Her dream was broken. Warrior High was not for people like them. She understood. It was for the rich, spoilt brats who didn't care for anyone else but themselves. It was her mistake that she came here and dragged Niti and Utkarsh here too.
"Siyali?" Niti called her.
"Yes?" she replied.
"Are you okay?"
"No, I'm not. Why are you asking me. I should ask you this. Are you ok Niti?" Siyali asked.
"I'm fine. Tu please tension mat le. Everything will be okay. We'll make these morons repent." Niti said.
"How can you act so normal Niti? How can you be so strong? After what Charlie did to you, if I was in your place I'd cry probably."
"Siyali, that Charlie is a complete loser. He is a coward. And you know na that I've always dreamt of a strong and brave man who'll love me and be with me no matter what. Charlie was never that person. It was my mistake to think that he was! Ab tu yeh sab chod. Go and meet Kamini ma'am. She was looking for you."
Siyali nodded and leaves. Niti wiped the tears from her eyes. But she couldn't control herself anymore. So she broke down completely. This pain was killing her inside.
Chapter 2
Siyali was walking down the corridor but she soon stopped when she saw Sid. He was in the gym. He was punching the punching bag. He was angry. That was evident but why? It was Siyali who should've been angry. After all he did things he shouldn't have done, said things he shouldn't have said. She was angry on him too but a small part within her sympathised with him. He wasn't that bad. She knew it but he confused her. What he did was bad enough. But somehow she felt that he was guilty, he didn't want to do it. A small part of her wanted to be with him and comfort him. He was disturbed, she could tell. But what was happening to her? How could she empathize with Sid when he did all this. She wasn't supposed to feel this for him. She had to go otherwise she felt like she would melt. But before she could leave she saw his hands. They were bleeding. He was punishing himself. Tears welled up in her eyes. She couldn't see him like this but she couldn't go to him. All she wanted to do was tend to his wounds but she couldn't. She left with tears in her eyes.
Chapter 3
Siyali reached the class before anyone else did. She was going through her book when Sid entered. Siyali looked at him but he didn't. He sat down in his place and took out his book. Siyali looked at his hands. It was badly bandaged. He was upset but she didn't know the reason. Both of them were studying without looking at each other. Sid at first, thought that Siyali would shout at him but strangely she didn't. He mustered up the courage to look at her. She was beautiful, more beautiful than ever. He was trying very hard to hate her. She looked up and at him. Sid tried to see some anger, resentment or disappointment in her eyes but there was none. There was something else, sympathy and concern. This was making it very hard for him to hate her. He could say that she had been crying. He hated himself for the way he treated her today. He did it purposefully. He hated her and wanted her to hate him back. But unfortunately he had not been successful because now she pitied him. The students started entering the class and that's when Sid and Siyali realised that they had been staring at each other from a long time.
Part 4
Angela's entry had created quite a fuss. Some of the boys had already gone crazy about her. But one person who disliked her discovered that Angela was trying to take her place. All of Krissann's friends liked her, boys liked her and she was now the hottest girl of Warrior High. In short, Angela replaced Krissann in a day! She was walking on volleyball court when she heard someone talking. She moved a little closer and found Utkarsh talking to Parth.
"Bro.. What do you think?" Utkarsh asked.
"I don't have any opinion on this." Parth replied.
"C'mon bro... You know what, I have never seen a girl like that. Angela Fernandez, wow! She's so hot and beautiful. She looks like a model. Don't you think? I think I like her already." Utkarsh blushed.
"Utkarsh please! We have class. Can we talk about this later?"
"Okay Okay, khadus baba.."
Krissann on overhearing their conversation becomes very angry. How could he? He just called her the hottest girl of Warrior High a few days back and now he thinks Angela is hot! Such hypocrites. But she wasn't going to let Angela take her place. Ever!
Part 5
Siyali had an hour free with no work to do. She was tired of everything and she knew that the one thing that would freshen up her was a good book. So she made her way into the library. As she was searching for a book, she bumped into something. It was Sid. They stared at each other for a long time, each of them waiting for the other one to say something. But neither of them spoke. It was finally Siyali who broke the silence.
"I don't have the energy to fight with you." Siyali said.
"Neither do I" he replied.
Siyali was now sure that something was wrong. She wanted to know. But was angry on him too.
"Can you please move?" Sid said.
"No."
"What?" he was surprised.
"I mean..." She was not sure what to say. She wanted to know what was going on in his mind but wasn't sure how.
"What you did with us today, was really bad..." Siyali said. She tried to sound angry but wasn't.
"I thought you didn't wanna fight!"
"I don't. I just want to know why you did that." Siyali replied.
"I don't think that I need to explain you. Infact, I don't want to talk to you." He said but he was confused as to why was Siyali acting this way.
She should have shouted but here she was asking for an explanation very calmly. It would have been easy for him to insult her if she just shouted at him but she didn't.
Siyali could understand that he was confused and hurt. But he wasn't going to let it out. This made Siyali more adamant about knowing the truth. She slowly touched his hand. The bandage was soaking in blood. She held his hands very softly, trying hard not to hurt him.
Sid was absolutely confused now. He knew that if he didn't go now, he will never be able to. He pushed her slightly and left, leaving her astonished. She wasn't sure why was she so concerned about him.
Part 6
Next day, Niti and Parth were sitting under a tree. They are chatting when Niti noticed Charlie. He was looking at her from a distance. She turned around so that he could not see her. Charlie felt bad. After all, he lost his love. But he never deserved it. He was such a coward. He couldn't even accept his love in front of his friends. Suddenly there was a tap on his shoulder. He turned around to see Sid.
"What's up bro?" Sid asked.
Charlie was angry on Sid but couldn't show it. He was trying to avoid him.
"Nothing bro. I was just going to the gym." He replied.
Sid nodded and sees Niti.
"Poor girl!" He said.
"What? Who?" Charlie asked.
"Niti. God knows what she thinks of herself. How can she even dream that you like her?" He paused then continued. "This girl is so mad. There is no comparison between both of you. Someone who falls in love with Niti will have to be brave to face the society. Right, Charlie?"
Charlie looks at him for a moment and nods. He excuses himself and leaves.
Part 7
Siyali was walking down the corridor when she saw Sid kneeling in front of maa's burial. He laid a flower there. Siyali walked upto him and knelt down beside him.
"Pata hai Sid, whenever I used to get upset, I used to take Maa's box in my hands and speak to her. She was not only Utkarsh's maa but ours too." Siyali said.
"Aren't you angry?" Sid asked.
"I am." She replied.
"Then why are you being so nice?" He asked.
"I don't know."
"You don't have to be so polite."
"Sid please let me bandage your hand properly."
"No."
"Sid please." She pleaded. Something in her behaviour struck him. She never pleaded him. But today she did. Sid nodded. Siyali went to get the first aid box. Within a few minutes she was back.
She carefully applied the medicine on his wounds and tied the bandage. All this while Sid kept looking at Siyali. She had changed. Her concern for him was evident. She was beautiful. All Sid wanted right now was to hug her tight. But he had to control himself.
Part 8
After all the classes Sid asked Siyali to meet him in the gym. She was nervous at first but decided to go anyway.
Sid was sitting and waiting for her.
"You wanted an explanation?" He asked.
Siyali nodded.
"I was angry. You misunderstood me, you slapped me. You hate me."
"No I don't." She suddenly laughed.
"What happened?"
"I'm sorry. I never knew that my temperament means this much to you. Well I know that you didn't spike the drink. And I was so guilty but then you go ahead and insult my best friend. I had to slap you, you idiot." Siyali answered.
She discovered that her anger had faded away.
"Siyali how do you expect me to keep quiet when you slap me in front of everybody? Yet, I felt so guilty."
"I know" she replied.
"I'm sorry." He said.
"I'm sorry too." She replied.
They stared at each other for a long time then hugged. Now they were friends, truly.
