Part 28

"Rashi...Rashi...Wait yaar" Arohi turned around on hearing Shaina calling out to someone. On looking, she knew it was Rashi but why she had left so abruptly. "Samar...Go with her" Roy gave hasty orders to Samar who ran behind the lady in anger. "Roy...What happened to her?" Arohi questioned Roy who was giving her a rather disapproving. "I am sorry Ma'am...but I think, Rashi Maam can give you a better answer of this question" His tone was rather accusing than normal serious, she was used to hear. "Arohi...What happened to her?" Shaina asked the same question as her on approaching near. Arohi just bit her lower lip before replying. "Let's go home and check"

On reaching home, Shaina felt a little dizzy. "Shy, you better go and take some rest...I will check on Rashi haan..." Arohi said and carefully helped her get in bed before moving up the stairs. She had an intuition that something is so going to change. That there is something, she was unaware of. That she had committed a crime.

Taking a deep breath, standing infront of Rashi's room door, she took a moment before knocking. "Rashi..." She had to say a word and she heard a metallic sound from inside banging the door. Holding the knob, she turned it feeling scared for Rashi and found the door open. She entered inside just to see Rashi pacing angrily from one corner to other before she banged another metallic vase on floor. "Rashi...What's the issue? Why are you so angry?" Arohi questioned making Rashi stopped in her tracks and sending an angry glare her way. "Issue? You are asking me about the issue Arohi? You should have known it yourself ..." She lashed out in pure agony. "What do you mean by it?" Arohi questioned confused but Rashi wasn't the one to hear her out today. "You know, I was testing the extremes of my patience...I have been trying to be the friend, that best friend who has to support you...be your backbone...I had numerous time took decisions making myself put as a friend to you rather than being a sister to my own brother...but today, I am just going to be the sister who was raised up by her brother and who cares alot for his happiness" She started on making Arohi take a step back as she took a step ahead. "What the hell you were doing with that bastar* ex fianc of yours..." Rashi questioned with those same dangerous eyes with which she has seen Arjun taking over his competitors and right now, Arohi was shivering under Rashi's cold gaze. "He met just accidently Rashi...I didn't even know that he is in Delhi...but...how did you recognized him...You have not even met" Arohi put forward her doubts but Rashi cut her in between. "I don't need to meet that a** of a man to recognize his true face...But I swear Arohi, next time if I see him again with you...then God save him from me" She warned. "But..." Again Rashi cut her in between. "How much have you known him Arohi...for how many months...I doubt if it was a year" Arohi knew that Rashi was too hot headed to listen her so she didn't argue further on and decided to just let Rashi speak, providing her answers which she needed. "6 months" Arohi answered. "And those 6 months, that trust you had on that man is too great that all the efforts, patience, support and love that my brother is showering on you from the last 9 months seems too less in comparison ...Isn't it?" Her tone was sarcastic but what she said hit the correct chord of Arohi's heart. "It took him 11 years to find you...Do you want him to wait another 11 years to get his love...I have seen him craving for a friend...I have seen his madness for his love...I know, he was being selfish when he married you without your consent...it was me who went against him for the very first time...I confront him as how could he force his decision on you...How could he force his love on you...And then he made me see something after which I couldn't less agree with him...Wait a minute" Leaving her still in a whirlpool of thoughts, Rashi went into Arjun's room to grab his laptop. Bringing it back, she logged into it with the password Arjun has eventually started to put of his all accounts when he had realized his love for Arohi. ArohiArjunPunj. Opening his mails, she located the desired one through search and turned the laptop screen to make Arohi see.

As further she read the mail while sitting on Rashi's bed, Arohi was all stunned. She couldn't believe she was fooled all through by that moron Abhinav. He came out to be a nice person to him all through in the dance teaching school. When he had proposed, she indeed thought that it was her way out from the Grandpa's territory but then the below statement in email of the agreement between Akshay and Abhinav made her swear. All along, he was acting of being a nice guy just to get hold of her property. He was going around with other girls even after being engaged to her. "Bhai wouldn't have married you that way if he had any other option." Rashi started out once again while putting a hand on Arohi's shoulder. "Your Grandpa was your legal guardian till you were to be married and even if Bhai would have helped you escape, he could have filed a case against him...Not that he feared it, it's just that he didn't want your's or aunty's name to get dragged anywhere...beside, Akshay Sharma was adamant to make you get married and get away with the responsibility but still wanted to hold the power in the property you owned which after your marriage would have been transferred on the name of your husband. He had all his plans ready but bhai wanted you to have all those right you had. He wanted you to get all what Aunty has worked and left behind just for you" Rashi said, making her already dizzy head more wobbly. Indeed, Rashi was right. "But he could have just tell the police..." Arohi put forward the last doubt she had. The last argument that could have spared her from the grandpa's web even though she knew it was a lame one. "Do you seriously believe that police of Dehradun would have taken any action against your Grandpa considering the connections he had ...No matter how valid the proofs would have been, they would have tampered them to prove your Grandpa's innocence and Akshay Sharma wouldn't have even a scratch on his back even after being such a manipulating man." Rashi answered making Arohi take a painful sigh. Why life has been so complicated for me? She wondered.

Loosening up his tie, Arjun pushed it away before opening the buttons of his shirt. The day turned out to be a tough one. The Dehradun project was finally shaping up well. If it goes according to plan, they will be set off to do the inauguration in nearly another two months. "Arohi will do the honors" He was firm on his decision while a happiness was bubbling inside. Life has surly been taking beautiful turned. For sure, he can bet that they, he and Arohi had moved ahead in their relationship. The easiness was seeping in, making him feel closer to her then ever. Her momentary touches, her giggles will always make his heart skip a beat. "It's simply getting crazy" With a foolish smile, he told himself before moving ahead to change and fresh up.

Coming out, he threw away the towel after wiping his face when his eyes fell on the connecting door and the light emitting out from it. His eyes moved towards the wall clock to see it striking 1 am. "Arohi is still up?" He wondered before moving ahead to inquire.

Knock on the glass caught Arohi attention from the deep thoughts. She looked towards the connecting door to see Arjun standing. Motioning with her hand, she called him in. Smiling, Arjun carefully entered and inhaled the womanly smell of her perfume. God! It's addictive. "You are still up..." He inquired making her aware of the time. The thoughts, the questions that Rashi left behind were too brain storming that she was unable to realize about the setting sun and rising moon. "Are you ok?" When she didn't reply, Arjun moved a step ahead in worry to check on her but she smiled and patted the bed. He was the man in her questions, May be, he will have the answers too. "Are you too tired for a chat?" She asked seeing his tired eyes but he shook his head. He can any day leave his leisures behind to hear her out. "I am good..." Taking seat on the other side of the bed, he turned his body towards her, giving all his attention. "What is it?" Arohi heard him while she arranged the words in her mind. The topic was too open for her to start on. "Arohi" He encouraged her. Looking straight into his eyes, she inquired. "What is love Arjun?" Arjun narrowed his eyes for a moment, trying to analyze what she needs to know about it. Isn't she in love with him yet? Still, not judging her, he leaned back on the bed and replied. "Love is not something to explain Arohi. It's an emotion what you feel from your heart. It's nothing like what they say in the books...madness, insanity, heart gripping...It's even more powerful...It doesn't make you mad, it makes you sane too...It brings protectiveness, possessiveness, care and support. It's not like a person becomes your whole world but that person makes you value the world. It keeps you on ground when you are feeling high and then it cheers you up in dooms." He explained with a happy satisfactory smile. Arohi was lost in him till he finishes. She was loving to hear his carefree voice but as soon as he stopped, she instantly missed it, so quickly, she brought up another question. "How did you know that you are in..." And the last word remained still in her mouth, but he smirked, loving to see her like this. "You mean Love?" His eyes were shinning with happiness but now, avoiding to look at him, she played down with her fingers and nodded. He chuckled at her antics. "It was not me...It was actually Mom who figured it out first". And that made her lashes rose up. "Aunty?" She questioned just to see him nod. "It was surprising for me too...*taking a deep breath* you know, when we get into teenager life, we think that we are old enough to understand ourselves, to understand world...We give up to seek other advises but these parents na, they can never give up to look after their children..." Arjun lips widened as the memory of the day run pass through his mind. "After you left, I was lost. I was irritated and annoyed most of the time. Probably cause I didn't had the one person with me whom I can talk to...*Giving her a prcising look that kept her attention** Rashi did try to be that friend but I couldn't feel that...that connection...You know...That freedom of thoughts...I always had to keep it in my mind that it's my sister I am talking too..." Arohi observed him closely. He was looking exactly like the boy she had left behind. "Then Mom prompted me to make new friends in our colony...I tried but no one could become that close... They were getting irritated by my crazy behavior and that's when mom came to my rescue. She told me that to survive, I had to leave you behind...But...I...I just couldn't and hearing it, she smiled...*and he smiled too** It was one of those rare smiles...I think she knew it right then..." Arjun told her with a childlike enthusiasm that she was loving to see. Even though, their wedding was going to be completing 9 months in another two days, she never has seen him this outspoken ever.

From there on, he started to fill her himself about the events in the one year, he had with his parents after her departure. The tantrums he threw around, the whining Rashi, the supporting Mom and frustrated father. About the papers he gave in anger and for the first time, his grades fell down. But all through, Arohi kept mum loving to know how much he had missed her. "I have missed you too". Her heart spoke out loud but the lips were unable to utter them. He was a man of words, of power, of passion and of obsession and it was his obsession, that actually kept him alive, made him work truth and nail to be here where he is. And the obsession name is, Arohi.

Tired from the day, Arjun didn't realized when he was dwelled into sleep while sitting in a half laying position on her bed. Arohi looked at him but didn't had the courage to wake him up. Somewhere, she was feeling comfortable with his presence. Secure. Yes, that what she was feeling to have him around. Moreover, that baby like smile on his face was too sweet to ignore. Feeling her own lips widening, she layed down on the far corner of her bed, keeping a safe distance between themselves, sandwiching her hand between her face and the pillow, intently keeping her gaze on his face, memorizing each curve, each edge, each line she drifted into a deep peaceful slumber.

The dawn couldn't have been any better that it was right now for Arjun. His fascination, his obsession was laying comfortably in his arms having that serene look which he knew, he will always cherish. That he knew, was somewhere cause of him. The stars outside were starting to dim as sunlight overshadowed them but the light in his heart seems to be just turned on. This moment was just just so precious for him to disturb. Just too valuable to care about the numb hand on which she was keep her head for don't know how long. To care about the ache his body was feeling just to stay in that particular position for so long. He was awake from a time now, but he didn't notice it being too busy feeling her soft breath falling on his chin. This close he was. A little bend down of the face and he placed a soft kiss in her hairs. Firstly, she didn't move but a moment later, her hand moved up and curled into his sweat shirt after letting out a sleepy moan. "Hmmm..." Next her leg fell on to his thigh, making him shock out from his wits. She was thinking him to be the pillow, she was used to sleep snuggling on. Firstly, Arjun wanted to extract himself perfectly knowing the embarrassment this scene will cause her if she gets up right now but then, he was not so keen on moving away either. Having her curled up to himself was such a pleasure to miss on and back off. So he stayed there, letting her take advantage of him. Just the thought make him smirk before he moved ahead and keeping his forehead touched to her, close his eyes before falling once again into sleep.

Waking up to the bright sun light, Arohi stretched her hands before she felt herself trapped between a pair of arms. Shocked, she quickly turned around just to see Arjun sleeping comfortably while crooning his nose into the side of her neck. At first, she felt relief but right then, his arms moved a little more around her waist, making her feel burning. He pulled her closer in his sleep, making her get flushed against him chest. His soft rhythm of breath seemed to have synchronized with her loud beating heart pretty well that she can almost hear it in her ears while his breath would flutter her hairs. Her own breathing pace increased and before she couldn't get hold, she tried to move up only to be pulled back by his strong grip. The moment has irritated his deep sleep as he started to rub his nose in her arm like a little kitten before finding the perfect place and settling down. Arohi left out the breath she was holding from so long. "What are you doing to me Arjun? I am getting insane here" She thought and made another attempt to get out. Irritated already, this time, he let her go before turning to another side and sleep. Arohi got up hurriedly from the bed and looked down at him. Just how did she landed up in his arms? She wondered. Taking calculation notice, she knew it was she who has not been at her own place from last night. "Oh my God!" Holding her head, feeling so embarrass yet tingling, she speedily caught hold of one of her dresses from the sliding door cupboard, making sure to not make any noise before she rushed in to take a shower.

As water rinsed down his body, Arjun patted his face trying to hide that grin which was seem to be a permanent feature since the moment he get up and found her missing. Nonetheless, her aura was still held by the air. Her warmth was still infused into her pillow that he had hugged to his face before taking a deep breath in it like a helpless lover. He knew she must be feeling...awkward but he also knew, that now, they have crossed another step in their relationship. The most satisfying thought that run through his mind was that she is no longer uncomfortable by his closeness. Last night, he knew he drifted to sleep before her. She could have wake him up and ask him to go back to his room and sleep or she could have move to some other room for the night but she did none. She stayed there, in the same bed, trusting him...and *fingers crossed* may be, being in love with him.

"Good Morning" Hearing his fresh voice, the morsel that was making its way to her mouth stopped right in its track. The scene from an hour back rushed through her mind making her feel all hot and bothered. Shaina, Rashi and Aryan didn't notice her reaction and wished Arjun a happy Good Morning. Pulling out the chair, Arjun took a seat beside her before passing a glance. "Good morning Arohi" He wished having tongue in cheek. "Good morning" Arohi replied as she knew, ignoring his wish will only make others notice her but right then, she heard his voice, a little closer to her ears then before. "I hope you had a great night" He had leaned down a bit and whispered with a husky tone. That's when she finally looked back at him with a scorching gaze. Arjun scrunched his nose in amusement before calling Rupa for his breakfast. Rashi from the corner of her eyes observed that little exchange and smiled. "Arjun...I need to tell you something". It was Aryan who has started the conversation. "What?" Arjun inquired as Rupa put forward his breakfast and left after nodding to his thank you. "Actually Mom Dad are coming to Delhi next week...she wants to spend some time with Shaina and as expected, is hell excited for the coming baby...But, she wants us to move back to our own home where I born...Where I was brought up...So we were thinking to shift within this week so we are settled down till she arrives." That caught everyone's attention. "What? You are moving out?" It was Arohi who was shocked. "And here I was thinking that now finally I have my sister" Shaina chuckled to see her childish pout. "Ohoo...we are not shifting out of city...We will still meet...it's just that..." She help Aryan's hand tightly. "I am missing my mom too...especially in this state when I am on the verge of becoming a mom myself...Plus, I really do want to spend time with Aryan's mom...I want to move out and create those relationships which are his..." Shaina looked at Aryan who was proudly looking back at her. Arohi was shocked. She never knew that Shaina will be this tamed after wedding but Shaina has seriously learned the traits of a happy relationship. All thanks to Aryan and his love. "Well, I will say that's good...Though I would love to have Uncle Aunty here...they are the parents figure to me yet I know how close a family needs to bond...If you need any help, then do tell me" Arjun offered and Aryan smiled, nodding. "Oh before that, you do know about the party for the foreign investors that we are planning to keep on this weekend..." Arjun inquired. "Oh yeah...for sure I am in...No questions to ask about it..." Aryan assured making Arjun smile. "With this Dehradun project, Our hotel will be the 3^rd most successful chain of hotels in India..." As the two men indulged themselves in the success talk of their business, Shaina pouted looking back at the girls. "What will I wear? My belly will look too blown out in a dress..." She whined making Rashi giggle. "Don't worry, I have something special for you from the maternity party dresses collection" She assured. "And pregnancy just makes you look more beautiful...dresses won't make u look dull...instead they will make you feel prettier" Arohi added making Shaina pout. "I will ask you how it feels about dressing up when you will be all pregnant and have to attend a party" and that caught Arohi off guard. Just the thought of her being pregnant with Arjun's child sent shivers down her spine. Rashi gave an all meaningful look, before she shifted her attention back to Shaina. Right then, as he had heard, she felt Arjun hand snaking in her palm before he bend and whispered slowly. "I can't wait for it" And if looks could kill, Arohi would have melted right away seeing the desire emanating from his eyes.
