Nope, the box office numbers are not unrealistic. The ticket prices are increasing in India. Multiplexes are nowhere close to 100 range. They go as high as 1000 - 2000 depending on the movie demand. So it's up to you as the audience, whether you want to pay that much for a movie. Most people do and that's why the box office numbers are as high as they are.

I'm not a big fan of Bollywood and most of the stars, especially the manner in which they boast about their charity as if they are doing a huge favour to the country, so I chose not to watch movies in the theatre except for a few. I would rather use that elsewhere where it is needed and more efficient but that's just me.

So yeah they have gone up abt 4 times.

Watched a movie in multiplex in February in Kolkata...tkt price was 200 each.
