Salman Khan suggested Kangana&#039;s name for &#039;Katti Batti&#039;: Director

Mumbai: It seems that actress Kangana Ranaut has found a new fan in Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Filmmaker Nikhil Advani says Salman suggested Kangana's name for his forthcoming film "Katti Batti".

Advani, who has worked with Salman in films like "Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute To Love" and "Hero", says Salman liked the script of "Katti Batti" and felt that the "Queen" actress would be the perfect choice to play the role of Payal.

"Salman loved the script as soon as he heard it and suggested that Kangana would be the perfect fit for Payal's character. Later that night, Salman called Kangana, who was in New York and told her that Payal's character was tailor made for her. As soon as Kangana got back in town we took things forward," Advani said in a statement.

"Katti Batti", which also stars actor Imran Khan, will release on September 18.

Wait this movie is still not out yet?? How come there are no songs from the movie?? Another pakka flop for Mr. bhanja. 😆

They will start promotion in a week.

Honestly, don't care for this new fad of releasing a trailer much in advance 3 months or so with no follow up promotion until 4 weeks prior to release. Rather prefer the 6 week race from trailer to release. TWMR was a good example of expedite promotion recently- trailer, followed by a song release each week and scene snapshots until movie release. 5 weeks, mamla khatam ...

Good choice Salman ;).

Aamir and Kiran have seen and liked the movie. 😃

I don't get why they released the trailer so early. Nikhil Advani has also directed Hero, the trailer for that film came out later and it will release before Katti Batti.
