A story of their love, passion and separation...
This story of Vibharth starts off from the day Parth left the school with his mother as the semester ended. Vibha had just given her resignation letter to Urmila Maam and he didn't even get a chance to speak to her. His Mother was adamant that it was a mistake on Vibha's part and that he should not try and fix anything. Parth left the school, looking as glum as he never had before.
Vibha left the school teary eyed, as she knew she was never returning back, to the place where she met the love of her life! She wished things had been different, she wished no one had found out about them, but even for a second she didn't wish that she hadn't fallen in love. It was the most wonderful feeling, to feel what she felt for Parth, and it had been a lot harder to fight it than to accept it and savour it. But now it seemed like it just wasn't meant to be.
Parth began to spend his days at home staring at blank spaces as he didn't know what to do. He had tried calling Vibha a few times, but each time he called, Dadi would tell him that Vibha was not around. He didn't know why Vibha was avoiding him. He knew that she loved him just as much as he loved her. But to not talk to her was killing him on the inside. It was bad enough as it was that he couldn't see her everyday, but it had been a week since he left school, and a week since he hadn't spoken with her.
Dadi was worried about Vibha. She had been trying to keep busy, trying to look for jobs and teaching dance. Dadi kept asking her what exactly had happened at school, and all she had managed to tell her was that she fell in love with Parth and when the Principal found out they were expelling Parth, so she had to accept the blame and resign instead. And that their love had no future. She didn't have the courage to tell Dadi that the one time she tried to call Parth, his Mother had answered the phone and she had told her to stay away from her son's life. She had told him that she would never allow anything to happen between them, and if she wanted his happiness, then she should stay away from his life.
Vibha had always thought of other's emotions and sentiments before hers. And she simply didn't want to ruin Parth's relations with his Mother, as she knew how important she was for him. He had always ever wanted to make his Mother happy and be with her always. And Vibha didn't want to take this away from him. So she decided to stay away from him, for his happiness. She thought she was doing the right thing.
Months passed by slowly as Parth went back to being his angry lonesome self. The school was reopening soon and Parth's Mother started to pack his things as he kept thinking how different it was going to be without his Vibha Maam. But all was not lost, as he would now have the opportunity to go to her house and see her. There was a small ray of hope and he was clinging on to it. It was the only reason he was going back to school. But as fate would have it, before leaving his Mother made him promise her that he wouldn't go to talk to her or see her while he was at Warrior High. He had never said no to his Mother and he wasn't going to change now. He nodded to accept her demand even thought it felt like a part of him died with his promise.
Parth was back at Warrior High, and though he had Utkarsh watching out for him, things just weren't the same. Utkarsh knew very well what he was going through and he tried to cheer him up many a times. But nothing seemed to work on Parth. Each time he would go in a deeper shell, refusing to talk, refusing to do anything besides the regular school work. And then one day Utkarsh offered to talk to Vibha Maam, explaining that Parth's Mother barred him from calling, not anyone else. Parth happily accepted this plan and waited anxiously as Utkarsh called. However, Dadi refused to give any information on Vibha, saying that she preferred to keep it that way. This upset Parth all the more and he punched the wall in rage. Utkarsh told him to calm down, and that he would sneak out to meet Vibha Maam and ask her in person. Parth didn't want Utkarsh to get in trouble so he didn't support this idea of his.

Months passed by, as Parth started getting used to not seeing Vibha everyday. He still missed her tremendously, and wished she was still teaching in the school. But sadly that wasn't the case. The year was coming to an end and it was soon going to be time to go home once again. And this time, he asked Utkarsh to bank on the favour he needed, to go to Vibha Maam's house. Utkarsh readily agreed, and on the last day, before they all headed home, Utkarsh and Parth went to Vibha's house. Parth waited down the road, while Utkarsh went on the ring the doorbell. Dadi was surprised to see Utkarsh and invited him in. Utkarsh said that he just wanted to see Vibha Maam and Dadi told him that she'd moved to Mumbai to work.
When Utkarsh gave this news to Parth, he was torn, but he was happy that he could see her in Mumbai, when he went back home. But he had promised his Mother that he wouldn't see her, but it was holiday time, so technically he was no longer at Warrior High. So surely it would be okay if he saw her? He was excited, there was a new ray of hope in his life, a new found enthusiasm in both his mind and heart. He was going to make sure he saw Vibha in Mumbai. But how? It was a big city with a fast paced environment, always buzzing with people. How would he find her? He spent his entire holidays looking for her, as he could not get an answer out of Dadi, but never did manage to find her. The school started again and a year passed by, just like that. He was the quiet senior, with a stern face and his head always buried in books. The one thing that had connected him with, the one thing they both shared the passion for. Utkarsh was always there for him, but there was only so much he could do when all of Parth's words started and ended with his Vibha Maam.
It was the last day ever at school, the famous Warrior High. Parth graduated top of his class, and his Mother was rather pleased. He only had one wish in his mind, to see Vibha, however, as before, his Mother did not approve. But this time he did not listen.
Parth: Ab bahut ho gaya Maa, aapne jo kaha maine kiya, maine kabhi bhi Vibha Maam se milne ki koshish nahi kari, ha main janna chahta tha ki woh kaisi hai, theek to hai, lekin maine aapki di hui promise nahi todi. Ab toh school khatam ho gayi hai na Mom, ab aap mujhe nahi rokengi. Aapko meri kasam.
And before his Mother could say anything, he left. He followed his heart and headed to Vibha's home. His happiness quickly turned into sadness as Dadi told him that Vibha had gone back to Oxford, and that she would have wanted him to finish his studies and become a responsible young man. She also told him that she didn't want to speak to anyone, so she couldn't give him her number. Parth thought all this was getting way too mysterious, and he wanted to find out what really happened to her, that she left the country without telling him. He wanted to find some way of talking to her, but it seemed like there were none. It wasn't a bollywood movie where he could just fly to the United Kingdom and find her. And soon it was time for him to join Stanford, as he'd received scholarship to pursue undergraduate studies there whilst he was in Warrior High. He had already promised his Mom that he would go there.
A sad Parth came back home with his Mother, back to Mumbai, back to where he'd spent his life as a loner. But he wasn't going to be there for long. He would be leaving the country soon with a heavy heart and an empty soul. And there was nothing to stop him anymore. The day soon arrived and he had his bags packed. He stared at his mirror for one last time, with a heavy heart. He looked at the man in the mirror, with a deep gaze, sad eyes, and wondered how things came to be as they were. There was a certain sombre glumness about his thoughts, his posture and his heart, that reflected on his mirror image. He looked down at the floor, realizing it was time to leave, no matter what his heart told him. But he looked up again as he felt a tap on his shoulder. He was about to turn around as he knew it was his Mother but the reflection in the mirror stunned him. It was Vibha! He couldn't believe his eyes. He closed them instantly, shuffled his head for a couple of seconds and opened them again to see Vibha still standing behind him. He turned around to look at her. He wanted to get lost in her eyes and slowly lifted his hand to touch her face. But just as he was about to touch her cheeks, he stopped. He remembered all the moments he had spent in misery without her. And he looked down with a sad face. She lifted his face, holding it with both her hands.
Vibha: Parth, I'm sorry...
Parth closed his eyes and kept looking down, and Vibha tried to lift his face again.
Vibha: Parth, meri taraf dekho please... Main janti hu tum mujhe bahut naraz ho, aur shayad tum mujhe kabhi maaf nahi karoge... Lekin...
Parth looked at her and she stopped...
Parth: Lekin kya? Aapko pata hai aapne mujhe kitna hurt kiya hai? Aapne ek baar bhi nahi socha ki main kaise rahunga aapke bina? Aur apne toh promise kiya tha na...
Vibha: Parth main jaanti hu... ki tumhare bahut se sawal hai... aur main bhi jawab dena chahti hu...
Parth: Its too late now... Main ja raha hu...
Vibha: Nahi Parth, aisa mat kaho...
Parth: Aapne bahut der kar di aane main...
Parth held her hands and gently put them down as he had to leave soon, but she wrapped her arms around his neck again and leaned in closer.
Vibha: I love you Parth!
A tear rolled down her cheek and he couldn't stop himself but hug her. He wrapped his strong arms around her waist and she clinged on to him like never before.

Saanson Ko Saanson Mein Dhalne Do Zara
Dheemi Si Dhadkan Ko Badne Do Zara
Lamhon Ki Guzarish Hai Ye, Paas Aa Jayein
Hum, Hum Tum, Tum,Hum Tum
Aankhon Mein Humko Utarne Do Zara
Baanhon Mein Humko Pighalne Do Zara
Lamhon Ki Guzarish Hai...Hum Tum
He looked at her and just as a tear rolled down her cheeks, onto her lips and he was just about to touch her soft pink lips, but he felt a tap on his shoulder again. He opened his eyes and he saw himself standing in front of the very mirror, and was shocked again, but this time it was his Mother, and not Vibha. He turned around and realized that Vibha had been his sweet painful dream. He looked angry as he walked away with his bag. They soon reached the airport, and with a heavy heart, his Mother bid him goodbye.
Years passed and Parth was a grown young man. Not that he'd ever been a school boy even when he was at Warrior High. But the university experience had made him wise beyond his years. He retained his age old habit of silence and a serious appearance, with a rare smile, that only came to his face maybe a handful times during the year. Few girls had shown an interest in him, but he had always held on to the promise he had made to Vibha all those years ago. He still thought of her and wanted to see her, have a future with her. And now was finally the day. He collected his degree, topping his year in engineering, and was all set to return to India, back to his home. He knew his Mother would be waiting, but he had hoped that after all this time, someone else would be waiting for him too.
And before he knew it, he was back, and before he start up his own work, he wanted to see Vibha. He sat down with his Mother and explained to her that he wouldn't be able to build a life with anyone else but her. And his happiness was only in being with her, but also that he wouldn't do it if it didn't make his Mom happy. So ultimately, his happiness would lie in his Mother's hands. His Mother realized that if he felt the same about her after all these years, then perhaps she was wrong. Perhaps she needed to give him a chance to live life in his own terms. She agreed and Parth decided to pack his bags once again, but this time to move to Delhi as that's where he was going to set up his business. His Mother had agreed to move with him, once he had figured everything out.
And before he knew it, he was in Delhi, in a hotel, waiting anxiously to resolve his feelings for Vibha. He made up his mind to see Vibha the next day and he left in the early hours of the morning by train to Dehradun. He remembered the first time he lay his hands on her, in a rage. It was on the very same train journey as this one, buy many years ago. He slowly slipped his hands into his pocket and took out a small box, he looked at it and wondered. Had it been only 6 years? It felt like many more, as each moment that passed in his life without her, it seemed like a very long, painful time. And as he reached Dehradun, his eyes widened as he was looking for her everywhere. He hired a bike and rode through the roads, thinking what he would say to her. Would she have missed him equally? And if so, why didn't she try to contact him in all these years?
He reached Vibha's home and was surprised to see it all decorated with flowers and lights. At first he was hesitant as he thought he may have come to the wrong house, or perhaps someone else had moved in there. It had been some time since he last saw them there. But he decided to ring the doorbell and waited anxiously, staring at the doormat that cheerfully said welcome. Was he really welcome in her house? It certainly hadn't felt that way the last time he visited and asked Dadi about Vibha. As his thoughts were unravelling in his head, a chirpy voice asked him why he looked dazed. He looked at the Aunty, who was all dressed up and asked if he had gotten the wrong house.
Parth: Kya main Vibha se...
Aunty: Oh achcha, Vibha, ha beta andar aao...
Parth peeped in and saw there were too many people inside, so he hesitated a little.
Parth: Nahi, aap unhe bula dengi...
Aunty: Achcha theek hai, main bulati hu...
The door was starting to close, but he could hear her shout "Vibha beta, koi milne aaya hai tujhe". He was starting to get nervous as he knew he would be seeing her any second. The door opened and he slowly looked up. He saw bright pink churidar and the pristine white kameez with bejewelled pink dupatta, and as he looked slowly at the face of the person who had just opened the door, he was pleasantly surprised. He looked at her with wide eyes, unable to say anything. It was Vibha and she was looking as beautiful as ever, with minimal makeup, but a bright pink bindi on her forehead and chunky blingy earrings. She looked the same as she did 6 years ago, but there was a certain maturity about the way she opened the door and looked at him. But she hadn't expected to see Parth, he reaction was all the more surprising as she slowly lift her hand to touch his face. And as she felt her hand touch his cheek, he held her hand with a deep sigh. He couldn't believe he was holding her. And as soon as he held her hand, she snapped out of her daze.
Vibha: Parth?
Parth stood there, admiring her, and still holding on to her hand. She quickly closed the door behind her and looked back at him.
Vibha: Parth... (tears started to fill her eyes and she slowly touched his hand and gently put it down)
He noticed the water in her eyes and gently nodded to tell her to not cry.
Vibha: Kaise ho Parth?
It was all she could say.
Parth: Yeh flowers... lights...
Vibha got a little nervous as she looked at her house, and fumbled.
Vibha: Ha... Yaha nahi, chalo kahi chalte hain!
Vibha didn't want to take him inside the house. There were way too many people inside. And she didn't want to send Parth away without an explanation, not on this day, which was supposed to be holy for her. So she decided to go with him, to at least make an effort to explain to him her side of the story. He sat on the bike as he still struggled to say anything to her, and she sat behind him. As he started riding away, she slowly wrapped her arms around him and hugged him, resting her head on his back. It made her feel alive. She was truly happy, but as she smiled, and realized she was actually holding on to Parth, she let go and sat upright on her own. Parth's small smile faded as she so suddenly let go of him. He didn't know where he was going but he kept riding and she didn't say anything otherwise to stop him either. They soon reached a small bridge with a tiny waterfall and green trees, and Parth pulled his bike to the side. He got off and helped Vibha off the bike, she held his hand and he just didn't want to let go. She looked at him and then slowly let go of his hand, and then she looked away.
She held on to the bridge and looked at the water flowing away and gathered courage to speak something.
Vibha: Parth, tum yaha? Tum kab aaye?
Parth: Itne saal ho gaye, aur aap yeh jaana chahte ho?
Vibha: Parth...
Parth: Aapko pata hai maine aapko kitna miss kiya? Maine kitni baar aapse milne ki koshish bhi kari?
Vibha: Yeh sab baatein mat karo...
This angered Parth and he held her by both her shoulders and made her turn around so that he could face her when she was talking to him. She looked down as she didn't want to see his sad face and feel his broken heart.
Vibha: Parth...
Parth: Kyu na karu? Aap woh saari promises bhul gayi... Lagta aapne mujhe ek pal bhi yaad nahi kiya...
How could she tell him that she missed him just as much, but that she did what she needed to, to bring his family peace. To help him build a future for himself and his Mother. She remained quiet.
Parth: Aap khamosh kyun hai? Boliye na... Aapko ek pal bhi meri yaad nahi aayi?
Vibha: Parth, tum samajh nahi rahe...
Parth: Toh aap mujhe samajhaiye na... Aisa kya hua ki aap mujhse naraz ho gayi... Are naraz toh mujhe hona chahiye tha, aapne meri kasam tod di, apne resgin kar liya, aur phir main apko dhoond hi nahi paya... Par aapko pata hai, maine kitni koshish kari, aapko bhulne ki, lekin mera pyar aapke liye kabhi kam nahi hua. Maine har pal aapke baare main socha! Aur aapoko dekh kar bhi aisa lag raha hai ki aapne bhi mujhe utna hi miss kiya... Toh phir...
Vibha: Parth... (she struggled in her mind to find the right words to explain to him that they weren't meant to be together, that fate had something else planned after all)
Parth: Vibha... (he brought out the box from his pocket) I love you... I still love you, a lot!
Tears came gushing down Vibha's eyes and she gathered courage to speak.
Vibha: Parth, meri shaadi ho rahi hai...
Parth was taken aback!
Parth: Shaadi?

The box slipped out of his hands as he started at her and then looked away. She was getting married to someone else? She had so easily moved on? Forgotten the promise she had made to him, that she would wait for him. She noticed the box as it fell on the floor and she bent down to pick it up, Parth walked back to the bike, the flowers, the lights, the people, it was all starting to make sense now, and angrily started his bike. Vibha rushed back to him and sat behind him as she held on to the box. She wanted to comfort him, but she was broken and empty inside as she'd just told him she was going to be someone else's. She knew deep inside her heart that her heart would always only beat for him and would always only have his memories, but she had to fulfil her role, pay back her dues. She tried to keep calm as tears rapidly rolled down her cheeks. Soon enough Parth pulled his bike outside her home and just as she reached out to him with the box in her hand, he rode his bike away. He needed to get away from her, away from everything that was controlling his mind and making him more angry.
Vibha meanwhile was visibly upset and Dadi was worried.
Dadi: Vibha, beta, kaha chali gayi thi tu?
Vibha: Dadi, woh main...
Dadi: Aur tere chehra yu utra hua kya hai? Kya hua?
Vibha: Dadi, baad main batati hu...
Dadi: Chal theek hai. Aaja, sabko mithai de dete hain, phir yeh log jaana chahte hai.
Vibha: Theek hai Dadi.
Vibha made tea for her in-laws and served them sweets and then they left, blessing Vibha. Vibha went to her room and started crying as she remembered hurting Parth, yet again. She hadn't expected him to come back for her after so many years. She had thought he would move on, as he was young, and university experience would change him. But it hadn't. And seeing him again today just made her love him even more. But how could she stop her marriage from happening? Dadi came into her room and she tried to wipe her tears away.
Dadi: Vibha beta, tujhe aak kya ho gaya hai?
Vibha: Kuch nahi Dadi... Bas main chali jaungi.
Dadi: Bas.. Itni si baat... Arey beta, tu jab chahe ghar aa sakti hai na?
Vibha: Ha Dadi...
Dadi: To chal, ab ye aasu poch le, aur Simi keh rahi thi koi tujhse milne aya tha? Koi ladka?
Vibha: Koi nahi tha Dadi...
Dadi: Achcha? Tu mujhse kuch chupa rahi hai?
Vibha: Nahi Dadi, woh...
Dadi: Vibha, tu mujhe nahi batayegi beta... Teri yeh jo bhi pareshani hai, shayad main kuch madad kar pau?
Vibha hugged her Dadi and started crying.
Dadi: Nahi mere bachche... rote nahi...
Vibha: Dadi... Woh Parth...
Dadi: Kya? Parth...
Vibha: Ha Dadi, wo wapas aa gaya hai...
Dadi: Kahi usne kuch...
Vibha: Nahi Dadi, takleef to maine use di hai... Isiliye mujhe itni takleef ho rahi hai! Pata nahi woh kaisa hoga...
Dadi: Beta, chup ho ja... Pehle baith ja.
Dadi made her sit and gave her a glass of water.
Dadi: Dekh beta, maine tujhse pehle hi kaha tha, ki na hi woh tujhe bhula payega, or na hi tu use. Lekin tujhe bada vishwaas tha ki woh dheere dheere sab kuch bhul jayega.
Vibha: Dadi...
Dadi: Dekh beta, ab bhi der nahi hui hai, tu Raj se baat karke toh dekh.
Vibha: Nahi Dadi, Raj ne hamari itni help ki hai, woh nahi hota, to na hi main Oxford ja paati, na hi mujhe koi or job milti...
Dadi: Mujhe pata hai beta, lekin tune bhi to uski company ke liye kya kuch nahi kiya? Tune bhi kitni mehnat ki hai!
Vibha: Par Dadi...
Dadi: Dekh, mujhe jo theek laga, maine bol diya, ab aage tujhe decide karna hai. Tu aaram kar, aur thande dimaag se soch.
Vibha: Dadi, main theek hu, aap jao aur so jao.
Dadi: Pakka?
Vibha: Ha Dadi, good night.
Dadi left as she knew Vibha needed some time alone to think things over. Vibha got up, looked outside the window and cried.

She remembered the moment when he said "I love you" to her and she told him that she was getting married. She realized she had brought the box back, and walked towards the dressing table to open it. She found a ring, and with a deep sigh, she took it out of the box. She remembered all the moments as she held it in her finger. But she was now wearing Raj's ring, which she took out immediately. She slowly slid Parth's ring onto her finger and stared at it, while her eyes started to water again and all she could hear was his voice, saying "I love you, I still love you, a lot!". "I love you too Parth" she said as she looked down at her finger with the ring on it. And then she realized that she was being silly. She was going to marry Raj, who had helped her and her family. She had worked for him for a few months and then he had helped her get a scholarship to complete her studies at Oxford and then join back his company. He had looked after his family every now and then while she was away in Oxford. He was a good person, and he had slowly started to fall in love with her. She always had Parth in her heart, but she also knew that she could never have a future with him. And despite saying no to Raj several times, she finally had given in and agreed to getting married to him. He was a nice person after all.
Meanwhile an angry Parth rode to a deserted beach and stood in the rough waters as the waves crashed at his feet. He angrily looked at the horizon, at the setting sun, and saw it as a sign of his fading love. And there was nothing he could do about it, or was there? He didn't ask her a single question? After all these years, he still had hope in his heart, why? Why did he come all this way, to still build a life with her, and with just one sentence of hers, that she was marrying someone else, it all changed! He needed to hear more from her! She couldn't end things this way, not when he was already going crazy with the thought of her never being his. He wandered around, trying to think as much as he could to figure out a way to bring peace to his mind. Nothing helped. As the night was coming to a close, he sat on his bike once again and rode back to her house. It was dark and visibly quiet, the gleaming lights sparked his anger once again and he started tearing down the garlands of flowers around the pillars. Vibha was looking down her window and saw someone outside the house. She came running down wiping her tears and saw Parth. She didn't want to shout.
Vibha: Parth... Yeh kya kar rahe ho...
Parth kept going and Vibha tried to stop him. He didn't listen and as he was tearing off another garland, Vibha slapped him. He looked at him with fury, and she held his hand and took him inside. He started throwing things around inside the house, when Vibha tried to hold his hand and he threw her in rage. She fell and banged her head against the table.
Vibha: Ouch...
Parth looked at her immediately, and his anger seemed to hit pause as he saw Vibha on the floor. He tried to go close to her, and she put her hand on her forehead and noticed blood on her fingers.
Parth: I'm... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to...
Vibha: It's okay...
Parth: No... It's not okay... Kuch bhi theek nahi hai...
He helped her get up, and made her sit on the sofa. Parth moved her hair from her face and looked at the cut on her forehead.
Parth: I'm sorry... I didn't mean to...
Vibha: Parth... Tum kyu kar rahe ho yeh sab...
Parth: Main aapko chot nahi pahuchana chahta tha...
Vibha: Parth, I'm sorry, main tumhe bahut takleef di hai...
Parth got up as Vibha said this. So she knew she had hurt him. All of a sudden what he'd endured over the past years seemed far greater than the wound he had unintentionally inflicted upon her. As he moved away, Dadi came down, as she'd been watching, and as she put the medicine and tape on the table, a surprised Parth turned out.
Parth: Dadi...
Parth looked down at the antiseptic solution and looked up at Dadi with a guilty face.
Parth: Main kar deta hu Dadi.
Dadi went away upstairs, and Parth took a cotton swab with the antiseptic close to Vibha's face. He paused for a while...
Song played in background:
Paas aaye..
Dooriyaan phir bhi kam naa hui
Ek adhuri si hamari kahani rahi
Aasmaan ko zameen, ye zaroori nahi
Jaa mile.. jaa mile..
Ishq saccha wahi
Jisko milti nahi manzilein.. manzilein..
Rang thhe, noor tha
Jab kareeb tu tha
Ek jannat sa tha, yeh jahaan
Waqt ki ret pe kuch mere naam sa
Likh ke chhod gaya tu kahaan
Hamari adhuri kahani..
Hamari adhuri kahani..
There were tears in Vibha's eyes and as she wiped them away, Parth looked at her and gently put the swab on her cut. She winced in pain and he held her face and blew on it. She remembered the time in school when he held her face close when dust entered her eyes. More tears rolled down her cheeks but as he tried to wipe them, she held his hand.
Vibha: Parth, tum chale jao. Main tumhe takleef ke alawa aur kuch nahi de sakti.
He put down his hands, took the tape and dressed her wound. And then wondered why she said what she said. He tried to say something, but she put her hand on his mouth.
Song continued to play in background:
Khushbuon se teri yunhi takra gaye
Chalte chalte dekho na hum kahaan aa gaye
Tu dikhe kyon nahin
Chaand suraj sabhi hai yahaan
Intezar tera sadiyon se kar raha
Pyaasi baithi hai kab se yahaan
Humari adhoori kahaani
Humari adhoori kahaani..
She realized she was holding him back so she let go of her hand. And he looked around the mess he had caused. But before leaving, he thought of apologizing to Dadi one last time. He headed upstairs and Dadi was sitting on her rocking chair. He kneeled down in front of her with tears in his eyes.
Parth: Dadi, mujhe pata hai aap mujhse naraz ho... Lekin main...
Dadi: Nahi Parth beta... Main tujhse naraz nahi hu! Arey, teri wajah se meri Vibha itni khush thi... Lekin uski khushiyon par kisiki nazar lag gayi!
Parth: Yeh aap kya keh rahe ho Dadi?
Dadi: Ha Parth, pehle teri Maa ne use tujhse milne se mana kar diya, kasam de di, aur phir Vibha Oxford chali gayi, aur ab, jab woh tere saath ho sakti hai, to woh Raj se shaadi karne ja rahi hai.
Dadi explained to him how she had looked for jobs and then started working for Raj and then how he had supported their family.
Dadi: Theek hai, usne bahut kuch kiya hai, lekin hamari Vibha ne bhi toh uska business sambhala hai, lekin pata nahi kyun...
Parth thought in his head that Vibha was following her promise to his Mother? He rushed down to find Vibha cleaning up the mess he'd created. He held her with both his arms and lifted her up.
Parth: Apne Maa se vada kiya tha ki aap mujhse nahi milogi?
Vibha: Parth...
Parth: Aapko Maa ka promise yaad raha, aur mera? Mujhe diya hua vaada bhul gayi aap?
Vibha: Parth, tum samajh nahi...
Parth: Main sab samajhta hu! Apko kya lagta, aap yeh sab karke khush reh paaoge? Kya main khush reh paunga?
Vibha: Parth, ab bahut der ho chuki hai! Do din main meri shaadi hai!
Parth: Toh rok dijiye shaadi, ab to Maa ne bhi haa kar di hai...
Vibha: Parth, main Raj ke saath aisa nahi kar sakti... aur dheere dheere...
Parth: Dheere dheere kya? Apko lagta hai main dheere dheere sab bhul jaunga... Main aapko kabhi nahi bhula paunga!
Vibha looked at him as he said this, painfully. She thought that she would never forget him either. But they had to pretend to forget one another in order to move on.
Parth looked away in anger but turned around as he felt her palm on his shoulder. But it wasn't her, it was Dadi.
Dadi: Parth beta, bahut der ho gayi hai. Tum yahi par tehre ho?
Parth: Nahi Dadi... woh...
Dadi: To theek hai... Vibha, ja, Parth go guest room dikha de. Parth beta, tum abhi so jao, kal savere baat kar lena. Iske Papa bhi so rahe hain... phir itni raat gaye, yu jhagadna theek nahi. Tum dono pani pi lo, aur so jao.
Parth: Sorry Dadi.
Vibha took Parth to the guest room and brought him a glass of water. He held the glass, but instead of drinking the water, his anger caused his grip to tighten on it, and the glass cracked and crumbled. He looked at the pieces as they fell on the floor and some dug into his palm. Vibha was about to leave the door and close it behind her, but she heard the glass pieces hit the floor and looked around. She rushed to Parth and looked at his bleeding hand.
Vibha: Parth... yeh kya kiya...
Parth stood there like a zombie as he knew there was nothing left to do. He had tried to tell her to stop the wedding, but she had refused. What else could he do in one night that would make her change her mind? She rushed to get medication and then came back and closed the door as she entered the guest room. She went close to him and asked him to sit down. But he didn't listen.
Vibha: Parth, baith jao.
He just stood there and looked out of the window into the silent night. He stared at the moon and cursed the stars for deciding their fate.
Vibha: Parth... achcha theek hai, haath lao...
But he didn't listen. She tried to hold his hand, to take out the glass pieces, but he shrugged her hand off him. She tried again, but he shook her off one more time. Tears started to roll down her cheeks as few drops of blood started to drip onto the floor.
Vibha: Parth... please...
She started crying and she thought he would listen, so she tried to hold his hand again, but he held her with fury and as she looked into his eyes, all she felt was love for him. She hugged him immediately, and wrapped her arms tightly around him. It felt like a million years had passed since she had been in his arms. And those million years worth of pain seemed to fade away a billion times as she continued to feel the warmth of his body against hers. He wanted to shrug her off, as he was still hurting, from her words, from her thoughts, from her decision, but he loved her too. And no other truth could change this very simple fact. He slowly wrapped his arms around her. She began to weep but he held her close, he stroked her hair with his hand and once she stopped crying, he looked at her. She looked into his eyes, but before she could get carried away again, she cleared her throat and made him sit. She carefully took out the glass pieces from his hand and bandaged it around nicely. Parth wipes her tears as she looked at him.
Vibha: Parth, yeh aur mushkil mat karo.
Parth: Mushkil aap ise bana rahe ho... Mujhe pata hai aap mujhse ab bhi pyar karti ho...
Vibha: Parth, ab in sabse koi fark nahi padta.
Parth: Apko nahi padta hoga, lekin mujhe padta hai.
Vibha: Parth, tum kyu zid kar rahe ho...
Parth: Aur aap jo zid kar rahi hai...
Vibha: Parth, tum mujhe khush dekhna chahte ho na...
Parth: Hamesha...
Vibha: Toh phir meri khushi tumse door jaane main hi hai!
Parth felt his heart shattering into pieces. Vibha tried to walk away but he held her hand.
Parth: Do you really mean that?
Vibha cleared her throat, wiped her tears, and turned around to face Parth with a brave face.
Vibha: Yes Parth, I mean it. Kal savere hote hi, tum chale jana, Dadi ko main samjha lungi.
Parth let her hand go, but before she could walk away, he left the room and left her house. She didn't stop him. She looked on from the window as his shadow disappeared into the misty darkness and she fell onto the floor, crying away. She spent the entire night crying, thinking of Parth while Parth spent his night wandering around at the train station. And as the morning struck, he took the first train back to Delhi, back to his new home.
Four days after, the weekend had just passed and as Parth was coming back to his newly built home from work. He opened the door and entered, surprised to find candles all over the floor. His instant reaction was why his Mother would do something like this? What did it mean? He went towards the temporary table, that was beautifully covered with a table cloth and candles and nice cutlery. And soon as he turned around to go into the kitchen, he was stunned. He couldn't help but stare at the pretty woman that was standing right in front of him. Clad in a floral skirt and a simple white top, stood vihba, with wavy hair and light make up, and a bright smile on her face, holding two plates of food on her hand.
Vibha: Dinner?
Parth: Vibha?
That was all he could say. The smile on Vibha's face beamed more as she put down the plates on the table and held his hands with hers and slowly put down his bag and took him to sit on the table. But before she could tell him to sit down, Parth held her waist and pulled her close to him. Her smile faded as she started to feel nervous, but deep down she was loving being so close, and feeling his breath on her. He stroked her hair and pushed it behind her ear, as he had done in the past, and stared at her changed avatar, and then pushed her away. He remembered how she'd asked him to go and never come back. Then what was all this?
Parth: What are you doing here?
Vibha walked around him to face him and looked up at him.
Vibha: Naraaz ho?
Parth looked away as his anger was rushing back to his mind and taking over his heart.
Vibha: Tumhe baat nahi karni hai, mat karo, lekin khana to kha lo! Maine banaya hai...
Parth looked back at the table surprised.
Parth: Par aapki shaadi...
Vibha: Kaun si shaadi?
Vibha was trying to joke to make him laugh, but he was in no mood for it.
Parth: Do you think this is a joke? Apka jab man chaha aapne mujhe jaane ke liye keh diya aur aapka jab man kara aap yaha aa gayi? Aur waise aap yaha aayi kaise?
Vibha got serious. She knew he would have lots of questions for her. She held his hands and took him to the table and made him sit, even though he resisted, but she insisted. She then kneeled down on the floor and put her arms on his lap and held his hands. He looked down at her as she spoke.
Khair, mujhe pata hai ki maine tumhe bahut hurt kiya hai, aur tum iski mujhe jo saza dena chahte ho, de sakte ho. Main puri zindagi us har ek galti ko sudharne main laga dungi. Aur tumne theek kaha tha, main ab bhi tumse bahut pyar karti hu, I love you Parth! Aur maine apna diya hua vada kabhi nahi toda, mere dil main hamesha sirf tum hi the, aur tum hi rahoge. Kitni baar maine chaha ki tumhe saari sachchai bata du, lekin kismat ne kabhi saath hi nahi diya. Lekin aaj, main tumse sirf ek hi baat kehna chahti hu, aur woh yeh hai ki main sirf aur sirf tum hi se pyaar karti hu, aur hamesha karti rahungi.
She then took out the box from her pocket and gave it to Parth.
Vibha: Parth, will you marry me?
A tear dropped from Parth's eye, and Vibha immediately held his face and started crying. He opened the box and saw the ring he had brought for her. He heaved in a deep sigh, and then wiped her tears away. He looked at her face as he held it and then hugged her in a passionate embrace. He couldn't believe everything she had just said. But he just didn't want to let her go. And as he moved his arms around her back as he continued to hug her, she tightened her grip around his neck and breathed in heavily to control her tears.
Song played in background:
Tere liye ham hai jiye honto ko siye
Tere liye ham hai jiye har aansu piye
Dil me magar jalte rahe chahat ke diye
Tere liye tere liye
Tere liye ham hai jiye har aansu piye
Tere liye ham hai jiye honto ko siye
Dil me magar jalte rahe chahat ke diye
Tere liye tere liye
And as they slowly let go of one another, Parth held her face once again. He just wanted to make sure he wasn't dreaming and that she was there with him for real. She leaned in close, as she just wanted to be as close to him as never before. And as Parth looked at her with wide eyes, she closed her eyes and his lips gently touched hers. She kissed him back and after a short, sweet passionate kiss, Parth stroked her cheeks with his hands while she blushed and Parth gently kissed her forehead. She hugged him once again and Parth smiled as he hugged her back.
They both then had dinner and she told him how she missed him when she was studying at oxford and he said he tried to forget her when he was at Stanford, but he never could.
And just as they finished the meal, Vibha got up and but then looked back at Parth.
Vibha: Toh waha tumhe bahut sari hot ladkiyan mili hongi?
Parth noticed a tone of jealousy in her voice, and he got up and tried to look away and with a smile on his face spoke cheekily.
Parth: Ladkiyan toh bahut thi...
Vibha lifted the plates and started to walk away when Parth held her by the waist and pulled her towards him.
Parth: Lekin aapke jitni hot, koi bhi nahi!
Vibha turned around and smiled at him. And then tiptoed to kiss him on his cheek. Parth was pleasantly surprised. But before she could turn around and walk away, she looked up at him.
Vibha: Ab se aap nahi, tum!
Parth smiled as she left with the plates to bring dessert. She came with two plates, to find Parth bending on his knee with the box in his hands.
Vibha: Parth...
Parth: Vibha... Will you marry me?
Vibha smiled and got emotional with tears in her eyes and gave Parth her hand.
Vibha: Ha Parth, main sirf aur sirf tum hi se pyar karti hu, and yes, I will marry you!
Parth slid the ring on her fingers and then before he could get up, Vibha kneeled down and hugged him tight. Parth got up and lifted her in his arms and swirled her around as she held to his head and neck and then she gently kissed him.
They then had dessert and she told him how his mother had helped him find his house and get the keys.
Parth: Achcha, toh Mom bhi involved thi is plan main?
Vibha: Sirf Aunty hi nahi, Dadi bhi!
Parth: Kya? Dadi?
Vibha: Ha, aur kal woh sab yaha aa rahe hai, rishta pakka karne!
Vibha felt shy as she was talking about her own wedding with Parth, with Parth! She hurriedly tried to get up but Parth held her and put both her arms around his waist.
Vibha: Parth, chodo...
Parth: Achcha, toh Maam ko ab sharam aa rahi hai?
Vibha: Parth, tum bhi na...
Parth: Tum kya?
Saawali si raat ho, khamoshi ka saath ho
hmm Saawali si raat ho, khamoshi ka saath ho
Bin kahe bin sune, baat ho teri meri
Neend jab ho laapata, udasiyaan zara hata
Khwabon ki razaai mein, raat ho teri meri
Vibha felt shy and hugged him. Parth smiled and hugged her back. They both felt the good days were just about to start and they were going to get married! And soon they would be building their own dream home in this house together!
