Why do top actresses take pride in item songs??

From Madz to Kareena, Katty, PC and Deepika , almost every top actress tried s**tty or rather cheap item songs and seem to feel very proud of doing so?

Why? Isn't only acting chops enough?

They wanna feel sexy.

Cause they are not close minded 😉😉

Because they want fame and attention. Also, to enhance their sex appeal.

Because it is the trend. & it gets them the single screen male audience.


Just this ladies don't get the difference between an item number & a solo number. A solo number would get as much attention as an item song.

I wouldn't classify what Madhuri did as an item number if you are talking about TV pe breaking news cause it was not - it was done tastefully & woved into the story. It didn't look that out of part & sleazy.

What I hate is outdoor shoots with guys all around, focussing on lower body & chest parts rather than the dance, throwing water, hanging on a rope above the guys- all this to try to be sexy no thank you o.O

The only one item number which is actually done nicely is 1,2,3,4 get on the dance floor one! Fun song & no the lady is not cheapsized 🤔

if you cannot handle not making the song cheap & tacky you'd rather add normal songs focussed on the girls like its rocking or desi girl type of songs that are extremely sexy too!

None of the ladies you mentioned are proud for doing item songs. Like many mentioned, they do it because they know it sells. It makes you popular. They like the attention and the success that comes with successful hit song. It benefits their career hugely. Film offers because of their popularity ect

It makes popular + they get the song to perform in award functions
