Ufff, that dude was tooo cute and hot at the same time. How I wish there were some sparks between him and Queen. Though I am glad they didn't opt for the typical storyline...

Queen inspired me to become a backpacker which I may start next year hopefully and I will always love this movie for that. All this while I've been thinking about going on travel with friends, never thought of going alone. After watching this movie and "Wild", now I feel motivated to go alone 🥳

Well the reason I say its overrated slightly because it reminded of a lot of older films. Bollywood basically has the same way of giving the feminist message. If you watch Arth its basically the same story. Shabana Azmi goes on a self-discovering journey after he husband leaves her. She gets a job. She becomes self-sufficient in life. She find an aim in life when she decides to raise a orphaned child on her own.

Astitva basically the same old story. A house wife that is neglected and way too controlled by her chauvinist husband. But once she gets separated from him. She feels a sense of feels a sense of freedom. Once again she was never allowed to work. But now has found a job and is eager to find her own identity.

However, that does not take away from the fact that Queens was a brilliant film as well. It took the same old recycled plot and presented it in a very fresh and entertaining way. They added cuteness and innocence to the character of Rani. They made her journey fun instead of serious. Brilliant character development and growth depicted in her character. The way she gains confidence through the cooking competition win. Makes friends and learns much more about the world than she had ever known. A well made film, with a strong message even if it is recycled will always do well.
