ABBAS-MUSTAN TAILOR SCRIPT FOR SHRUTI HAASAN

Shruti Haasan has been signed by director duo Abbas-Mustan for an upcoming action thriller. Kamal Haasan and Sarika's 29-year-old daughter who already has half-a-dozen films in her kitty is really excited about this one because she will be seen kicking and punching in it.
The actress who was seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Gabbar Is Back which released last month had rued at the time that her hero got to do all the maar dhaad. This as-yet-untitled film will not give her a reason to grouse about being cut out of the action.
According to a source close to the development Shruti has been in advanced talks with Abbas-Mustan since last month. But its only recently that she gave her nod to the film.
"Initially, both she and the male lead had a few action sequences. But now the highvoltage drama has been tailored around her. Abbas-Mustan have incorporated a few more action scenes into the script which is still being worked which will be picturised on Shruti," informed the source. Shruti will be shown the final draft of the script before it is locked," reveals a source close to the development.
The film is still in pre-production. The makers are working on the script. "Shruti will be shown the final draft of the script before it is locked," adds the source.
The actress already has her plate full. She has two Tamil films in her kitty, Puli and an untitled Ajith starrer. There's also a Telugu film, Srimanthudu, and three Hindi films, including Rocky Handsome and Welcome Back with John Abraham and Yaara with Vidyut Jammwal and Amit Sadh. She has wrapped up Tigmanshu Dhulia's drama, Yaara, and now heads down South for her Telugu film. The makers are still looking for the male lead for this film which will go on floors in October.
Shruti has already got basic training in Kalaripayattu, a form of martial arts popular in Kerala. "Before this film rolls she plans to do the advanced course. She will also take a course in mixed martial arts and attend a workshop," says the source.
