ALLAHABAD: A complaint case has been registered against film star Salman Khan and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi for making alleged objectionable statement against the death penalty given to 1993 serial bomb blasts convict Yakub Memon. The complaint case has been registered under section 124A (sedition) and others of Indian Penal Code.
The complaint filed by an advocate Sushil Kumr Mishra will continued to be heard on July 28.
The petitioner alleged that the statements of Salman and Yakub are anti-national, as they have come out in support of a person who has been confirmed death penalty by the apex court.
