Part 29
"The function went off so well" sighed DD with happiness as she laid on the bed.
"Yes Mom, it was amazing! I loved it!!" said Roshni while climbing on the bed beside her mother.
"You have already taken the pain killers, Mom and those were strong ones! Who told you to dance so much that now your feet are hurting!!" said Roshni while pressing her feet.
"I think you should sleep now, tomorrow is going to be a long day!" said DD stroking her daughter's hair.
"You too mom!!" said Roshni cuddling beside her.
"Ahh, I will sleep peacefully tomorrow.. but you.." teased DD.
"Mom!! Now you have also started teasing me!" she said jumping up to sit.
DD laughs aloud when Roshni's phone buzzes.
"Raat ko bhi chain nahi hai uss ladke ko!" she said incredulously.
Roshni looks at her phone and says,
"It's not him. It's Yash."
"Oh! Then let me better leave you guys to talk!" she said.
"Goodnight mom!" she kisses her mother's forehead and switches off the light.
"Hi Yash! What's up?" said Roshni and leaves the room.
After sometime, DD was fast asleep and she had covered herself up with her duvet. Siddharth had climbed up till Roshni's room and jumped off the window inside the room. He looks at someone sleeping on the bed and thinks that it was Roshni.
"Arre, she is sleeping? Then why is her phone busy?" he whispered to himself.
He tiptoes carefully towards her and kneels on the ground beside her sleeping figure. It was too dark for him to notice that it was DD and not his Roshni.
"Baby... Roshni.. Get up na!" he whispered in her ears.
DD moves a bit in her sleep and Siddharth thinks that Roshni was pretending to be asleep to tease him further.
"Oh! You want to play this game?" he said in his sexy voice and continued, "You know, I love playing games with you..." he traces his hands from her palms to her shoulder.
DD shifts uncomfortably inside the duvet but was fast asleep due to the painkillers that she took.
"Why are you shying away? Kal waise bhi humari suhaag raat hai aaj thoda warm up kar lete hai??" he said softly in her ears and gets up from the floor so that he could cuddle her.
He lies down beside her and leans forward to kiss her cheeks and before he could embrace her someone switches on the light. Siddharth looks up at the door and sees Roshni standing there.
They both stare at each other in shock for a moment and then Siddharth looks down to see who was sleeping beside him. He shrieks along with Roshni which breaks DD's sleep and Siddharth rolls down on the floor as DD was about to open her eyes. He hurriedly hides himself under the bed as DD springs up on bed.
"Why are you screaming?" asked DD.
Roshni was stunned with what she had seen earlier that she stood dumbstruck. Siddharth peeps from under the bed and indicates Roshni to speak.
"Woh...woh..i saw a rat in the room!" she stuttered.
"What? Rat! Where!! Oh my God, I did feel something climbing on my arms!" yelled DD jerking her hands off.
"Climbing up your arms?" she repeated with a disgusted face and glares at Siddharth. DD notices her looking under the bed and says,
"Is it under the bed?"
"Yess!!" said Roshni absentmindedly.
Siddharth hits his face with his palms and raises his hands asking Roshni what she is doing. DD gets up from the bed and Roshni realizes that her mother would look under the bed, so she runs towards her and says,
"I mean it was but now I think it left."
"But let me check once how will we sleep until we are sure?" replied DD.
"No..no.. Mom it left I saw.." she turned DD to face her and Siddharth climbs out of his hiding and tip toes silently out of the room indicating to Roshni that he will be waiting for her.
"I saw... it leaving with my own eyes...but if you insist we can check again." she stammered.
After checking the whole room when DD was finally satisfied that there was no rat, she sleeps. Roshni excuses herself saying that she was thirsty and leaves the room. As soon as she closes the door, Siddharth pulls her towards him. He was leaning on the wall and Roshni collides with him.
He looks at her adoringly and caresses her cheeks,
"You look so beautiful" he said.
Roshni gets lost in his intimidating stare and they stood just like that where the only sound they could hear was of their breaths breaking the eerie of silence at that hour.
Suddenly Roshni recalls him sleeping beside her mother; she hits him on his chest and escapes his hold.
"Leave me! You are disgusting!!" she said making faces.
"Arre? What did I do?" he asked with innocent filled eyes.
"What did you do? You were... with my mom.. on the bed!!" she screamed loudly.
"Shhh.." Siddharth puckers her lips with his fingers to make her quiet.
"That was unintentional! I thought it was you!! How am I supposed to know that you sleep with your mother nowadays!" he replied.
"Are you blind!! Dikhayi nahi deta hai kya.. you can't even see the difference between me and my Mom..MY MOM!!" she whispered back.
"Ahh my eyes!! How will I ever un - see what I saw today!" she said closing her eyes raising her hands up in the air. Siddharth tries to hold her hands when she says,
"Don't!! Don't touch me with the same hands or else I may kill you!" she fumed.
"Uffo, what will I do now? Tum hi bata do? Hand transplant karwa lu kya?" he asked in annoyance.
"I don't know that is your problem!" she said and walks towards the pool side.
He follows her there and says,
"Sorry baba, galti ho gayi please mujhe maaf kar do!" with his hands holding his ears.
Roshni gives a sharp look at him and leans on the balcony to look at the stars. Siddharth pouts and leans on the balcony beside her staring at the stars too.
"Why have you come here? To kiss mom, see the stars and what?" she asked sarcastically.
"Ohho.. I came to meet you! Your phone was busy and I wanted to... hey wait.. who were YOU talking to at this hour?" he asked raising his eyebrows.
"Tha koi... tumse matlab!" she retorted.
"What do you mean merese matlab!! Off course I am interested in knowing, you are my wife!" he said pulling her by her waist towards him.
"Ohh can't I have my own secrets?" she said removing his hands.
"Really? Now tell me who is enjoying Bachelorhood?" he asked with a tinge of jealousy.
"It was Yash.." she said.
"Why?" he asked.
"Arre.. he is my friend he wanted to talk, what's the harm?" she snapped.
"I meant I kept calling you and you did not pick up my call because of him!" he asked unbelievingly.
"Yeah he was sad that he would be missing my wedding again, so.." she gets interrupted by him.
"He was one of the grooms in one of your wedding, you know that right?" he asked sarcastically.
"Why are you getting so irritated?" she asked with a smile lingering on her lips.
"I am not." he said with a straight face.
"Good. He was so upset. He was asking me to postpone the wedding." she teased him further.
"Really! We are going to get married tomorrow. No postponements." he said with determination.
"Yeah but.. what if we could?" she persisted further while biting her lips anticipating his reaction.
"I can't believe you are willing to stay further apart from me because of your so called friend!" he said in exasperation.
Roshni tried to hide her giggles from him as she looked at his face. He loosens his tie and in frustration says,
"Remind me why am I here again? I am going. Go get married to that Yash only." he said and turns to leave.
Roshni bursts out in fits of laughter and holds her stomach seeing his reaction. He turns and glares at her for laughing on him.
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry" she said in between her laughs.
"I couldn't control myself" she continued and holds his arms before he could leave.
"Leave me, Roshni." he said.
"Aww.. Sid baby naraaz ho gaya?" she said as she came closer to him.
"Roshni please." he said closing his eyes as she touched his face.
"You look so cute when you are jealous!" she said pulling his cheeks.
He removes her hand from his face and gets off her hold, and starts walking out. She grabs his shirt and says,
"Arre I was just joking with you."
"I am not laughing Roshni." he responded.
"But I am." she said sticking her tongue out. He glowers at her and she rolls her eyes seeing his temper rising again,
"Since when did you start getting jealous and angry on me?" she pouted. He makes a face and unhappily looks here and there.
"Why are you so upset?" she asked turning his face to face him by his chin.
"Because you were not letting me touch you." he winked.
"Whaat?" she said and realizes that he had held her by her waist now and was pulling her closer.
She smacks his chest and pushes him,
"You have become too naughty!" she said.
"Naughty for you, babe" he grinned and starts stepping towards her. She bends down and splashes the pool water on him while giggling.
"What is with you and water?" he said in an annoyed voice and was now standing in front of her.
He holds her hands and pulls her up, she stops giggling as he gazed her. He raises her chin and traces her cheeks with the tip of his nose.
"I was calling to say that.." he whispered in her ears "That I love you and I cannot wait to get married to you again"
Roshni smirks and opens her eyes, she leans towards his ears and says,
"You know, you could have messaged it too" she said and laughs.
"Yeh kaisi futi kismat hai meri bhagwaaan!! Biwi di hai itni pyaari si thoda pyaar karna bhi sikha dete isse!!" he said looking up in the sky.
Roshni pushes him and he falls inside the pool.
"ARE YOUU MAD!!" he yelled.
Roshni kneels on the floor beside the pool and says,
"No I am in love, with you" and winks.
Siddharth splashes water on her and she shrieks,
"Siddharth, Stop it! Stop it!"
"I will only stop when you give me a kiss" he replied with a smirk.
"Okay, stop please!"
He stops splashing the water and rises upward to kiss her. She bends down and looks at him, his eyes were closed and he was expecting a kiss. She chuckles and kisses him on his cheeks. He opens his eyes and pouts,
"Not fair" he whispers in her ears.
Before she could pull up he holds her face in his hands and says,
"Now it's revenge time." as he leaned towards her lips to kiss.
"Roshniii" said DD.
Siddharth leaves her face and she gets up on her feet standing in such a way that DD could not see Siddharth in the pool. He hides himself by ducking inside the pool.
"What are you doing here?" she asked her.
Roshni looks back and then at her,
"Mom I had said na I was thirsty..."
"So, you came to drink from the pool?" DD asked.
Roshni chuckles, "Nice one"
"Chalo abhi issi waqt, or else you will not get up in the morning!" said DD and turns to leave.
"Yes mom I am coming right behind you!" she said.
"I didn't know that the Khurana's also have scarcity of water that he has to come to our pool for a drink..." said DD as she left.
Roshni's eyes widen up and she turns to look at Siddharth who was laughing at his Sasumom's taunt.
I hope you liked it. Tried to make Siddharth a bit jealous though 😆
