Durgaprasad and Shekhar?...who's actually bad?

comparing DP and Shekhar is like comparing Obama with Monica Lewinsky- one who became the president of the US despite his follies and the other who failed as a white house intern due to her follies. DP is the patriarch of not just one but two families, he's been the father to not only Adarsh and Laksh but Uttara and Sanskaar and to some extent Ramprasad as well. His world view maybe skewed but its never stopped him from doing what needs to be done to give his children values and a good life, even if that meant tough love at times. he's an A1 totalitarian and an extremely narrowminded individual but he gets things done. Contrarily, Shekhar has never stopped being a worm holding his mother's pallu long enough to be anything else- not a good lover or husband or father. ragini was showered with affection by him but was told off about the wrong things by her fascist bigot dadi. shekhar is extremely indecisive, quick to doubt and clearly someone whose extremely new at taking decisions for himself. his soft and malleable nature is his biggest folly and it stops him from being strong, whilst his brain which has been gathering dust for so long finds it very difficult to work for itself without being dictated to process things in a certain way and thus he can't really judge ppl or situations very well or take decisions effectively for ppl. so you see folks, its not a matter of good or bad but rather a matter of whose more effectual in their given roles. shaker would probs b a better human if judged by his mentality and less radical worldview but as a father DP takes the cake.
