Next morning, abeer stirred a little and cuddled close to the meher, who was like a drug for him... A drug he couldn't get enough of... He opened his eyes and wondered what would it be like waking up next to her every morning. How perfect his life would be...!!! Every morning, he would look at meher, the first thing his eyes would see and every night, he will sleep looking at her beautiful face and she wrapped up in his arms.
Abeer turned meher around and was about to wake her up when he noticed that her eyes were swollen. He wondered what could have happened to her eyes but decided that he should let her sleep for some more time. He got up from the bed and went for a hot shower to kick start his day. The last day of their trip and tomorrow they will be back to their routine life and busy schedule.
Abeer was dressed in blue denims teamed up with a white shirt, sleeves rolled up and top three buttons undone. He looked at meher sleeping like a baby on the bed and all he wanted at that moment was to tale her. He wanted her but jumping on her early morning like a hungry tiger was a bad idea... Very bad idea... He later settled onjust kissing her forehead before waking her up. Abeer sat on the floor beside the bed and when his lips touched her forehead, he realised that meher was burning in fever... High fever.
Leaving her alone burning in high fever, abeer couldn't even think about it. He stayed beside her all day taking care of her and checking her temperature, giving her medicines. Madhvi tried convincing abeer to leave meher's side for sometime and eat something but abeer couldn't do it. He couldn't leave meher alone and prayed for her to atleast open her eyes.
"Ask her to wake up mom... " abeer said to madhvi.
"She will be fine abeer... Its only fever.."
"I haven't seen her that vulnerable..."
Madhvi smiled at Abeer and ruffled his hair.
"I will send some fruits for you..." saying this madhvi left the room.
Meher opened her eyes and her eyes looked with a pair of chocolate brown orbs. The pair of eyes which held immense love, concern and care for her. Abeer smiled at meher and took her in his arms sitting beside her. Meher hugged him back happily.
"You scared me..." Abeer whispered brushing away a strand of hair from meher's face.
"I love you..." Meher replied shifting more close to abeer.
"Love you more... But mere baby ko fever kaise ho gya... How...??" Abeer asked.
Meher shrugged her shoulders and hid herself in abeer's chest. Abeer then gave meher a glass of water followed by some fruits. Meher didn't realise she was hungry until she ate the first bite.
"You were taking care of me the whole time... (Abeer nodded) So sweet..." Meher appreciated abeer.
"So what will I get as a thank you gift...??"
"Anything you want..."
"A kiss..."
"No... I can't let you share my bacteria abeer... " meher replied shaking her head in negative.
"Haha... I wouldn't mind it... I will be sharing my life with you honey... Bacteria is nothing..."
"It's due... The kiss... Just remember it.. " meher said sweetly.
In the evening, meher felt restless and asked abeer to take outside for a stroll but he straightaway refused. Meher threw several tantrums and abeer finally agreed as a result. They were silently walking in the garden holding each other's hand and enjoying the weather.
"Abeer... What took you so long last night...?? I mean I don't remember you coming back... You surely did come after I dozed off..." Asked meher being very careful with her words.
"Ohh that... It was nothing baby... But yes I was disappointed when I returned... " replied abeer.
Meher faintly smiled and continued walking.
"Now let's take you back princess..." said abeer and meher made a cute pout silently requesting abeer to let her stay outside for more time.
"Here you are..."
Abeer and meher turned to come face to face with kuber, abeer's father. Kuber asked meher about her health and told abeer to take meher to shasha's room. Abeer wanted to argue with kuber but meher stopped him.
"Actually uncle... I.. I was wondering if I could stay with abeer or for that matter aunty... They make me feel like I'm home... Only if you permit..."
Kuber smiled at meher and pat abeer's shoulder "take care of her... I don't want any complaints...".
"Sure dad... No complaints, I assure you.." Abeer replied happily.
The night passed bringing a new day... A beautiful new day. Meher recovered and was feeling much better. They were supposed to go back to Mumbai today and sadly meher wanted to stay. Abeer was already done with his packing and stuff and silently meher sighed looking at him all excited to go back.
"Abeerrr... Promise me we will come here for few days after marriage..."
"I promise love..." Abeer promised.
"This time I spoiled the trip..."
"No sweetie... You made this trip memorable. I can never forget how you surprised me..."
Meher couldn't help but smile at him.
After reaching Mumbai, abeer dropped meher at her house and told Meher's mother to not let meher get out of the bed for the next two days. Meher got irritated at first but then felt elated thinking how much abeer loves her.
After two days, meher went college and met her friend sneha. Sneha told meher how amazing and useful the internship was and even showed her the internship certificate. Meher had a close look at the certificate and for a second regretted going to lonavla; missing such an opportunity. She was done with the day when abeer came to pick her up. Meher quietly got into the car and kept looking at the road and trees. Abeer wondered what was wrong with me her and when he asked her, she intelligently avoided answering it.
"Its my birthday tomorrow"
"I know abeer..." said meher.
"So how can you not come babe... I want to be with you.." Abeer reasoned.
"I will be beside you next year... And I will be meeting you tomorrow baby... Just not tonight..."
"I will ask your parents for permission... You agree first..."
"Abeer honestly I don't have a good feeling about this... We should stay home tonight... We will meet tomorrow for sure... And tonight, we can always talk on mobile..." explained meher.
"It will be your birthday gift to me... Meet me and make my birthday even more special..."
"Hmm.. Ok... I will talk to mom and dad..."
After much persuasion and effort, meher convinced her parents to give her the permission to go out with Abeer for a while. Meher texted abeer about the same and changed into a simple peach top teamed up with denims. Around 10 pm, Abeer picked up meher from her place and took her on a romantic drive on his bike.
"We should have done this earlier abeer.." Meher said happily when a raindrop fell on her face.
"I know... These romantic drives always work..."
"I'm talking about the bike ride..."
Meher giggled and hugged abeer.
"This rain... It gonna ruin the surprise I planned for my birthday..." Abeer said in frustration, when it started raining heavily.
"You planned a surprise for your own birthday... How self obsessed of you abeer..." Meher burst into laughter.
Abeer made a face and accelerated the speed of the bike. Meher got scared of the speed and asked abeer to slow down. Abeer shook his head saying that the bike is in his full control and there is no need to worry.
"We have to reach there asap... The rain is not gonna stop I guess..." Abeer told meher.
"Ok... "
Meher closed her eyes and clutched on to abeer. Abeer smiled and concentrated on driving until his mobile started ringing. Abeer took out the mobile from his jacket and received the call, while still driving.
"Hey... Thanks buddy... Yeah for sure... Pakka "
Meher nudged abeer to disconnect the call and drive. He put the mobile back in his pocket and meher kissed his right cheek.
"Happy birthday my love...!!! I wish you all the happiness in the world abeer... I really wish that god gives me every single sorrow of yours and in return give you every little joy or happiness of mine... " said meher.
Abeer was really touched by meher's loving words and he turned his neck back towards her to thank her.
"Thank you meher... I love you..."
"I love you too..." replied meher.
"Abeerrr" meher shouted.
Abeer looked at the road and saw a truck coming towards them in full speed
