This days movie are judged hit/flop in 3-5 days whether its able to cross 100 cr. mark. But are this number for real or fake ? I read somewhere 10-12 year ago movie prices were in Rs. 20's or 30's and they could manage to collect 10-20 cr. in 30 days for hit movie. This days movies prices must be in Rs. 100's (I m not sure about Indian prices) so thats 5 times old prices but then movies don't even run for 15 days.
Don't scratch your brain... I did some calculation.
Rs 20 x Audience= 10 cr. in 30 days i.e 5 million audience (lifetime) which comes 166k audience per day. (old)
Rs 100 x Audience = 100 cr. in 5 days i.e 10 million audience (5 days) which comes to 2 million audience per day
Abb India ke abbbadi 10 times toh badhi nahi in 10 year aur na hi theatres have grown by 10 fold to accommodate to 2 million people.
I don't trust this number... I feel its new marketing strategy to pull crowd in the movie theater. I was almost tempted to watch Humshakal and Himatwala movie after I read it crossed 50 crore in 3 days inspite of bad review. thx god I didnt go.
