#VVIPracism was trending again on twitter today. All the Indian news channels are in agreement that VVIPs should be treated just like you and me.
Do people here think that's a good idea? We hear of mafias and MP/MLAs are supposed to take decisions that might not be in favour of some of these people. WOuld they then be safe travelling to work in auto rickshaws?
On the other hand, you have people like Punjab CM in whose private bus service, a fiasco took place in recent times. He gave compensation of Rs 2 crore to the girl's family from the "State" treasury.
