When I first saw the promos of this show I was impressed by its unique concept.

From the very first episode I have loved this show. It's a beautifully done show. It revolves round the hospitality industry which is a totally different concept on Indian TV.
The settings, casting execution of each episode is outstanding. All the actors are stalwarts and their acting is outstsnding.

I know it's a finite show with just some 20+ episodes.
But so far the story-line has been very engrossing. Fast paced, and each episode showing different happenings in the hotel.

Just hope it stays that way till the end. Also hope that SP does not pull it off air like it did a previous equally good show "airlines" which was abruptly ended.

airlines and everest were supposed to run for long but since the so called indian audiences can't digest such concepts. hence they were taken off air. here they don't care abt the ratings coz this is already a mini series.

Actually Everest completed it's run because it was pre-shot. The episodes were all shot and then aired. Airlines was shot as it was aired, which is why they were probably able to end that early.

What I'm not happy about is that Private Investigator was pulled off air early saying that GG was going to air, but GG didn't start until 3 or 4 weeks after PI ended! They could easily have let PI run its course in that much time.

^^ i don't know about that...but i did hear in two three tabloids tht airlines and everest both failed ot manage an impression for long run on ratings hence they were pulled off. because I clearly remember that both of these shows were announced infinite or biweekly. Had it been so, the media never cares about reporting the trp's even if they are sucessful or not because they know they have a shorter span. now how can we blame star plus in this case, clearly indian audience doesn't want to move on from regressive stuff otherwise who wouldn't love these stupid shows being replaced by airlines/everrest.
P.S : wasn't a fan of PI always thought it was something arjun part 2 even the lead guy in PI resembles so much to shaleen malhotra.

@Vishh...
I agree with you 100%.

Our Indian viewers just don't want to get out of the saas-bahu rut and watch some sensible mature shows. All they want is a scheming M-I-L or S-I-L or a wife who'll take anybcrapmfromma husband in the name pativrata stree...

I'm so happy that we now get some finite shows which move away from the same old "ghisa-pita" formula. EVen if they' last for about 6 months then also at least for those few months we get to watch some good classy shows.

Actually from everything I've read both were touted as finite series. Airlines was 26 episodes and I think Everest was supposed to run for 100 episodes which it did.

I would also blame marketing. If a new infinite series is to begin, there are reports upon reports in the media, promos upon promos on TV, and it even flashes across the bottom of other shows. Finite series unfortunately do not get the same attention.

I have noticed though that Life OK is one that is different. I've watched quite a few shows on that channel and any time a new show is to begin or even on-air shows are all advertised with banners across the bottom of other shows.

I also feel that finite series are starting to get acceptance. The problem is that the Indian audience is not used to seasons. We're used to seeing something year-around. So when a finite series starts it's hard to understand that this show is going to air for a set # of episodes, come off, and then maybe come back with another season.

The show is so far good and its a good thing that they don't drag just for the sake of meeting the total number of episodes allocated. Its already revealed that Anahita is Mr Jaitley's grandaughter and Mr Jaitley must have also heard Anahita talking to him in the hospital. Neil on the other hand who used to be so bitter now likes Anahita though he refuse to acknowledge that fact. Its good to see the character graph of the characters instead of being stagnant.
