I watched this movie today again (seen many times before - probably in one of my faves collection of movies and soundtrack) i always liked this movie and wanted to know what others thought of it and the plot to it?

I think its a lovely movie, layered with emotions and i understood it well but if i had explain the plot to anyone in simple terms it would be a man falls in love with a woman, she loves and marries someone else, hubby dies and she dies in childbirth giving birth to her daughter, and then years later... she looks exactly like her mother, and then the daughter falls in love with the man who loved her mother...

And thats where - the controversial topic comes in...

On the whole what do you guys think of the movie and so on? 😊

I also have to say Anil Kapoor and Sridevi are one of my fave pairings as well

Song Singer(s)

i remember watching this movie at home after watching saajan. madhuri being my fav..i loved saajan and the songs.
i was not too sure about this movie lamhe, but my mum kept saying, bri u must see this movie.
and when i did..just wow! i couldn't believe the boldness of this movie, i knew the reason why it didnt' do well at boxoffice..its the subject, the story, yes way ahead of its time. i heard saajan was a clean hit, but lamhe was a floppy at boxoffice windows...but tell you, lamhe is a better movie than saajan.

@bold - Same here. Whenever this Lamhe song would come on TV.. mum would ask me to watch it. But somehow I never did.

But when I did.. I understood why my Mum kept asking me. I was so surprisingly shocked. It was way ahead of its time. Sri - Anil.. just brilliant. Songs.. picturization. emotions. Top notch. Loved the movie.

Its a shame when a good movie does badly

But i still say Lamhe is probably most watched then Saajan in my opinion 😊

i think saajan was a big hit. mainly cos of the super duper songs. listen to the songs of saajan. melodious. salman bhai, mads and sanju baba were tops too😛

btw...sridevi walked away with all the awards this yr for lamhe, even tho saajan was a hit , mads didn't win filmfare award. sri was just too good in lamhe.

Saajan songs are great, i stll listen to them. But the movie doesnt make me want to watch again and again unlike Lamhe... Lamhe is layed

Sridevi deserved the awards, she was so good and the double role.

But Viren just makes me want to cry with him, he kept it all in
