the problem is he is not only looking after his own family, but also his sisters...the person who cudve stopped it was he himself, but maybe he isnt aware of it...his wife, but she is a cow...and his mother, but for her only sarla n her family exists...and she won't mind even if Raghav n Kaushalya die looking after Sarla n her kids...

It is obvious His mother is very jealous and dose her best not to allow him to spend the time with his family. The dance at the sangeet was a perfect example after 2 mins she sent Khushiya to get her water and pulled him to her side...he was not even aware of what happened because he was just happy they were happy. But the kids knew!!!
He truely is unaware of the games in the house , and he trusts his mother, since the wife dose not complain...well he goes with what Amma says.

i guess amma is jealous number 1, when she sees mother - son love, or father- daughter love or even husband - wife together she has some issues

I think in this case , the fault lies with the kids too. They could sit down and make him understand. In stead they are scared of him and minute Shanti Devi says Raghav there is shiver in his family. Why I wonder?

Even Kaushi for that matter does not want to trouble or concern him with her problems but unless she opens her mouth how will he know. He comes home tired from work and the only complaints he hears is that of his mum.

I know he shushed Nimmi down yesterday but talk to him when he is in a better mood .

I do not like his character at all in the show but at the same time can understand his nature .

Coming from What we learned about Ragav's Character from Varun . I will agree. No he is not perfect and his relationship with his kids could use a lot of work. But this man is not uncaring towards his family. He did what was needed to feed his family. But the price he paid for that is his took a toll on his person as well as his relationship with his kids.
His mother is a jealous woman every one can see that. His wife took it on herself to no complain because she realizes he is tired and needs his rest. As I said before You can't fix what you don't know and it is obvious during the wedding he is never around to see what is happening.
As for believeing Sarla...like everything else he is going by what he is hearing. We can see he gets irritated by his sister when she starts her drama, but maybe he dose not believe his sister will want bad for his kids. They are constantly praising those three, while Nimmi is seen as dumb , Shivam is seen as careless always out of the house playing cricket B4 he got the job and Preeti is the perfect one. The fact is sealed in his eyes because Nimmi failed her exams, and Shivam really was out of the house most of the time. What is he to believe. ??
They are to afraid to speak up or are either stopped by the mother. What is he to believe??
Yes he flirts with his wife and she enjoys the attention, what is wrong with that? Should he go flirting with the neighbor? He dose not stand up for her? Hmm How can he when she has a smile on her face and says everything is fine. He dose his part in small ways to help her, giving her his pocket money, opening the can, making her drink the juice , even the gajra. He realized after the fact that what he asked her to do with the chain was wrong, but at the moment given that his mother was about to have a heart attack about the Ghar ka izzat he told her to give. She did. It was wrong yes. he knew that he was not malicious about it.!
Coming to his relationship with Shivam, it is strained because 1 Shivam is aware of his grand mothers and buas actions. He is either afraid or no confident to speak up. He admires his father but again maybe he grew up hardly seeing him, and today whatever he dose to impress him goes wrong. That needs to change. Ragav and Shvam both need to bridge the gap.
