What according to you qualifies for a good music album?

I have seen many people here say DDD didn't have good music. I just want to know why it didn't work according to you? Is it because it didn't have those soulful tracks which usually are taken as hits? I loved DDD songs - they were fun to dance to & you wanted to sing along. On the other hand when I see Humari Adhuri Kahaani becoming a hit album I found the music too repetitive - no doubt the music was beautiful but all songs kinda sounded the same! & I pretty much remember only the title track when someone asks me if you have heard the album and not any of the other songs.

So what's your view? What defines a good music album? Soulful tracks with slow music or an overall package of all types of songs 😳

According to me? Then hit music would be music that I like.

The lyrics should be meaningful

Depends..I don think there is a set definition..And i don think you need mainstream dance numbers or those typical naach gaana type songs for an album to become a hit either..I know those kinda songs help to a great extent..YJHD for instance had half the hype thanks to the album but there are those albums like Barfi & Lootera too-they don have typical Bollywood songs yet i listen to a lot of those songs till date..

Any album whose atleast 75% of the songs I can even tolerate once the initial 'catchy tune-play it on loop for the next week' is over 😛
