Who you think was a bigger star during the prime. Since these two peaked at different times, it would be interesting.

Kareena's peak period is debatable but most would say it is the phase after JWM. And Deepika is currently ruling the roost.

They both shot to fame right after their debut.

Deepika is a superstar. To give 3 100 cr grossers in one year. And then to follow it up with Happy New Year and now Piku. Her prime is off the charts.

Kareena has given flop after flop like GTPM and been reduced to flower pot roles in blockbusters. Her prime was just one film that's it.

I am a huge fan of these two, but i kind of agree with Kareena's fame being limited to one film :(

Kareena has always been a big star...since her K3G to now... flop movies dont affect her...Shes a born star... Deepika is a good actress, has a great body and has worked really hard over the years..but in terms of fan base and popularity, shes nowhere near to what Bebo has been...and the Kapoor-Khan surname only adds to that... 😛

Isn't this debatable? Isn't Deepika more powerful right now than Kareena has ever been?

Kareena Kapoor is the bigger Star.
I agree with each and everything that rits said. Deepika might be popular right now but she is nowhere near Kareena. And Kareena having a statue at MT is the proof who the bigger star is

Deepika is the better actress but Kareena is still very popular but seems to be fading away.

Kareena is a terrific actress. Deepika has not reached that level in terms of acting and may never will.

I actually think deepika is the bigger star, that she played a huge role in making RL a hit(if ranveer had any considerable star power then RL wouldn't be his only clean hit)...srk probably knows he needs an established actress opposite him who adds to the box office collections and thus pairs with her repeatedly.Yes finding fanny was a flop but piku was a hit..yes piku was a content driven film but would it have made as much had vidya or kareena or pc starred in it?

When did kareena have star power enough to contribute to the box office collections of her movies?

That being said kareena is a way way better actress and deepika probably won't be able to touch her talent wise...kareena in talash
