Interesting Wedding Invites of Bollywood Celebs

Bollywood weddings are grand affairs and also extremely secretive too. No wonder fans and the media are both obsessed with our stars and are always keen to dig in for more details.

Yesterday night Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput's wedding invitation was leaked! With both the families trying to keep this affair a top secret it seems like their efforts have gone in vain. It is not just Shahid and Mira, we've also managed to get sneak peek at other stars like Kareena Kapoor - Saif Ali Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's wedding cards despite these stars and their families guarding the wedding details. We must say that these leaked wedding cards have often surprised us. We know shaadis are expensive, but our stars only make it more grand and also set new wedding trends. While some like Vidya Balan and Rani Mukerji have managed to keep their wedding cards a BIG secret here are some of B-town stars LEAKED weddings cards that got everyone talking...

Shahid - Mira:

The Shaandaar actor's wedding card was what we call classy. What made it special was his brother Ishaan Khattars personal touch. The special sweets that accompanied this invite are apparently baked by Shahid's younger bro, isn't that simply awesome!

Kareena Kapoor - Saif Ali Khan:

Like Shahid, Kareena and Saif too had a very intimate wedding. It was a closed affair with only close family and friends in attendance. Saif Kareena had a registered marriage at his Bandra residence and a party that followed in Mumbai. However, a grand Daawat-E-Walima (basically a reception) in Delhi that was attended by the who's who of Bollywood and politics. The card itself was simple and elegant in gold and cream and had the Pataudi emblem on top.

Aishwarya - Abhishek Bachchan:

This was indeed one helluva wedding! Three golden boxes that had two A's embossed on them. It seems that apart from the card itself there was special chocolate mithais and a Ganesha idol that the guests received.

Riteish - Genelia Deshmukh:

This cute couple had three separate invitations for sangeet, wedding and reception. The couple had both a catholic and Marathi style wedding and we must say they looked adorable together.

Shilpa Shetty - Raj Kundra:

The Big Brother winner married her now husband in style. This was one of Bollywood's grand weddings that had everybody talking. It was extravagant in every sense. The invitations especially was beautiful in gold and red and yes we hear that the chocolates were yummy!

Vivek Oberoi - Priyanka:

The Saathiya actor married his non filmi Bangalore based wife in a quiet ceremony, but the invitation was super grand and we hear that it was made of crushed gems and gold! This was an eco-friendly invite that had three compartments, one which held the sweet meat, one the invites and the third where the limited edition of Ganjifa painting was placed (for special invitees only).

Soha Ali Khan - Kunal Khemu:

This is one of my personal favourites! A minimal wedding affair that had an elegant invite that had beautiful pink roses.

Imran Khan - Avantika Malik:

Quirky and fun is what best describes this unusual invite. Imran and Avantika's was a wedding card like no other Bollywood actor's. Two boxes, silver and black carried a planner and chocolates, while the venue, time and other details of the event were printed on a yellow paper that was attached to a pinwheel.

Esha Deol - Bharat Thaktani:

Hema Malini's elder daughter got hitched to businessman in Juhu. The invitation had motichoor laddoos along with pictures of Radha Krishna and an elegant white and golden card that had all details inscribed on it.

Arpita Khan - Aayush Sharma:

Salman Khans darling sister got hitched to Aayush Sharma last year. The wedding became one of the biggest events of the year thanks to Shah Rukh Khan and Salman's patch up. The invitation was beautiful and carried three cards along with chocolates for the invitees.
