Mugdha, who developed the fear of water seven years ago, would always stay away from pools. Even during this sequence, she was given the option of shooting with a body double, but she decided to take the plunge.
"When I was doing Prithviraj Chauhan seven years ago, there was this scene where my character was supposed to drown and my co-star was supposed to save me. We were shooting in Baroda at 4am and I was in heavy jewellery and lehenga. My lehenga got stuck in something and I almost drowned. My production people thought it was just acting and they were very happy that I gave such a perfect shot. It was only after my co-star saved me that everyone realized that the reel situation had turned real," she recalled, adding, "After that, I was really scared of entering a pool and even when we would go on holidays, I would just stand at the bank and not enter water. But when I was told about this scene, I decided to go for it and since my co-star (Ravish Desai) knows how to swim, I was assured that nothing would go wrong. I was scared initially, but after the shoot started I felt comfortable and was in water for six hours! Now, I am even planning to join swimming classes."
