*Later that evening*
Khushi held Arnav's hand the moment they sat in the taxi.
Arnav looked out of the window,fully aware of the fact that Khushi's eyes were trained on him.
Khushi(thinks): Rehne de,Khushi. Aisaa nahi lagtaa ki Arnavji apne man ki baat tujhse kehnewale hain. Kaash tu bhi utni hi sahajtaa se(easily) unka man padh paati jaise woh tera man padh lete hain! Toh tujhe unke kuch kehne ka intezaar nahi karnaa padtaa..
She sighs as she turns away from him.
Arnav turned to her for a few moments before returning his gaze to the window.
Arnav(thinks): Flight me Khushi kitni excited thi! Par ab.. meri wajah se woh.. bilkul chupchaap aur dukhi ho gayi hai.
As he turned towards her again,his heart whispered: Kya isiliye Khushi ko Lucknow lekar aaye ho,taaki woh dukhi ho jaaye?
"Of course not!",his mind answered.
Arnav's heart: So talk to her,dammit! And do something jis se ki woh khush ho jaaye!
Arnav knew that only 1 thing could make her happy.
He squeezed her hand so as to gain her attention.
Khushi: Ji?
Arnav: Sorry! Main.. I just got.. nostalgic.
Khushi(nods): Hum samajh sakte hain. Aap.. theek toh hain na?
Arnav: Main toh theek hoon par mujhe nahi lagtaa ki tum theek ho.
He continued,without allowing her to say something.
Arnav: Agar tum theek hoti toh taxi me baithte hi driver se kehti,"Bhaiyya,zaraa radio chalaa dijiye na..!"
Arnav immediately felt better when Khushi smiled.
Arnav: Taxi me baithe huye kitni der ho gayi lekin phir bhi tumne kuch nahi kaha.
Khushi: woh.. hum kuch soch rahe the.
Arnav: Jaanta hoon ki tum kya soch rahi thi. But itna mat socho. (wraps an arm around her)I'm fine.
Khushi: Sach me?
Arnav(nods): Haan,sach me. Airport par utarne k baad jaisaa.. feel kar raha tha ab uss se better feel kar raha hoon.
Khushi(sighs): Devi Maiyya ka shukar hai!
Khushi leans closer to him & places her head on his shoulder.
Arnav: Ab toh bol do..
Khushi: Pehle aap boliye..
Arnav: Main kya bolu?
Khushi: Woh hi jo tab bolte hain jab hum kisi sheher me pahuchte hain ya.. kahin baahar se Dilli waapis aate hain.
Arnav(realizes): Oh,I get it! Main woh zaroor kahunga lekin abhi nahi. Pehle tum kaho!
Khushi shifts slightly away from Arnav before speaking to the driver.
Khushi(smiles): Bhaiyya zaraa.. (turns to Arnav & smiles wider) radio chalaa dijiye.
The driver nods while switching on the car stereo.
Arnav listens to the song for some moments before asking the driver to flip the radio station.
Khushi: Kyun?
Arnav: Yeh Salman Khan ka gana thode hi na tha?
Khushi: Haan,par yeh achchha gana hai! Bhaiyya,phir se woh hi wala station lagaa dijiye.
The following lyrics were heard in a male voice as soon as the driver changed the station.

Milne ko hai koi kahin
Ab tujh se!

Another male voice went: Ho,ho,ho,ho,ho...

The first voice continued:

Arnav(pulling her closer): Nice song!
Khushi nods with a smile as the second stanza starts.

Dekhun jidhar bhi

Rang pighalte hain
Nigaahon me!

Khushi couldnt help but relate the description with Lucknow.

First voice: Thandi hawaa hai,

Baadal yeh kaisaa chhaaya?
Dil yeh kahaan le aaya?
Sapnaa yeh kya dikhlaaya
Hai mujhko?

Khushi lifted her head to gaze at Arnav as the second voice sang..

Apne man ki!
Har pal ki seepi se
Moti hi tu chune,
Jo tu sadaa sune
Apne man ki!

Arnav spoke while the first stanza was repeated.
Arnav: I like the lyrics as well!
Khushi: Humein bhi achchhe lagte hain! Iss film k har gaane k bol aur dhun,dono hi bahut achchhe hain!
She was about to say something else but stopped as the next stanza started.

First voice: Man apne ko kuch aise
Halkaa paaye,
Jaise kandhon pe rak-khaa
Bojh hat jaaye!

Khushi smiles while placing her head back on Arnav's shoulder.

Jaise bhola sa bachpan
Phir se aaye,
Jaise barson me koi
Gangaa nahaaye!

The second voice repeated the last line.

First voice: Dhul sa gaya hai yeh man,
Khul sa gaya har bandhan.
Jeevan ab lagtaa hai
Paavan mujhko!

Bas yeh hi jeet hai,

Driver: Ji madam.
Arnav: Hopefully Salman Khan ka gana hoga..

The song playing on the other station struck a chord with ArShi.

Male: Chup rehna chaaha tha,
Reh na sakein.
Phir bhi jo kehna tha,
Kehna na sakein!

Arnav turns towards Khushi to find her gazing at him.

Female: Oh,oh,oh..
Tum bhi mujhse kuch bhi
Kaho na kaho,
Aise toh khoye huye
Na raho!

Male: Ab toh jo ho so ho,
Baat dil ki suno!
Female: Kehti hai dhadkanein,
Keh bhi do,keh bhi do!
Male: Tumhare hain hum,
Hai tumhari kasam!

Arnav asked the driver to switch off the radio at this point.
Arnav: Main.. I mean.. iss airport se.. meri bahut saari yaadein judi huyi hain.
Khushi: Hum jaante hain.
Arnav: Kuch achchhi toh.. kuch buri. Main bas..
Khushi: Aap puraani baaton ko yaad kar k bhaavuk(emotional) ho gaye,jo ki swabhaavik hai. Par aapne humse iss baare me kuch kaha kyun nahi?
Arnav: Tum itni excited thi toh.. mujhe lagaa ki.. yeh sab sunkar tumhara mood off ho jaayega. But.. I was wrong. Tumhara mood toh waise bhi off ho hi gaya.
Khushi: Woh toh isiliye kyunki hum.. aapki koi madad nahi kar paa rahe the. Aapk man me kya chal raha tha,kya nahi, kuch.. samajh nahi paa rahe the.
Arnav: Mujhe apne man ki baat tumhare saath share karni chahiye thi.. I'm sorry!
Khushi: Baar,baar sorry mat kahiye! Dekhiye,aanewale 2 dinon me aapk man me.. beetey huye kal ko lekar kayeen saare khayaal aayenge. kuch meethi toh kuch kadvi yaadein bhi.. taazaa ho jaayengi. Aise me aapko koi bhi baat pareshaan karti ho toh aap use humaare saath baantiyega. (hand on his shoulder)Aur kuch nahi toh.. aapka man hi halka ho jaayega.
Arnav nods while wrapping his arms around her.
*Few minutes later*
The taxi turned towards the hotel.

Khushi(whispers): Ab toh keh dijiye..
Arnav shook his head as he led her inside the lobby.

ArShi were politely welcomed by one of the staff members of the hotel who exchanged a few words with Arnav.
Arnav: Chalein?
Khushi nods as an attendant guides them towards the lift.
Khushi mutely observed the grandeur of the place as they proceeded towards the executive suite.

Khushi turns towards him within the circle of his arms.
Khushi(smiles): Shukriya! Aur..(kisses his cheek) aapko bhi welcome to Lucknow!
Arnav(smiles): Thank you! Tumne bataaya nahi ki tumhe yeh hotel kaisaa lagaa?
Khushi: Kyunki hum pehle aapk bolne ka intezaar kar rahe the!
Arnav: Lucknow aate hi pehle aap,pehle aap shuru kar diya tumne!
Khushi: Woh toh hum hamesha se hi kehte rehte hain. Khair, hotel bahut hi sundar hai! Isska naam bhi kitna anokha hai na- Clarks avadh! Aur sabse achchhi baat toh yeh hai ki Hazratganj ka bazaar yahaan se bahut nazdeek hai!
Arnav: I know! It was 1 of the reasons for choosing this hotel,kyunki yeh centrally located hai..
Khushi: Haan,so toh hai. Achchha,suniye..
Arnav: Boliye?
Khushi: Hum keh rahe the ki.. aaj raat hum kamre me hi khaana kha lenge. Woh.. di,amma sablogon ne jo nashta diya hai woh hi humlogon k liye bahut hoga toh..
Arnav: Okay,fine. In case kuch kam padaa toh we can always something,for example dessert!
Khushi: Nahi,uss ki zaroorat nahi padegi kyunki amma ne sugarfree suji k laddoo bheje hain.
Arnav: Okay,whatever you say! Tum jaakar change lo phir main tumhara bandage change kar deta hoon.
Khushi(interrupts): Pehle aap patti badal dijiye phir.. hum khaana kha lein? Humein bahut bhookh lagi hai!
Arnav: Haan but.. wont you like to freshen up first?
Arnav smiled when Khushi shook her head.
Arnav: Okay,fine.
While he was bandaging her wound,his gaze rested momentarily on her right hand.
Arnav: Tumhari mehndi..
Khushi: Kal din k ujaale(daylight) me itminaan se dekh lijiyega. Filhaal,zaraa jaldi kijiye naa! Humare pet me choohe daud rahe hain!
Arnav: Done!
Khushi(kisses his cheek): Shukriya!
Arnav(smiles): You're welcome! Ab tum khana nikaalo jab tak main change kar k aata hoon.
Khushi: Koi baat nahi!

Khushi proceeded to open her suitcase once they were through with the dinner.
She took out the Kashmiri nightgown before closing it.
Arnav(surprised): Tumhe.. pad change nahi karnaa hai?
Khushi: woh.. humne apne purse me 1,extra rakha tha toh.. hum woh hi le lete hain.
Arnav nodded as she got up from the floor.
Arnav: Suno..
Khushi(fetching her purse): Ji,boliye?
Arnav: Agar flow band nahi hua ya.. kam nahi hua toh bhi its fine,okay? Dont stress yourself out by worrying about it.
Khushi(nods): Ji..

Arnav's heart sank upon noticing Khushi's crestfallen face as she came out of the bathroom.
He was hoping that her periods would've got over. But alas,that was not to be.
Khushi: Bahaav jaari hai aur.. waisa hi hai jaisa ki aaj subha tha. Zaraa bhi kam nahi hua!
Arnav(walks up to her): Its okay. Kal tak.. maybe.. khatm ho jaayega. Or atleast,kam ho jaayega.
Khushi(exasperated sigh): Kaash aisaa hi ho! Waise.. bathroom bahut achchha hai!
Arnav: Ya,I know.. Anyways,ab humein so jaana chahiye.
Khushi(cups his cheek): Kitne dinon baad samay par sone ja rahe hain aap!
Arnav: Ya but I dont think mujhe neend aayegi..
Khushi: Humare paas ek nuskha hai jisse aazmaane se aapko achchhi neend aayegi!
Arnav: You mean ulti ginti?
Khushi: Nahi,uss se bhi zyaada achchha nuskha hai!
Arnav: Kya hai?
Khushi: Pehle aap bistar par aaraam se let jaiyye aur phir.. humare saath sambandh banaa lijiye!
Arnav(shocked): What?
Khushi(nods innocently): Haan! Usse thakaan ho jaayegi aur.. neend bhi achchhi aayegi!
Arnav: Par Khushi.. how can we..? Tumhara flow..?
Khushi: Woh toh dopeher ko hi ruk gaya tha!
Arnav(shell shocked): What the..!?
Khushi(non chalantly): Haan!
Arnav(holds her shoulders): Toh tumne mujhe pehle kyun nahi bataaya?
Khushi: Humne socha toh tha ki hum airport par aapko bataa denge..
Arnav(thru gritted teeth): Toh bataaya kyun nahi?
Khushi: Kyunki humein dar tha ki.. kahin aap flight me hi..
Arnav: What!?
Khushi hid her smile with great difficulty as Arnav smacked his forehead.
Khushi: Poora 1 haftaa ho gayaa hai humein sambandh banaaye huye! Toh.. humein lagaa ki.. yeh khabar sunte hi.. aapse raha nahi jaayega aur..
Arnav: Un.. belie.. vable!
Khushi(makes a puppy face): Sorry!
Arnav glares at her in response.
Khushi(arms around his neck): Achchha,suniye na.. aaj hum dono thake huye hain toh.. koi nayi position mat aazmaaiyyega.. please?
She got scared when Arnav brought his hands closer to her neck as if he was going to strangulate her.
Khushi: Aap.. yeh..
She was relieved when his hands cupped her face & his mouth claimed hers before she could complete the sentence.
ArShi undressed each other even before their bodies hit the bed.
Arnav gently lay on top of her while balancing his weight on his arms.
Khushi gasped as his member entered her.
Arnav: Tum theek ho?
Khushi nodded while arching her back.
Once he was completely inside her,she pulled his head closer.
He smiled as she kissed him thoroughly.
His hands explored the curves of her body while his member explored her core.
Moments after they he was spent,Arnav cupped her face & looked deep into her eyes.
Khushi: Kya.. hua?
Arnav: Tumhe sach me.. aisaa lagaa ki.. main.. flight me hi..

Arnav(tucks her hair behind her ear): Toh mujhe.. bataaya kyun nahi?
Khushi: Kyunki hum.. aapko surprise.. dena chahte the!
Arnav(smiles): It was an.. awesome surprise! (pecks her lips)Thank you!
Khushi(teases): Aapki shaqal.. dekhkar toh.. aisaa nahi lag.. raha tha! (giggles)Hawaaiyyan.. udi.. hui thi.. aapki!
Arnav: Bahut hasi.. aa rahi hai?
Khushi: Hasi toh.. tab bhi aa.. rahi thi. Woh toh.. hum hi jaante.. hain ki.. humne kaise.. khud ko.. hasne se roka!
Arnav: Ab mat rokna.. khud ko!
Khushi(confused): Ji?
Arnav(smirks): Ji haan!
He tickles her waist,much to her dismay.
Khushi: Arr... navv... jii!
Arnav: No Arnavji! Call me..
Khushi(interrupts): Honey?
Arnav(pecks her lips): No!
Khushi: Sweetheart?
Arnav(pecks her lips): Nope!
Khushi: Toh.. baby?
Arnav(pecks her lips): umm hmm!
Khushi: woh a.. dear? Ya phir.. love?
Arnav: Dono me se kuch bhi nahi!
Khushi(smiles): Lard governer!
She squirms when he tickles her yet again.
Khushi: Soorr.. rry!
She lets out a loud breath when he lets go of her waist.
Khushi(cups his face): Aap hi bataa dijiye ki aap kya sunna chahte hain?
Arnav: Darling!
Khushi: Darrling?
Arnav: Not darrrling! Its called dahling!
Khushi: Haan,woh hi! (in a singsong voice)Ding,ding dahling! Dahling,ding,ding!
Arnav(grim face): Maine tumhe nursery rhyme sunaane k liye nahi kaha hai! Whats this ding,ding!?
Khushi(laughs): Woh toh bas aise hi keh rahe the! Achchha,ab dhang se kehte hain.. (smiles)Dahling!
Arnav: Could be better..
Khushi(in a loving voice): Dahling!
Arnav: Thats better!
Khushi: Aur aap humein kya kahenge?
Arnav: Jo bhi tum sunna chaaho!
Khushi: Sach? *when he nods* Toh.. aap humein jaan kehkar bulaaiyye!
Arnav(frowns): Jaan?
Khushi: Haan,jaan! Angrezi shabd hona zaroori hai kya?
Arnav: Not at all! So.. jaan!
Khushi: Aise nahi! Zaraa.. filmy andaaz me kahiye na..
Arnav: Kaise?
Khushi(dramatic voice): Jaan,meri jaan ho tum!
Jaan se bhi pyaari ho tum!
Arnav: What the..!?
Khushi(laughs): Rehne dijiye! Humein pataa hai aap aise nahi keh paayenge! Aapko jaise theek lage,waise kahiye.
Arnav(kisses her red nose): Jaan!
Khushi's nose turns a shade deeper as she blushes.
Khushi: Shukriya! Ab aise hi kahiyega.
Arnav: I'll try.
Khushi: Ab hum..
Arnav(disentangling himself from her): Ya,sure.
He carried her to the bathroom in his arms.
*Half an hour later*
Arnav gently ran a hand through Khushi's hair.
Arnav(whispers): Khushi..
When he got no response,he took her namer softly.
Arnav: Kya tum.. so rahi ho?
Khushi slowly lifted her head off his chest & smiled.
Before he could say anything,Khushi surprised him yet again.
Khushi(sings): Resham si hain yeh
Hawaayein,sanam,
Aao, zaraa paas
Aayein,sanam!
Jaage-jaage armaan hain,
Jaage-jaage hum!
*blushes*
Ho jaane do ab faaslein
Kuch toh kam!

Arnav(smiles): Brilliant! Itni raat gaye tumhe yeh gana soojha kaise?
Khushi: Areh,yeh woh hi gana hai jo hum aaj taxi me sun rahe the!
Arnav(frowns): Really?
Khushi: hmm.
Arnav: Tum jagi huyi thi toh mujhe jagaaya kyun nahi?
Khushi: Kyunki humein lagaa ki aap so chuke hain. Aur waise bhi,pichhle kuch dinon me aapko dhang se sone ka mauka kahaan mil paya hai. Isiliye humne socha ki hum rehne dete hain. Thodi der baad humein apneaap neend aa hi jaayegi.
Arnav(leans closer): Jab tak neend nahi aa jaati tab tak kya karogi?
Khushi: Soch rahe the ki ek sau ikyaavan (151) baar Devi Maiyya k naam ka jaap kar lein..
Arnav(leans away): Fine! Woh hi karo.
He is about to withdraw his arms from around her waist when she stops him.
Khushi: Hum mazaak kar rahe the!
Arnav: Devi maiyya se related mazaak mat kiya karo mere saath! Tumhe toh pataa hai ki main tumhari Devi Maiyya ko..
Khushi(places her hand on his mouth): Kuch aisaa-waisaa mat kahiyega varna Devi Maiyya naraaz ho jaayengi! Parso humara janamdin hai aur hum ,aise samay par, Unhe hargiz naraaz nahi karnaa chahte hain!
Arnav kisses her palm before removing her hand from his mouth.
Arnav: Don' worry! Main kuch bhi aisaa-waisaa nahi kahunga. And besides,tumhari Devi Maiyya tumse naraaz kyun hongi? Unhe toh khush hona chahiye,kyunki tumhara birthday aa raha hai.
Khushi(agrees): Haan,Woh khush toh zaroor hongi! Aur humein aashirwaad bhi bhar-bhar k dengi,jisse humara janamdin bahut hi achchha jaayega!
Arnav: Right! Toh ab Unki baatein karnaa chhodo aur apni baat karo.
Khushi: Apni kya baat karein? (getting up)Hum jaante hain ki iss baar aap koi aisi position chunenge jis me humein sab kuch karna hoga.
Arnav: Bilkul! Tumhe aisi 3 positions k baare me pataa hai. Teenon me se tumhe jo achchhi lage woh choose kar lo aur..
Khushi(interrupts): Paahaad ban jaayein, yeh hi na?
Arnav(confused): Paahaad?
Khushi(nods): Hum paahaad banenge aur aap oont tab hi toh.. oont paahaad k neeche aayega na?
"Yeah,right!", said Arnav before Khushi straddled him.

Khushi woke up when she heard Arnav yelling at Aman.
Khushi(opens her eyes): Arnavji..
When she looked around,she realized that Arnav's voice was coming from the living room en-suite.
Khushi: Subha-subha aisaa kya ho gaya, jis ki wajah se Arnavji bhadak uthe?
She quickly wore her slippers before going towards the living room.
Arnav was about to fire Aman when he saw Khushi near the door.
He ended the call before throwing the handsfree device on the floor.
Khushi: Dhyaan se,Arnavji! (picking it up from the floor) Yeh toot jaata toh?
Arnav: Achchha hi hota!
He flings it on the floor yet again.
Khushi: Areh! Aap.. (places a hand on his shoulder) Aap shaant ho jaiyye. Chaliye,sofe par baithiye.
Arnav(agitated): Mujhe nahi baithna hai!
Khushi: Achchha,theek hai par.. (cups his cheek) humein yeh toh bataaiyye ki aap itne gusse me kyun hain?
Arnav: Kyunki mujhe aaj jaana hoga..
Khushi(shocked): Kahaan.. Dilli?
Arnav: Nahi..
Khushi(shell shocked): Toh.. London?
Arnav: Nahi Khushi! Hotel k conference rooom me,meeting attend karne k liye jana hoga.
Khushi(sighs): Oh,toh yoon kahiye na! (smacks her forehead) Hum toh pataa nahi.. kya-kya soch rahe the!
When Arnav does not reply,she wraps an arm around him.
Khushi: Iss me kaunsi badi baat ho gayi? Conference room toh neeche hi hai na? Aur.. aapki meeting 2-3 ghanton se zyaada der tak thode hi na chalegi?
Arnav: Haan,par main tumhe 1 minute k liye bhi akele chhodkar nahi jana chahta tha! Iss trip ka har pal tumhare saath bitaana chahta tha! Par ab mujhe meeting k liye jana padega,all because of this idiot Aman!
Khushi: Oh ho,ab bas bhi kijiye! Unpar chillaakar aapka jee nahi bharaa kya,jo ab aap unhe kos rahe hain?
Arnav: Kosun nahi toh kya karoon? Uss ka bas chaltaa toh mujhe Sheesh mahal jana padta iss meeting k liye!
Khushi(shocked): Kya? Yeh meeting.. Sheesh mahal se taalluq rakhti hai?
Arnav(nods): I just dunno ki unlogon ko pataa kaise chalaa ki main Lucknow me hoon? Aman ko unhe convince karna chahiye the,yeh kehna chahiye tha ki main yahaan personal kaam se aaya hoon par nahi! Itna sa kaam bhi nahi kar paaya woh,useless fellow!

She closed the door once he left.
Khushi(thinks): Chal Khushi,ab tu bhi taiyyaar ho ja. Aur neeche chalkar dekh.. kya kiya jaa sakta hai agle 3 ghanton me. Kaash iss hotel me ya.. aas paas kahin par koi mandir hota! Kya pataa ho bhi! He took a few steps away from her as she came out of the lift.

Khushi smiled at his innocence.
Boy: Par mumma toh kaheen nahi hain. (points to the lift)Humein lagaa ki.. woh lift me hain. (points to her anarkali) Unhone bilkul aapk jaisi,green color ki dress pehni hai. Khushi's heart lurches when he starts crying loudly.
Khushi(cups his face): Roiyye mat,beta! Darne wali koi baat nahi hai. Hum hain na yahaan par? (wipes his tears)Hum aapki mumma ko dhoondne me aapki madad karenge,theek hai?
Boy(sniffs): Theek hai.
Khushi: Achchha,humein bataaiyye ki.. mumma ne aapko kuch bataaya tha ki woh kahaan jaa rahi hain ya.. kab lautengi?
Boy(nods): Ji haan. Unhone kaha tha ki woh nani ko taxi me bithaakar 15 minutes me waapis aa jaayengi. Half an hour ho gaya par mumma.. waapis nahi aayi. Isiliye hum unhe khojne niklein hain.
Khushi: Aap.. kamraa khul chhodkar aa gaye?
Boy: Ji haan. Humein nahi pataa ki use band kaise karte hain.
Khushi: Par beta,aapko aise.. kamraa khula chhodkar nahi aana chahiye tha. Kya aapka kamraa iss hi floor par hai?
Boy: Ji haan.
Khushi: Humein apne kamre me le chaliye. Hum darwaza bhedkar aate hain.
Boy: Pehle aap mumma ko dhoondiye!
Khushi: Haan,woh toh hum dhoondenge hi par.. darwaza bhedne me 1 minute bhi nahi lagega. Aur.. agar aapki mumma ko pataa chalaa ki aap aise hi unhe dhoondne chale gaye toh.. woh gussa ho jaayengi.
The boy thought for a moment before acceeding to her wish.
Khushi switched off the lights,fan & air conditioner before closing the door.
Khushi(thinks): Pataa nahi iss bachchhe ki amma kahaan par hongi? Kaheen.. unk saath kuch.. bura na ho gaya ho.
Boy: Ab chaliye..
Khushi: Haan beta. (walking towards the lift) Hum neeche chalkar reception wale uncle se poochhte hain. Shaayad unhone aapki mumma ko dekha ho..

When the woman turned to Khushi,Khushi observed that she appeared shell shocked.

When his mother did not respond,Nirvaan shook her hand.

Nirvaan flashed a big grin when he was praised.

The mother,who was witnessing this conversation quietly uptill now,decided to intervene.
Woman: Beta,kya aapne aunty ko aapki help karne k liye thank you kaha?

Before she could say what she wanted to,she heard a man's voice from behind her.

Khushi turned around,to find a man in his early thirties lifting Neev in his arms.

*Later that evening*
Khushi held Arnav's hand the moment they sat in the taxi.
Arnav looked out of the window,fully aware of the fact that Khushi's eyes were trained on him.
Khushi(thinks): Let it be,Khushi. It doesnt seem like Arnavji is going to share his feelings with you.I wish you could read his mind as easily as he reads yours! Then you wouldnt have had to wait for him to say anything..
She sighs as she turns away from him.
Arnav turned to her for a few moments before returning his gaze to the window.
Arnav(thinks): Khushi was so excited in the flight! But now.. she's so quiet and.. sad,all because of me.
As he turned towards her again,his heart whispered: Is that why you've brought Khushi to Lucknow,to make her unhappy?
"Of course not!",his mind answered.
Arnav's heart: So talk to her,dammit! And do something which would make her happy!
Arnav knew that only 1 thing could make her happy.
He squeezed her hand so as to gain her attention.
Khushi: Yes?
Arnav: Sorry! I.. I just got.. nostalgic.
Khushi(nods): I can understand. I hope.. you're alright.
Arnav: Yes,I am but I dont think everything's alright with you.
He continued,without allowing her to say something.
Arnav: Had you been fine then you wouldve told the driver,"Bhaiyya,please switch on the radio..!" the moment we sat inside the taxi.
Arnav immediately felt better when Khushi smiled.
Arnav: Its been a long time since we sat in the taxi but you never said anything.
Khushi: I was just.. lost in thoughts.
Arnav: I know what you were thinking about. But you shouldnt worry so much. (wraps an arm around her)I'm fine.
Khushi: Really?
Arnav(nods): Yeah,really. I'm feeling better than how I was feeling when we.. got out of the aircraft.
Khushi(sighs): Thanks be to Devi Maiyya!
Khushi leans closer to him & places her head on his shoulder.
Arnav: Come on! Say it now..
Khushi: You say it first..
Arnav: What should I say?
Khushi: The same thing which you say whenever we visit another city or.. when we come back to Delhi from some other city.
Arnav(realizes): Oh,I get it! I'll say that for sure but not now. Right now I'm just waiting for you to speak to the driver!
Khushi shifts slightly away from Arnav before speaking to the driver.
Khushi(smiles): Bhaiyya,will you please.. (turns to Arnav & smiles wider) switch on the radio for me?
The driver nods while switching on the car stereo.
Arnav listens to the song for some moments before asking the driver to flip the radio station.
Khushi: Why did you do that?
Arnav: Coz it wasnt Salman Khan's song,right?
Khushi: Ya,but it was a nice song! Bhaiyya,please change the station..
The following lyrics were heard in a male voice as soon as the driver changed the station.

Khushi: Thats bcoz I felt helpless since.. I couldnt do anything to make you feel better. What was worse was that.. I couldnt understand what was going on in your mind.

Khushi: Please dont say sorry again & again! Look,during the course of the next 2 days,your mind will churn a lot of thoughts related to.. your past. Arnav nods while wrapping his arms around her.

Arnav: Ya,tell me?
Khushi: I was saying that.. you wont need to order dinner tonight. The stuff that di,amma n all have sent will be good enough for us.

Khushi: No,we wont need to order that either coz amma has sent sugarfree suji laddoos.
Arnav: Okay,whatever you say! I'll remove your bandage & do a fresh dressing once you've changed.

While he was bandaging her wound,his gaze rested momentarily on her right hand.

Khushi: You can check that out nicely tomorrow morning,in the sunlight. Please hurry up right now! I'm famished!

Arnav(smiles): You're welcome! You take out the tiffin boxes meanwhile I'll go & change.

Khushi(fetching her purse): Ya?

Arnav's heart sank upon noticing Khushi's crestfallen face as she came out of the bathroom.
He was hoping that her periods would've got over. But alas,that was not to be.
Khushi: The flow hasnt reduced one bit! Its exactly like the way it was this morning!
Arnav(walks up to her): Its okay. It'll be over.. maybe.. by tomorrow. Or atleast,it'll be reduced.
Khushi(exasperated sigh): How I wish! By the way.. the bathroom is awesome!
Arnav: Ya,I know.. Anyways,we should go to sleep now.
Khushi(cups his cheek): You're going off to bed at the right time after so many days!
Arnav: Ya but I dont think I'll fall asleep right away..
Khushi: I have a solution for your problem!

She was relieved when his hands cupped her face & his mouth claimed hers before she could complete the sentence.
ArShi undressed each other even before their bodies hit the bed.
Arnav gently lay on top of her while balancing his weight on his arms.
Khushi gasped as his member entered her.

Khushi slowly lifted her head off his chest & smiled.
Before he could say anything,Khushi surprised him yet again.

When she looked around,she realized that Arnav's voice was coming from the living room en-suite.
Khushi: Why is Arnavji so angry? I dont know what mustve gone wrong at this hour?
She quickly wore her slippers before going towards the living room.
Arnav was about to fire Aman when he saw Khushi near the door.
He ended the call before throwing the handsfree device on the floor.
Khushi: Be careful,Arnavji! (picking it up from the floor) What if it broke?
Arnav: I wouldve loved it!
He flings it on the floor yet again.
Khushi: Areh! You're just.. (places a hand on his shoulder) Okay,just calm down! Come & sit on the sofa..
Arnav(agitated): I dont wanna sit!
Khushi: Okay,fine. Dont sit but.. (cups his cheek) atleast tell me,whats wrong? Why are you so upset?

Arnav: No Khushi! I'll have to go to attend a meeting in the conference rooom of this hotel.

When Arnav does not reply,she wraps an arm around him.
Khushi: Why are you so upset? Conference room is downstairs,isnt it? And.. the meeting will be over in 2-3 hours.
Arnav: Ya but I didnt want to leave you alone for even a minute! I wanted to live every moment of this trip with you! But now.. I'll have to go for the meeting,all because of this idiot Aman!
Khushi: Stop it now! You were yelling at him earlier & now you're abusing him! What has he done?
Arnav: He wouldve sent me to Sheesh mahal today,all for this meeting!
Khushi(shocked): What? Is this meeting.. related to Sheesh mahal?
Arnav(nods): I just dunno how they came to know that I'm in Lucknow? Aman shouldve convinced them! He shouldve told them that I'm here for personal reasons! But he couldnt even do such a small thing,useless fellow!

Arnav: Ya,but atleast I got the location changed na?
Khushi: I dont understand.. who are these people? Why do they want to meet you? And whats the purpose of this meeting?

Khushi waited patiently till the call ended.
Khushi: Ya,now tell me..
Arnav: I'm getting late right now. But I'll tell you everythin as soon as I'm back,I promise!

Arnav(composing a text message): Hmm?
Khushi: You'd left your laptop with jijaji. Will it be possible for you to conduct the meeting without your laptop?
Arnav: Yes,it'll be possible coz the conference room has a P.C. (sends the message)And besides,I'm having my mobile..

Arnav: That suit which I'd worn yesterday.
Khushi(shocked): What?
Arnav(nods): I dont have any other suit & niether do I have the time to buy a new 1.
Khushi: Fine. I'll iron that suit.
Arnav: Dont bother. I've already sent it to the laundry. You take rest. And once I'm thru,you also finish your bath.
Khushi: okay.
*Later that morning*
Arnav was about to take his medicine when Khushi came out of the bathroom.
Arnav: What the..!?
Khushi(drying her hair): What happened?
Arnav(points to her dress): Why did you wear this?

Arnav(frowns): what do you mean?
Khushi: I'll wear a saree when you'll wear a kurta pyjama. Now you're not going to be with me for the next couple of hours. So for.. whom should I wear a saree? Thats why I decided to keep the saree for the evening.
She stops drying her hair when Arnav approaches her.
Arnav(kisses her cheek): I'll miss you!
Khushi: I'll miss you a lot as well!
Arnav: And..?
Khushi(points to her cheek): I wont do what you just did.
Arnav(shrugs): As you wish! Bye! Take care. And take your cellphone wherever you go,okay?
Khushi: Okay. (pecks his lips)Bye! You too take care. And yes,dont get too angry!
Arnav nods with a smile.
Khushi: Go now! Or else you'll reach late despite being in the same hotel! And dont worry about me. I'm sure I'll find something interesting to pass my time!
Arnav: Okay,I'll see you soon!
Khushi(nods): See you!
She closed the door once he left.
Khushi(thinks): Now its time you get ready, Khushi. Lets go downstairs & see what can be done.. during the next 3 hours. I wish there was a temple in this hotel or.. somewhere close by! Who knows? There may be 1 nearabout! I'll ask the gentleman in the reception. And if there's indeed a temple nearby then I'll sit there for 3 hours! That way I'll be able to pass time & keep myself calm as well!
She proceeds to brush her hair.

The doors of the lift parted to reveal a boy of about 5,who was anxiously peering inside.

The smile on his tear stricken face disappeared when he saw Khushi.
Khushi: Beta..
He took a few steps away from her as she came out of the lift.
Khushi: Dont feel scared,beta! I wont do anything. Just tell me,what are you doing here? That too.. alone?(looks around) Is there anyone with you?
Boy: I'm looking for my mumma. (sniffs)She's.. missing.
Khushi(frowns): Your mumma is missing?! Is it that.. you've lost your way &..
Boy(interrupts): No! Mumma is missing! She mustve lost her way! (points to himself)See,I'm right here..
Khushi smiled at his innocence.
Boy: But mumma is nowhere to be seen. (points to the lift)I thought she's.. in the lift. (points to her anarkali) She's also wearing a green colored dress,just like your dress. Thats why I called you 'mumma'.. (sniffs)But.. you're not my mumma. And I.. dont know (sniffs)where to.. find her now?
Khushi's heart lurches when he starts crying loudly.
Khushi(cups his face): Dont cry,beta! There's no need to worry! I'm here with you.(wipes his tears)And I'll help you find your mumma,okay?
Boy(sniffs): Okay.
Khushi: Now tell me,did.. mumma tell you where she was going? Or when she would be back?
Boy(nods): Yes,she did. She said that she'll be back in 15 minutes,after seeing off nani. Its been half an hour since she left but.. mumma isnt back yet. So I decided to look for her.
Khushi: Did you.. lock the door of your room?
Boy: No.. I dont know how to lock it.
Khushi: But beta,you shouldnt have.. left the door open. Is your room located on this floor?
Boy: Yes,it is.
Khushi: Take me to your room. I'll close the door for you.
Boy: I want you to look for mumma first!
Khushi: Yes,I will look for her. But it wont take even 1 minute to close the door,trust me! Besides,if your.. mumma comes to know that you left the door open,I'm sure she'll be miffed with you!
The boy thought for a moment before acceeding to her wish.
Khushi switched off the lights,fan & air conditioner before closing the door.
Khushi(thinks): I dont know where to find this boy's amma? I hope she's fine.. wherever she is.
Boy: Come on..
Khushi: Yes,I'm coming, beta. (walking towards the lift) Lets ask the uncle at the reception wale uncle. He may have seen your mumma..
Boy(pressing the button for the lift): Alright.
Khushi: What's your name?
Boy: Nirvaan Tyaagi..
Khushi: And whats your mumma's name?
At this point,the lift opened & Nirvaan exclaimed loudly: Mummmaaa!
The woman who came out of the lift was shocked to see him.

He hugged her waist tightly & smiled delightedly.
Woman(pats his head): What are you doing over here,beta? Didnt I ask you not to leave the room?
Nirvaan(breaks the hug): Yes,you did, Mumma. But you didnt come back in 15 minutes so.. I decided to look for you.
Woman(shocked): What?
Nirvaan(nods): Yes. I was about to enter the lift when I met (turns to Khushi)this aunty.
When the woman turned to Khushi,Khushi observed that she appeared shell shocked.
Nirvaan(continued): She told me that you'll be miffed if I leave the door open. So I went with her to close the door. (smiles) And when we came back,I saw you right here! Where were you,mumma? What took you so long?
When his mother did not respond,Nirvaan shook her hand.
Nirvaan: Tell me mumma!
Woman: Huh? a.. what? What did you say, beta?
Nirvaan: What took you so long?
Woman: Beta I didnt know that.. there's a taxi strike today. So.. I had to arrange for an auto to send nani home. And.. the auto driver took some time to reach the hotel..
Nirvaan: He took a long time! Do you know how hungry I am?
Woman: Yes,I know,beta. Thats why I came to fetch you. Papa is waiting downstairs. You both have your breakfast while I'll take rest.
Nirvaan: Why? Wont you have breakfast with us?
Woman: No.. I've kept a fast for ekaadashi.

She slowly turned towards Khushi.
Woman(smiles): Thank you so,so much! Had you not spotted Nirvaan,I dont know where.. he would gone while looking for me.
Khushi(smiles): You're welcome! I just noticed that the kid seemed scared & he was.. standing alone near the lift. So,out of concern,I came out of the lift to speak to him..
Woman: People like you can be rarely seen in today's time & age. Had there been.. an evil person.. in your place then..
She closes her eyes & sighs.
Woman(opens her eyes): But,by Baanke Bihari's(Lord Krishna) grace,you found him.(grateful smile)And you even decided to help me,(folds her hands) I'm really grateful.. Thanks once again!
Khushi(holds her hands): Please dont.. say that! You're embarassing me by thanking me again & again! (turns to Nirvaan) Your son is so sweet & so innocent that.. anyone in my place wouldve agreed to help him out.
Nirvaan flashed a big grin when he was praised.
Khushi: Areh,where's your tooth? Is it missing as well?
Nirvaan(confidently): No,no. I've given it to the tooth fairy!
Khushi: Oh,really?
Nirvaan(nods): Yes! Do you know what she gave me in return?
Khushi: No. What did you get in return?
Nirvaan: 20 rupees!
Khushi: Oh wow! Your fairy is so kind! Had I known about this fairy as a kid,I wouldve given all my teeth to her! And in return,I wouldve also earned money! (sad look) But I never knew about her! Thats why I gave my teeth to the mouse,for free!
Nirvaan(laughs): To the mouse?!
Khushi smiles upon seeing him laugh heartily.
Khushi(smiles): I have to say this! Even though you dont have a front tooth, (cups his face)you look very cute when you laugh!
Nirvaan(smiles): Thank you!
The mother,who was witnessing this conversation quietly uptill now,decided to intervene.
Woman: Beta,did you say thanks to aunty for helping you out?
Nirvaan: No,I didnt. (turns to Khushi with a smile)Thank you,aunty!
Khushi(pats his head): You're welcome,beta! You're..
Before she could say what she wanted to,she heard a man's voice from behind her.
Man: Neev, Rachana...
Neev(grins): Papa! You're back!?
Khushi turned around,to find a man in his early thirties lifting Neev in his arms.
Man: Yes beta. When you both didnt come downstairs,I had to come here to fetch you. What took you so long? (turns to his wife) Rachana, (notices Khushi) were.. you..?
Khushi realized that even the man appeared shocked when he saw her.

The family left immediately while Khushi kept standing there,lost in thought.
Khushi(thinks): Why were Nirvaan's parents so.. shocked to see me? When Nirvaan's mummy seemed shocked,I thought may be.. she was not expecting to see her son with an unknown woman. But then.. even his papa seemed shocked when he saw me. And.. the way they left.. in a hurry.. I dont know.. something doesnt feel right. His mummy didnt want to join them initially,since she's kept a fast. Didnt she say that she.. wanted to take rest? And when.. Nirvaan's papa had come to fetch him,what was the need for her to go downstairs? She instantly agreed to go! She didnt tell him that she wanted to take rest.. Why? She came out of her reverie when someone patted her shoulder.
Khushi: Yes?
Lady(smiles): Are you.. Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada's wife?
Khushi: Yes.. Why?
Lady(smiles): Ya,I thought so! I'd seen your wedding photos in the newspapers! You're way more beautiful in reality than you seemed to be in the pics!
Khushi(smiles): Thank you!
Lady: Are you alone or.. (looks around)is Mr Raizada here as well?
Khushi: Yes,we've come together...
Lady: Really? So.. where's he?
Khushi: He's attending a meeting right now. Pardon me but.. I couldnt recognize you..

Mrs. Sikand: Oh.. thats very sad! But I must say,Mr Raizada takes his work very seriously! He's so dedicated towards it! Not everyone agrees to compromise one's personal time.
Khushi(acknowledges): So true! umm.. Mrs. Sikand,I should take your leave now.

Khushi: Sure,I will!

A new line of thoughts entered Khushi's mind as Mrs. Sikand left.
Khushi(thinks): May be.. Nirvaan's parents had read about our wedding in the newspapers and.. seen the photos on TV.. May be thats why.. there were shocked. But.. I thought his papa was tensed.. I didnt find Mrs. Sikand tensed or worried. Upon seeing his papa,I felt like.. he was.. shocked out of his wits! And he didnt even complete his sentence..

Man: Yes beta. When you both didnt come downstairs,I had to come here to fetch you. What took you so long? (turns to his wife) Rachana, (notices Khushi) were.. you..?

Khushi's heart skips a beat as she recalls the conversation.
Khushi(thinks): Nirvaan's.. mummy's name is.. Rachana. (frowns) Racha... na?

Arnav: Okay,for starters-I had a girlfriend when I was in school,in Lucknow. Her name was Rachana.
Our relationship lasted for almost.. 1 year.
Then I had to leave Lucknow & I lost touch with her!
We did kiss & hug each other but it never went beyond that.

Khushi(thinks): Hey Devi Maiyya! Nirvaan's mummy's name is also.. Rachana. And.. her age must be.. around.. 28 or 29 years. And then.. she did seem to be shocked.. Is she.. (frowns)But.. she was studying in the same school as Arnavji while this one is.. staying in this hotel. So if.. her parental home is here, in Lucknow then.. why would she stay in a hotel? Khushi: No! uhmm.. actually.. I.. I mean.. you.. uhh.. What brings you.. here?
Nirvaan's mother: I was going towards my room when I saw you. Why are you still standing over here?
Khushi(lowers her gaze): No.. I was.. just..
Nirvaan's mother(concerned): Are you not feeling well?
Khushi(shakes her head): No.. I was.. just.. thinking..
She lets out a huge breath before turning to her.
Khushi: Can you help me?
Nirvaan's mother: Yes,of course! Tell me,how can I help you?
Khushi: You just tell me if.. you know my husband,Arnav Singh Raizada or.. not?
There were myriad expressions on the woman's face as she thought for a long moment before saying: No,I dont!
Khushi was about to heave a sigh of relief when she continued.
Nirvaan's mother: The one who was known to me was Arnav Malik,not Arnav Singh Raizada!
Khushi didnt know what to say upon hearing that.

Devi Maiyya was witnessing the whole episode from Her Abode in Mount Kailaash.
She smiled to Herself when She saw that Khushi was so shocked that she even forgot to utter Her name!
Even though She felt bad for her favourite devotee,who was utterly distressed,She knew that in the time to come, Khushi would acknowledge Her for bestowing her(Khushi) with an unexpected gift! That too a day before her birthday!
