone chasing you?" He asked all of a sudden and he regretted his words the next minute as she burst into tears, sobbing hard with both her palms cupping her mouth.

"Hey.. Hey relax.. I didn't mean to--" he moved forward and held her by her shoulder, while she continued to cry.

"He r..rap..raped m..me" she managed to stammer in between her painful sobs, closing her eyes as the pain became intolerable.

"Who?" He asked, an expression of shock covering his hard face, while a feeling of sympathy took over his heart.

"My husband.." Her tears lowered down to numbness, as she looked into his eyes with an agonized expression, making him gasp in shock at her answer.

Interesting! So Shyam is Khushi's husband? But he is evil! And then Arnav is gonna help her! Its Arnav who is with Khushi now right?
