Part 31

Patel House

"Bablu, you took such a long time to return back!!" said DD as he entered along with a few servants.

"Sorry DD, woh traffic.." he replied nervously.

"Whatever, keep these things in place and then look over the pool side decoration." she tells him as she walks towards Roshni's room.

Roshni (still in servant attire with a veil covering her face) peeps with her wide eyes open as she sees her mother walking to her room.

DD knocks on her daughter's door, while Roshni nudges Bablu to do something. Bablu calls DD and engages in a conversation regarding the decorations while Roshni slips inside her room from behind.

She changes her clothes and DD knocks. She settles her hair finally and without glancing at the mirror opens the door.

"Roshni?" asked DD.

"Yeah Mom.. come in..what happened?" she replied.

"What happened! Get ready! Why are you wearing your normal clothes? And why are you wearing this dupatta with this suit?" she asked, confused seeing her daughter.

Roshni looks at the dupatta and bites her lips remembering that she forgot to change that. She throws it on the bed and turns around to face her mother.

"I didn't notice-" she started but stops seeing DD's shocked face.

"Haldi ceremony hasn't started yet, but magically tumhare face pe haldi already hai?" she asked.

Roshni runs to the mirror to check and sees that she had forgotten to wipe the haldi from her face which was all dried and stuck to her face.

"I..I.." she stammered thinking of what to tell her mom.

"It's my fault, bodyguards were needed here too.. right?" she said sarcastically with a smile.

"Mom.. I..I'm sorry!" she said with a pout.

"Are you?" asked DD with a grin.

"No.." she started laughing and runs to her mother to embrace her in a hug.

"I love you, Mom." she whispered.

"I love you too, Beta." she responded and her voice cracked with tears that were forming in her eyes.

Roshni looks up at her face and wipes the tears,

"Mom!! No crying, please!! Don't you want to put haldi on me?" she asked.

"I wanted to be the first person to put, you know! But woh ladka.."

"Mom!! Ladka nahi Siddharth!" said Roshni cutely.

"Yes.. Siddharth, he has taken all my rights over you.." she said sadly caressing her hair.

"Mom!! That's not true.. you are MY mom.. and about the haldi.. I'll just wipe this off.. and ceremony hasn't started yet.. so technically you can be the first one to put you know.. no one will know.." she said playing with her mother's fingers.

"Really, subtle way of telling me to be quiet about your whereabouts in the morning!" laughed DD.

Roshni looks at her with puppy eyes, pleading to keep this a secret. Finally DD agrees and playfully slapping her cheeks tells her to get ready fast and leaves the room.

She goes inside the washroom and opens the tap. Looking at her face in the mirror, she reminisces how Siddharth applied haldi to her. She slowly raises her hand and touches her nose, before she could think about him anymore, Pratima calls her to get ready fast.

"Ahh.. I cannot wait to get married to you, again!!" she whispered and washes her face hurriedly.

Khurana Mansion

"Dad !! Dad !! Please !! Atleast put it in a civilized manner!!" he screamed at top of his lungs as Raj applied Haldi on to his face.

"Tu chup kar!! Khotte de puttar!" he replied back.

"Sid, stop talking or else haldi will go inside your mouth!" said Simran.

"Exactlyy.. And then don't complain that it was my fault." added Raj.

"Hadh hai yaar!! Kis janam ka badla le rahe ho aap? Yeh toh bata do?" asked Siddharth.

"I heard what those bodyguards were talking about!" whispered Raj in between his teeth.

"What were they talking about?" asked Siddharth as he was confused.

"You don't know?" replied Raj raising his eyebrows.

"No, I don't!" he said.

"Today you are getting married, leave that you are already married! And you were getting naughty with a servant in your room?" he escaped softly in anger as he pulled his ears.

"What??!! How can you even think like that? Main aapka beta hu dad.. main apni biwi ke saath aisa kar sakta hu kya?" he asked astonished that his Dad would think like that.

"Yeahh.. even I was thinking that how can you cheat on Roshni.. but then..what was that servant doing in your room for so long?" he asked raising his eyebrows.

Siddharth bites his lips and grins, instantly Raj understood what he meant.

"Roshni?! Kya baat hai... tune Roshni puttar ko bhi apni tarah badmaash bana lia hai?" he teased pulling his nose.

"Maine kaha banaya..." he smiled.. "she was like that from the beginning" he said to himself.

Patel House

Roshni comes out from the washroom after taking a bath, as she had to remove the haldi from her body. She had wrapped a towel around her and goes to the cupboard to take out her clothes. Just then, Siddharth video calls her. She cuts it and goes back to doing her work. But he keeps calling her constantly.

"Now what is wrong with him? Why is he calling me so much?!" she said aloud in frustration and picks up the call, she keeps it on speaker and keeps doing her work so that he could not see her.

"Roshni? Where are you?" he asked in a confused tone.

"What happened Siddharth!! First of all it took so much of time and energy to remove this stupid haldi and now when I just want to dress up and relax for a while because later on I have to get ready AGAIN, you are continuously calling and disturbing me!" she yelled at him.

"Roshni..woh.." he said in between his sobs.

She immediately runs to her phone and holds it in front, his head was down,

"Kya hua Siddharth?" she asked with concern.

He looks up sadly and says,

"Woh...Roshni...Main..."

"Woh what?"

"Woh... I wanted to see you in the towel!" he winked at her and grins mischievously.

She looks down at herself and then at him,

"Ugghh!! Sidddhaarthh!! I hate you!!" she said and turns the phone.

"Arree!! Now I have already seen.. why are you getting shy?? Subha when you came then you weren't..." he teased.

"Shut up!!" she whispered.

"Oh, c'mon yaar!! Husband and wife ke beech toh yeh sab chalta rehta hai na?" he said in a low voice.

"Bye Siddharth" she said. Before she could cut the call he says,

"I love you.."

She rolls her eyes and replies, "Ya I know!"

"How about I get a reply back..." he said.

"Not in the mood Siddharth.." she teased.

"Bye!!" he responded angrily.

"Waiitt..." she faces the phone and looks at him.

"Siddharth?" she calls out and he turns to face her, she leans towards the screen and kisses it.

"Come soon!!" she said and he just stared at her paralyzed by her beauty.

Khurana Mansion

It had been more than 10 minutes but Siddharth was still gazing at his blank screen still day dreaming about her. Someone's tap on the shoulder breaks his reverie. He turns to look at Kritika standing beside him,

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"Umm.. nothing! What happen? All well?" he asked her.

"Yeah.. actually..no..i wanted to talk to you." she said.

"What is bothering you, Kritika?" he asked with concern now and makes her sit beside him.

"Bhai.. I wanted to apologize to you for everything that I have done!" she said it out loud.

"But Kritika.."

"No.. Please... Let me say!" she cried and continued.

Patel House

"Maa, see my daughter is looking like a princess!" said Durga as she made Roshni wear the red chunri over her head.

"Yes... she is the most beautiful bride ever!" said Nani and puts a kaala tikka on her.

"You two stop buttering me so much! I know you guys are happy that I am going away forever!" said Roshni with a pout.

"Maa hamari chori pakri gayi!!" said DD making all three of them laugh.

She kisses Roshni's forehead and says,

"You have no idea how much I will miss you!"

"I will miss you too mom!" said Roshni on the verge of crying.

"No..No..No crying or else.." said Nani.

"Make-up kharab ho jaega!" completed Roshni with a smile.

"We have so much of work left and we are crying here!!" said DD and stood up wiping the tear which rolled down her cheeks.

"I'll be back in sometime, maa why don't you stay with her till then! Warna pata nahi kab bhaag jaye!" said DD with a smirk and leaves.

"When did you runaway?" asked Nani raising her eyebrows.

"Nowhere Nani..." replied Roshni while blushing.

"Don't go anywhere now; I have a surprise for you! Wait, I'll come in 5 minutes!" said Nani and leaves.

"Wow! Surprise!!" she said out happily and looks at herself in the mirror.

Just then her phone buzzes and she picks it up, "Hello?" she said in an excited manner.

"Kya baat hai! Tum pehli dulhan hogi jo itni excited hai wapas shaadi karne mein!" he teased.

"Oh tum!! You just spoiled my excitement!" she said playfully.

"Really? So whose call were you waiting for?" he asked.

"Tha koi.. I thought today is the last day I can speak to him after that tum mera peecha kaha chodne wale ho!" she said mischievously.

"Peecha toh main abhi bhi tumhara nahi chodne wala...Mrs. Khurana.." he said huskily making her flush red.

"Acha.. why did you call?" she asked.

"Ohh yaa.. I wanted to ask... where do you want to go for honeymoon!"

"What? Honeymoon? Are you mad?"

"Arre!! Everyone goes for their honeymoon after their wedding then why not us?"

"Yea.. but we are already married.. and it's been more than a year now!"

"I don't care.. I want a honeymoon! Tumhe chalna hai toh haan bolo warna I will take someone else!" he teased.

"I will break your bones if you take someone else!" she responded.

"Then say where you wanna go!" he asked happily.

"Wherever you take me, Siddharth.. I can go anywhere with you! Surprise me." she said.

"Done. Now, I am waiting for yours tonight! See ya soon, baby!" he said in a sultry voice and cuts the call.

Roshni beams with happiness and hits the phone on her forehead.

"Was that Siddharth?" asked Nani. Roshni nods her head for a yes and then sees the box in Nani's hand.

"What is this Nani?" she asked with excitement as she came towards her.

"This is for you, but not from me.. from Siddharth!" she said making her confused.

"Siddharth ne bheja hai?" she asked.

"Yes.." said Nani and gives it to her.

"Kab?" asked Roshni and opens the box while looking at Nani.

"When you were in Bangkok." said Nani.

Roshni looks up at her, slightly surprised by her answer waiting for her to say more.

Nani then explains to her how Siddharth wrote her a letter everyday when she was gone. She tells her that she did not get time to give her these, as something after something happened after her return. But now before she could start her new life afresh she wanted her to know everything about the past. Nani leaves her alone in the room to give her space to read, while Roshni opens the letter one by one as tears rolled down her cheeks while reading.

I hope this was worth the wait 😆 Any guesses what will happen next?? 😛
