CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Meanwhile back at Ishita's, she had walked out of Raman's place without even having any consideration for what was going to happen next. Mihika who ran after her just grabbed a hold of her hand once they got out of the taxi and said
'Ishu will you just stop... Calm down and talk to me...''
'What is there to talk about? I just want a drink... Do you have any cash on you, I left my wallet back at the house...'' answered Ishita
'What the hell... No... No more alcohol for you my dear. You have to go for orientation tomorrow and it wouldn't help to show up hang over...'' Said Mihika as she grabbed Ishita's hand and pulled her into a cafe that was nearby, ordering coffee.
Ishita sat down almost as if she was giving into what her sister was saying although she looked like she really didn't want to. She walked over to the counter and bought some coffee before they got seats. Mihika handed Ishita the coffee as she looked at her almost as if she wanted to read what was on her mind.
They sat in silence for sometime all not saying a word as Mihika recognised that her sister wanted her space although she wasn't going to give it to her
'Ishita...'' Mihika finally called her but she kept quiet
'Ishita you can't keep this inside, you have got to talk about it...'' added Mihika
'Why...''' Said Ishita
'It helps relieve the pain...'' said Mihika
'Oh Mihika trust me talking about it will not reduce any pain that am going through and will just make it worse. If I talk about it, it will mean that I have to think about it, if I think about it I am going to have to feel and when I feel it will hurt so bad so I am opting not to talk... I am in no mood to talk although I could really use a drink right now...'' Answered Ishita as she fought back the tears
Mihika looked at her sister and her heart went out to her. She was very good at keeping things inside not wanting people to worry about her but this hurt and even she couldn't hide it. Mihika was so furious that Shagun had done this but she didn't want to push the matter as Ishita was clearly angry enough for the both of them.
She did the only sisterly thing she thought was right and pulled her sister in hugging her as tight as she could but Ishita just held her sister back still not letting anything out. She was refusing to cry for anything much less for someone as unworthy as Raman.
Mihika and Ishita spent some time at the cafe but it wasn't working and all Ishita wanted to do was just chug down as much alcohol as she could get her hands on. Mihika didn't know what to do much less stop her and just let her do what she wanted. Maybe then she would allow herself at least feel whatever was going on because until that happened, there was no was this was going to stop.
They went to the bar and Ishita pretty much drunk herself silly and could barely stand up. She was throwing up and Mihika could barely contain her. It was becoming a problem and she didn't know what to do and given they were in a new city, she didn't know who else to call except Raman.
'Raman where are you, please she is just acting crazy...'' Said a worried Mihika as Ishita began stumbling as she walked through the parking lot
'Whop... Mihi...'' she said slurring her words
'Ishita please will you...'' Mihika tried to call out her name but Ishita just stumbled and fell down
'Ishu... Oh God...'' Said Mihika as she grabbed her sister removing her from the ground
'Uffoo Raman...'' Said Mihika who was beginning to worry because it was quite late in the night and they were in a place that was so inappropriate for two women to be let alone a drunken one.
She took her sister away from the parking lot and stood by the gate as she waited for Raman.
Raman who had received a call from Mihika had been looking for them but had so far failed to find them. He was worried for them especially Ishita who was hurting so much and drinking like that. It wasn't safe and they didn't really know anyone in Mumbai so in a way he was responsible for them.
He frantically drove to where they were worried to his wits and when he saw Mihika standing there with Ishita seated on the ground by the gate. She was leaning into Mihika's leg almost as if she was sleeping.
Raman got out of the car and quickly walked to where they were much to Mihika's relief although she couldn't hide her disgust.
'I wish I had someone else to call I would not have called you.'' She said
'I know...'' he answered as he bent down and helped Ishita to her feet
Mihika grabbed Ishita's phone and purse that she was left laying on the ground and walked to the car as Raman took Ishita's hand and helped her walk.
'No... I don't want to go with him...'' she slurred again but Raman ignored her
She was finding it difficult to walk and let go of his hand falling down in the process. Raman could see she had spoilt her dress with all the throwing up she had been doing and normally one would find it disgusting but he just leaned down and lifted her in his arms carrying her to the car himself.
He looked at her as he made his way to the car that he had parked across the street. Mihika hurried in front of them and opened the door for Raman. He carried her putting her in the back seat before he came back driving them home.
There was an awkward silence in the car and Raman knew Mihika had no interest what so ever to at least listen to his own side of the story. He had screwed up a lot and he knew it and he probably was hurting more than any of them thought.
'Mihika...'' he tried to talk but she wasn't having it
'Don not talk, just drive...'' Said Mihika as she turned to looked at Ishita who was sleeping on her lap in the back of the car
Raman looked through the mirror and he could see Mihika tear up and the worry on her face showed how worried she was for her sister so he kept quiet and continued driving.
As Mihika covered Ishita with a scarf, she could feel something buzzing like a phone. She glided her hand under Ishita's back and she could see it was Raman's phone. She turned it round and she could see Shagun's name buzzing on the screen which made her livid
'Wow she never stops... ' She said grabbing Raman's attention as he looked at her from the mirror
'Here... Your wh**e is calling...'' Said Mihika as she handed Raman the phone
Raman took the phone and looked at the name that was popping on the screen and he began angry. What was Shagun's problem...? He kept thinking to himself. He squeezed the phone in his fist before he opened the car window and throw it outside. He was in no mood to deal with anything.

They got home and since Ishita was already sleeping he didn't want to disturb her and in all honesty it was going to be a problem for Mihika to get her to the house so he instead got to the back door and carried her to the house to her room. He laid her on the bed and turned to look at her as tears filled his eyes because it now finally hit him that there was a chance she was never going to forgive him.
'I am so sorry...'' he said his voice breaking before he excused himself and walked out of the room leaving a surprised Mihika behind
Mihika removed Ishita from the clothes she was in and put her in some clean ones before she tucked her in bed and walked out to go have a conversation with Raman that was overdue.
'I didn't mean to hurt her you know... I swear I never meant to hurt her or anyone...'' he said as he saw Mihika walk in
'But you did hurt her... And very badly might I add. She usually takes things on the chin and sweeps them under the rag but this, even I find it hard to stomach...'' Said Mihika
'You think I don't know that. I feel so horrible right now but knowing her she is never going to give me a chance to try and explain. She and I were not dating when I was with Shagun and once I realised how I felt about her, I ended it.'' Said Raman
'You don't get it. This has nothing to do with whether or not you were dating her. If you're willing to cheat with someone, chances her high you will cheat on her. Shagun had a boyfriend and you knew it...'' Said Mihika
'I didn't at first. But that is not an excuse because I did find out and was selfish and didn't care so I didn't end it. I know...'' he said as tears filled his eyes and for the first time since the whole debacle began Mihika saw how much he was hurting. In fact he looked in worse shape than Ishita
'You know... She is the first real thing I have ever had in my life and now it is going to end before it even begins.'' He added
Mihika grabbed the a cup of coffee pouring another for him as she said
'What were you thinking Raman? Seriously, okay maybe in Ishita's case you two were not a thing when you hooked up with Shagun but even then, you had to know she had a boyfriend. ' Said Mihika
'I know... I just don't know how it got this far.'' Said Raman
'Oh No you do know. She didn't just force you. You wanted to sleep with her and you did. Own it and take responsibility and do not make excuses...'' Said Mihika
'No... Your right... I am so sorry...''
'You do not need to apologize to me. I am not the one whose heart you ripped out...You lied so bad that I don't even think that there is any hope for you both. She is so hurt I don't even think she will stay here with you without creating trouble'' Mihika said but Raman interpreted
'No I don't believe that...I have to believe that there is a way back because I can't begin to imagine my life without her. I love her more than anything I can't think otherwise'' As he stood up and walked to where she was and knelt down in front of her and said
'Please Mihika you can't take her away. I... Please I am begging you...''
'That is not my call Raman. She is hurt and humiliated. You slept with her best friend while she was in a relationship with one of her close friends and then continued even after you meet her.Hearing her talk about you tonight, she is going to do everything in her power to make sure you get to feel what she is feeling. I wouldn't blame her though...'' Said Mihika
'I can take that. I deserve it after all and I will take it but I can't give up on her. I cannot give up Mihika I won't...'' he said
'Look I am not trying to scare you or anything but what I saw in her last night. There is a bitch in her that even I think needs praying for. I don't know what you're going to do to make it up to her...'' Said Mihika
'I have to try...'' he said as a lone tear streamed down his face

It had been a long night and Ishita woke up feeling like her head had just been bashed into concrete. She knew she needed to be at the Bhalla offices that day because there was orientation and induction that was going to take place for all the interns and she wasn't going to miss it.
She dragged herself out of bed and took a very much needed bath as she took as much coffee as she could and the hangover remedy that her sister claimed she had made but Ishita knew it was Raman.
She dressed up and walked out of the room only to find Raman sitting at the dining table with Mihika. She walked over to where they were and said to Mihika
'Good morning...''
'Morning Ishu feeling better...'' Mihika asked
'Yes I am. Sorry about my behaviour last night. I promise you it won't happen again.'' Said Ishita as she grabbed an apple at the table
'Good morning...'' Said Raman but Ishita didn't answer and pretended like he wasn't even there
'Mihika what time are you getting back...'' She asked and Mihika looked at her and Raman shaking her head before she answered
'I was thinking that maybe I should stay a few more...''
'I am not a kid Mihika; you do not have to worry about me that much anymore. I will be fine I swear...'' Said Ishita
'Yeah but I was just...'' Mihika tried to say but Ishita interrupted
'No... Your going back home and under no circumstances should you tell mom and dad that I am not doing fine. Tell them I am fantastic and in insight I am or I will be...'' She said as she came forward and hugged Mihika
'Okay fine... I will leave today. But in case of anything, you will have to call me okay'' Said Mihika
'Yeah sure... Now I have to leave otherwise I will be late...'' Said Ishita as she got up from the table and as if on cue Raman followed suit
'I will drop you off...'' He said
'Drop who where...'' Said Ishita as she turned to look at him for the first time that morning
'Work... Weare going to work...'' he said. She looked at him as if he was crazy before she turned to Mihika and said
'Mihika, I can ask Shlok to come drop you off? He and I are going to meet later today...''
'What...'' Said a surprised Mihika
'He and I have a lot of things to do in the next few days plus we have a lot to talk about...'' Said Ishita
'Uhhh No it is fine. I will manage...'' Said Mihika
'Okay suit yourself... Bye...'' She said before she walked out of the door
Raman looked at her walk out and he knew he had a lot of work cut out for him. What he however didn't realise is how he was underestimating the problem because Ishita was more hurt and angry than she was leading on
'What am I going to do? She won't even talk to me...'' He said looking at Mihika but even she just ignored him and walked away from the dining table
'Mihika come on... Even you cannot possibly be ignoring me...'' He said as he followed her to the living room
'Whoa... Okay first of all, we are not friends and secondly I am not helping you with anything. Whatever you are getting you thoroughly deserve and even more. Whatever my sister chooses to do is what I will support and one of the options I hope will be dropping your ass because you do not deserve her...'' Said Mihika before she walked out
Raman looked at Mihika walk away and was quite surprised at the demeanour he was seeing. She seemed different the night before and now it was like she was angry all over again. But he understood where she was coming from because she had to pick a side and it would have been absurd to pick his. And in all honesty, he did deserve what he was getting and maybe even more.
He grabbed his car keys and walked out heading to office to grab all the requirements that were needed for the start of the internship.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN SCROLL DOWN
CHAPTER SIXTEEN
Raman walked into the conference and it was filled with interns. It had close to 16 interns evened out 8 females and 8 males and all of them had gathered around ready to be addressed from one of the managers of the company.
Ishita was seated right across the room and she could barely acknowledge that he was even present. He turned and he could see Shagun was also there and she looked like she had been carrying all night. Her eyes were bulgy and she looked exhausted. When she saw him staring at her she put her glasses on and looked away.
'Okay can we all please gather around...'' Said the Manager and they all obliged
'Alright... My name is Akash Mehra and I am the coordinating executive for this program. You all have been chosen to come and per take in this internship program something that isn't got by everyone so consider yourself lucky. The brochures that are being handed to you contain what our company represents and how you are expected to carry yourselves. The dress code is very important here as this is a fashion house so I would advise most of you to seriously go shopping...'' He said and this went on for about 45 minutes but all the while Raman's attention was on Ishita
'Okay any questions...'' he finally asked and all of them kept quiet
'Fine... There are numbers at the top of your brochures. Find the person whose number you match, that will be your partner for the next 8 weeks. Whatever goes wrong, you both will be held accountable.'' He said causing a few mummers in the room
'Oh and one very important factor, it doesn't matter how you got here or who you knew to get here, in this program you all are the same and you all are dispensable. So be very careful and do not mess this up...'' Added Akash before he walked out leaving them with his junior associated who were supposed take them through the company premises as part of their orientation.
This went on for about an2 hours or so before they all reported back to the conference room. People needed to get to know who their partners and also assignments for the coming weeks.
Raman made his way to the room wanting so much to talk to Ishita but she was ignoring him and clearly giving him the silent treatment. When she saw him approach she turned and tried to walk away but she heard some call her
'Excuse me...'' He called out and when she turned she could see this really good looking man in blue faded jeans and a white t-shirt. He was clean shaven and looked really good.
'I think you are my partner...'' he said
'What...'' she asked
'My number is 5 and I can see so is yours...'' he said
'Oh right... Hey...'' she said politely as she smiled
'Hey...'' He answered as he smiled at her
'I am Ishita Iyer...'' she said as she extended her hand
'Oh Abhi... Abhimanyu Rahgav but everyone calls me Abhi... Nice to meet you...'' He said shaking her hand as he all of a sudden began to look at her with a smile on his face
'So... I guess we will keep in touch...'' she said as she smiled because she realised he was staring and she also knew Raman was looking
'Right that is a date...'' he answered
'For the project...'' she said
'Right...'' she replied before he smiled some more and finally let go of his hand walking out
'Hey how will you find me...'' she called out
'Ohh I will find you Miss. Ishita Iyer...'' she said before he finally walked out
Raman stood there in shock not believing what was going on. I mean Ishita couldn't have possibly been flirting right in front of them. This was not right and he needed to get to the bottom of this before it got worse. There was nothing he feared more than losing her.
He moved to where she was and grabbed her hand and walked out with her. He and she needed to talk. They got outside and he put her into his car driving away.
'Raman if you do not stop this car I will jump out... I swear to God...'' she screamed but he just continued driving increasing ignoring her
Ishita didn't want to be there, she genuinely did not want to deal with him. As the car moved fast she turned and removed her seat belt and opened the door causing Raman to hit the brakes and stop.
'ARE YOU CRAZY...'' He screamed but she just looked at him and got out of the car
Raman reversed and parked his car before he ran after her as she crossed the road
'Ishita wait... Ishita Please... '' He said but she wouldn't listen. He went and stood in front of her
'Ishita please can you just talk to me...'' He said but she looked at him before she walked off hailed a rickshaw and left
Raman watched as she left and felt his heart melt. She looked at him with so much hate and detest that he realised that chances of her forgiving him were so slim. He got back into his car fighting everything in his body not to give up and plan something else

Ishita made her way to Shlok's place because she knew she needed to talk to him. She could only imagine how hard it must have been for him given everything he was about to lose. She walked into his place and she could see the house was still upside down. One would think there was a rave party that had gone on the night before. He was lying on a couch in the living room with a bottle of ram in his hand.
She walked to where he was and tried to get the bottle from his hand only to wake him up. He opened his eyes and looked at her with dried tears down his cheek
'Shlok are you okay...'' she asked but he didn't say anything and just kept on drinking.
He wasn't looking too good and she was a bit worried for him. She tried to sit him up but he was too heavy for her.
'Shlok Oh God...'' she said but it was like he wasn't even understanding what she was saying. She kept on calling his name some more but to no effect and she knew something was off.
She got up using all her strength and took him up as he struggled to stay on his feet and his breathing was not so good as well which caused her to worry. As she struggled to take him to his room he feel backwards and begun having seizures which scared her to death
'Shlok just please hang in there...'' she said as she put him on the ground before she grabbed his phone and scrolled through to try and find an emergency contact. She called an ambulance with tears in her eyes as she pleaded with them to please hurry up and come take him to the hospital

Ishita had been in the hospital with Shlok as she cried having all sorts of regret. She began to wish she could have had a better way to handle all this. Maybe she would have properly prepared him then maybe they wouldn't be in this mess.
She didn't know who to call given most of Shlok's family members were abroad and the only friends she had and could count on had just stabbed her in the back. She called the only person she could think of in that moment to try and get any help and that was Mihika
'I don't know what to do. These people won't tell me anything at all. I am so scared Mihika. He was just there shaking and...'' she said between sobs
'Ishita calm down... He will be fine... Unfortunately I can't come there because I am already on my way back home. Just sit tight and let me think of something...'' Said Mihika as she hang up
Mihika knew that Ishita was way in over her head and the way she was sounding ne would tell she was genuinely shaken and sacred but she also knew that Ishita's ego wasn't going to allow her call the only person who would help her in this scenario and she (Mihika) did it for her
'Raman where the hell are you...'' Said Mihika
'Home... Why... Is everything okay?'' he asked
'Look Ishita is in the hospital...'' Mihika said but before she could even finish Raman was panicking
'What... Where... Is she okay...'' He said
'Relax she is fine ... Somehow... She is in the hospital because something happened to Shlok and she won't admit it but she needs your help. She is freaking out...'' She said
'Which hospital...'' Raman asked and Mihika gave him the details
She also figured Shagun would want to know what happening called her as well telling her where to find Shlok.
It took Raman and Shagun about 25 minutes to get to the hospital as bad luck or fate would have it they arrived at the same time. Raman walked into the hospital barely acknowledging Shagun who was also walking in but Shagun was way too worried to even bother.
'Ishita...'' Called out Raman who could see her seated in the waiting area crying
She got up and looked at him taking a few steps in front but then Shagun walked in and she walked back instead
'Ishu what happened to Shlok...'' Said a visibly terrified Shagun
'You did this... This one is on you... This is your fault... Both of you... What are you even doing here anyway? Why are you here?'' Ishita asked furious at them both
'He is my boyfriend and I have a right to know how he is doing...'' Said Shagun
'No... No... No... You have no right on anything. You do not deserve anything. In fact you both should leave... Right now...'' She screamed
'Ishita calm down... I just want to know how he is doing. How you are doing'' Said Raman as he walked to where she was and tried to hold her
'Do not touch me... And no you're not here to know about him... I do not even know why your here. With her much less... What is this, have you two come to gloat... See how fast you will break us...'' Said Ishita
'That is not far...'' Said Raman his heart breaking
'Ishu you cannot refuse me to see my boyfriend...'' Said Shagun
'He won't be any more if I have anything to do with it...'' Said Ishita as she stared right at Shagun and for the first time Shagun realised that the naive Ishita everyone walked all over was not there anymore.
The doctor walked in that moment telling them that he just had too much to drink on and he was on an empty stomach hence that reaction. They would just keep him hydrated overnight just to keep an eye on him to make sure that he was okay. He showed them where they could find him and left them.
Shagun hurried ahead to try and see Shlok but Ishita grabbed her hand and pulled her back before she turned to Raman and said
'Take yourself and this wh**e out of my sight. You are not welcome here...'' and with that she walked away to go to Shlok's room
Shagun stood there dumb founded not even sure what to say or do. Ishita had no right to stop her from seeing Shlok but she also knew that if Ishita was this pissed, Shlok was ten times worse. She didn't want to argue with Ishita but she wasn't going to leave as well without seeing him
She turned and took her seat leaving Raman standing in the middle of the hospital and Ishita disappeared
'If I were you I would leave...'' Said Shagun
'No one asked for your opinion...'' Said Raman rudely
'What is your problem...'' Said Shagun
'You are my problem...What was the need to just not leave me alone...'' He said frustrated
'Whoa excuse me... I did not force you to do anything and do not talk to me like this was a one sided affair. ' Said a pissed off Shagun
'Why couldn't you just keep your jealous intact? Why did you have to act so crazy at that party?'' Said a pissed Raman
'Okay first of all f**k you Raman. Second of all, the only reason she even found out is because you kissed me at your engagement in your stupid drunken state in her room. That must have been humiliating for her and three do not ever talk to me like that Raman because we both did something wrong and instead of finding reasons to pile the blame on someone else why don't you find a way to fix it instead...'' She said before she walked out tears streaming down her face with a very pissed off expression
Raman knew Shagun was right and they all were so wrong in whatever they did but he just needed someone to blame because he was ashamed and angry with himself. He had so much anger in him for what he had done to possibly the most amazing woman he had ever met.
It killed him that she couldn't even call him when she needed help, it ripped him apart to see how hurt she was and yet there was nothing he could do about it.
Ishita walked in and she could see Shlok was sitting on the bed and when he heard her he turned and looked at her and he could see she had been crying
'Ishita...'' He tried to call her name but she wasn't having it
'No... What the hell is the matter with you? Are you mad...'' Cried Ishita
'I am sorry...'' He said
'That is not good enough Shlok. Why would you choose to do this to yourself? I know it hurts and I am so sorry that you had to find out this way but this is not the way to do it.'' She said as she went and sat with him
'It just... I just wanted to...'' he tried to talk but even his pride wouldn't let him admit how much he was hurting.
When he got back home Shagun had left and he had been drinking. Every time he saw something of hers he remembered her and every time he remembered her he imagined him and that just made him so angry and ripped him from the inside.
Ishita didn't need to ask anymore because just like him, she knew what he was going through. Maybe not completely imagine because his was in a three year relationship that had just gone down the drain.
'Look Shlok I cannot say that I completely understand what you are going through and I figure it must be really hard but this is not helping'' Said Ishita
'It was a mistake that will not happen again...'' Said Shlok a bit ashamed
'What if I didn't show up when I did, then what? Something really bad could have happened to you... Do you realise that...'' Said Ishita who was really upset and understandably so
'I am sorry... I don't know what happened'' he said
'I do... You are pinning over a woman who is so not worth it. She doesn't deserve it...'' Said Ishita
'I said I was sorry now drop it...'' Said Shlok who was getting defensive and angry and she could see it
'Shlok please...'' She tried to talk but he interrupted
'Ishita just back off...'' He said in an angry tone
Ishita looked at him and knew exactly why he was angry at her and she couldn't blame him
'It is okay you know...'' Said Ishita
'Okay to what...'' He said lazily
'Be mad... It is okay to be mad at me...'' She said again
'I am not...'' He tried to lie
'Don't do that. I am not Shagun so stop treating me like her...Talk to me and do not just say things you think I want to hear'' She answered
'Fine... Yes I am pissed that you waited all this while to tell me. Yes I am pissed that you didn't come to me first and most of all am angry because even after knowing it all, you still got engaged to that imbecile...'' He said sighing with relief before he realised what he had said and turned to look at her
Ishita with tears in her eyes knew he had every right to be angry with her and also somewhat blame her. She could have told him earlier, she could have maybe told him first before waiting to do it that way but she also knew that he needed someone to blame for the rest and if he choose her, so be it. So when he talked, she just stood there kept quiet and listened to him talk
'Why didn't do it...'' he asked
'I didn't know how to tell you and if I am being honest, I wanted to humiliate them. I didn't think about you and I am sorry...'' She said
'I am not talking about that, I am asking why did you still go ahead and get engaged to him...'' he asked
'I didn't want my family to be humiliated and ashamed so I just...'' she tried to explain
'That is a bunch of bullshit and you know it. If you cannot be honest with him at least be honest with me...'' He interrupted and she kept quiet
'You love him, there is no shame in that except...'' he said but ended up holding his tongue
'You cannot tell your heart what you feel and yes I may or may not have feelings for him but that doesn't change the fact that I really hate him right now. Look what he has done to me, to you to us. He will pay Shlok I promise you...'' She said as tears filled her eyes
'What do you mean? It is easy to say that but I don't think you have it in you to hurt him.'' He said
'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned Shlok...'' she answered in a way that sacred even him

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
'You cannot tell your heart what you feel and yes I may or may not have feelings for him but that doesn't change the fact that I really hate him right now. Look what he has done to me, to you to us. He will pay Shlok I promise you...'' She said as tears filled her eyes
'What do you mean? It is easy to say that but I don't think you have it in you to hurt him.'' He said
'Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned Shlok...'' she answered in a way that sacred even him
'What the hell are you going to do Ishu...'' he asked
'Not important I am more worried about you than anything else...'' She said
'I am fine Ishu... I promise it was a very bad lapse in judgement that won't happen again...'' he said knowing she was genuinely worried for him
'You need to just let it hurt you know... It is really not healthy bottling things up inside...'' she said causing Shlok to look at her as if she was crazy
'You... You are telling me this...'' Said Shlok
'Well they say do as I say not as I do...'' she said smiling causing him to smile too
'Yeah right... You need to listen to your own advice once in a while...'' He said causing her to shrug her shoulders almost as if she couldn't care
'So tell me something, anything to keep my mind off of this...'' he said
'Well we had orientation today. I am supposed to have a change of wardrobe. Apparently there is a dress code required and I have absolutely nothing in my closet that matches what they want...'' she said
'Ha... wait... they want you to change your clothes. Oh wow... I feel like the world is about to end...'' he said sarcastically
'Stop being like that. I can have a change of clothes you know...'' she said
'Well maybe but I doubt that. Even all the teasing you got when we had just joined College you never changed. I mean you are one of the most rigid human beings I know. You want what you want and what you know is the right way or nothing... I have been asking you to change your wardrobe for years...'' he said
'Oh please I am not rigid. I just like comfortable clothes'' she said with a silly expression on her face
'There is comfortable and then there is curtain. You wear curtains my friend. No offense...'' he said making her have an o-shaped expression on her mouth
Shlok looked at her be surprised at what he had said and threw he head back laughing not believing she didn't see that.
'Whatever I really do not like shopping, so get well soon because you're going to help me out...'' she said letting out a soft laugh
'I am going to enjoy this...'' he said letting out a soft laugh too
'Are you sure you know anything about this...'' she asked
'I am a fashion major, what do you think...'' he said as he grabbed her hand and she extended sitting next to him on the bed
Ishita looked at him and was relieved that he was slowly coming out of his stance. This was the Shlok she remembered and was glad that he was coming back. She smiled when she saw him laugh and for a moment there she remembered how she felt when she first saw him. Maybe it was her subconscious trying to want to do something to hurt them or she was genuinely in that split second feeling something more. As she looked at him she heard a voice behind her call his name
'Shlok...'' Shagun said and both of them turned to look at her
'God you can't take a hike can you...'' Said Ishita
'Shlok please I just wanted to see if you're okay...'' said Shagun ignoring Ishita
'Leave...'' said Ishita
'No it is fine...'' said Shlok causing Ishita to turn and look at him
'I need to do this... I need to open the bottle remember...'' he said looking at her as he tried to convince her that he would be okay
She looked at him sternly feeling protective of him because given everything else he was her friend and she hated that he had to go through all this. He nodded at her as if to convince her that he would be fine and she slowly backed down
She slowly got up from the bed and walked out telling him that she needed to go have a change of clothes but if he needed anything, he would just call her and he agreed. She walked right passed Shagun not even acknowledging that she was there and as she made it to the door she heard him say
'Hey, about that thing...'' causing Ishita to turn and look at him
'Yeah what about it...'' she said knowing he was talking about the shopping
'Oh it is most definitely a date...'' he said winking at her before he smiled. She smiled back at him before she walked out.
Shagun who had absolutely no idea what they were talking about had a sudden wave of jealousy consume her and she felt like blowing up. She walked to him standing at the bottom of his bed.
'So what was that all about...'' she asked
'Nothing that concerns you...'' he answered
It has been barely two days Shlok you can begin making dates with random people...'' she said fighting the tears that were threatening to flow
'Oh wow... you have some nerve Shagun. Are you seriously telling me that? You... ' he said shaking his head as he sat up right on the bed before saying
'What do you want?''
'I just wanted to see how you are? How you were doing? I love you and I was worried about you...'' she said
'Shagun please, do not insult me with these sentiments of yours. It doesn't suit you...'' he said
'It is true Shlok and you know it...'' she replied
'Yeah whatever I am fine now, so you can leave...'' he said
'What... No I am not leaving. We need to talk Shlok...'' she said
'You keep saying that hoping my answer will change. I said all I wanted to say and am done...'' he said
'Shlok you need to understand that I am not perfect. You put me on this pedestal that most people would find it hard to live up to your expectations. I messed up and I am so sorry I want to be with you...'' She said her voice breaking
'You should have thought about that before...'' he said and she interrupted saying
'I cheated I know and I feel so horrible about it.''
Shlok just looked at her and got up from bed grabbing his pants that they put at the end of the bed and put them on
'What are you doing?'' she said as she tried to stop him but he put out his hand as if to stop her
'Shagun for everything that is true and right I am begging you to please leave. I thought I could deal with this but I can't...'' he said in one breath his voice breaking
'Shlok you cannot just keep on ignoring me like I am not a part of your life...'' she said
'I don't... I can't understand how you could do this to me. You destroyed us, you destroyed our relationship and for what... So that you could have Raman Kumar Bhalla as part of your f**k resume...'' he said tears filling his eyes
'Look Shlok you can't talk to me like that. I get your angry...'' she said tears flowing down her eyes but he interrupted
'I AM NOT ANGRY SHAGUN I AM IN PAIN AND YOU PUT ME HERE...''He said tears flowing down her eyes
Shagun looked at him her heartbreaking as she slowly realised that if there wasn't any proof of how hard it was going to be to get him to forgive her, then this was it. He always kept everything inside, he never really let her see that side of him and here he was broken and it was because of her
'Shlok...'' she whispered
'HIM, RAMAN... YOU CHOOSE HIM... YOU SCREWED US UP BECASUE OF HIM...IT WAS SO OBVIOUS I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN'' He said again
'Shlok I am sorry I don't know how many times I will say it...'' she said
'YOU WERE THE ONE PERSON WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO LOVE ME MORE THAN ANYTHING AND YET YOU PUT ME HERE...''He said tears filling his eyes
At this point the echoes of their argument had extended their room and everyone in the waiting room could hear what they were arguing about. Ishita was long gone and Raman who had been outside had gotten back and he was still waiting for Ishita thinking she was still there. When he heard Shlok yell he did the instinctive thing and walked to the room to find out what the hell was going on and this was something he was going to regret
'Shlok are you...'' said Raman as he walked in and he could see Shlok fully dressed
'Is everything okay...'' Raman added
'Oh wow you brought him here really...'' Said Shlok
'I didn't bring him anywhere...'' she answered Shlok as she turned to Raman and said
'What the hell are you doing here...''she said
'There was yelling I thought something was seriously wrong and then...'' Raman tried to explain himself but Shlok did not give him the chance to
Raman watched Shlok stride to where he was and in the next thing he knew he was floating and drifting not feeling his legs under him. Shlok had punched him so hard that he sounded like thunder right inside his skull and in the same instant his ears were ringing. It took him a second or two to gather what was going on only to realise he actually wasn't on the ground but Shlok had managed to grab his hand and he was half way from the ground.
He turned and looked back only to realise he could have hit his head on the edge of on bed. Shlok pulled him back and grabbed his collar pulling him in as he said
'Unlike Shagun I actually how you actually feel about Ishita and I am going to enjoy watching you whimper while I take her away from under your nose, just to teach you how it feels. You started this so better have the ammo and balls to finish it. If she marries you, Shlok Khanna won't be my name.'' He said before he leaned back fixing Raman's collar. With tears in his eyes and in a very calm demeanour he smiled to Raman and said
'LET THE GAMES BEGIN...'' before he grabbed his jacket against doctor's orders and walked out of the hospital
Raman took a few steps back and looked at Shagun who was holding her mouth in shock before he walked out of the hospital realizing that this task had become even harder because right now Ishita was mad and Shlok was her only sounding ear and everything he said in that moment was right so if Shlok was going to wage war, he had an unfair advantage.

2 WEEK LATER
It had been two weeks since they got to Mumbai and a lot of things had changed drastically except for one thing, Ishita and Raman were not speaking to each other, Shagun had moved out of Shlok's place and Ishita spent most of her time with Abhimanyu and Shlok. Raman always imagined they were out partying and also she really just wanted to stay away but he knew something had to change. Shagun always cried everytime she saw them together because for every minute Shlok spent with Ishita
Shlok would drop her at work and pick her up at the end of the day. Shagun tried to begin some bullshit with Raman about how people would begin to gossip since Ishita was engaged to him but he would not listen. He had his own demons to battle and unlike Shagun; Raman had blind faith in Ishita. She would never do that to him.
All four of them were hurting and none of them were willing to deal with the problem. Raman wasn't very good with the situation he was in and most times he didn't know how to deal with what was happening.
He had been waiting for her at home for the longest time because on this particular day she was a bit late than she usual. It had become such a weird and awkward situation, every night she would stay out late and every night he would stay up late waiting for her.
He would try and make conversation when she got back but she could ignore him and the process would continue the next day. The only thing that comforted him was he knew that she was with him there and she was okay.
He waited as always restless because she was late and he had tried calling her but she would not pick his phone calls. He dialled his sister's number filled with worry and completely freaked out
'Raman why are you calling me this late again...'' Said Simmi irritated as she picked up
'I can't get in touch with her please call her for me...'' Said Raman
'Why don't you just call her yourself? She is your fiance after all...'' Said Simmi who was in all honesty a bit sleepy
'Look I wouldn't be asking you if I didn't need this just help me.'' He said and Simmi who could hear the worry in his voice had her attention grabbed
'Raman what the hell is going on. This is the second time in 3 days you're asking me to do this. What happened?'' Said Simmi
'Simmi please...'' he begged
'Okay fine, let me find out and call you back...'' she said hanging up
Raman paced around the room moving up and down as he waited for his sister's call. After a few minutes Simmi called back and said
'She is just outside you gate. She says she is just saying goodbye to her friends and she is fine.'' Said Simmi
'Oh thank God...'' He said sighing with relief
'She also asked me why I am calling her this late...'' Said Simmi
'Oh God did you tell her I asked you to...'' Said Raman
'Of course not, I gave her some bullshit about sister in law bonding and stuff.'' Said Simmi
'Did she buy it...''Said Raman
'Yeah although I don't think she will continue buying it if this goes on...'' Said Simmi
'I know... I will take care of it...'' Said Raman
'What the hell Raman? That is what you said last time. Will you just tell me what is going...'' Said Simmi but Raman interrupted
'Nothing... Everything is fine. Thank you for this I will make it up to you. Go to go Good night...'' Said Raman hanging up such that his sister wouldn't as any more questions
He put the phone back down and decided to walk to the gate and see what was going on. He could hear giggles and small laughs and he began getting anxious as if something was about to go wrong and he was right.
When he walked out of the gate he could see Shlok's hands around Ishita and she had hers around him. He slowly ran his hand on her back before he rested on the nape of her neck as he pulled her in kissing her forehead.
Raman stood there, shocked not knowing whether to look away or scream or be mad or just go back inside. His brain and feet were not communicating and he didn't know what to do or say that he just stood there staring at them.
