When Raja finished his performance and he stood there facing the judges adverse comments, i could see he was feeling guilty & perspiring profusely. It was a gut wrenching moment and felt i was in Raja's place and that somebody was shooting arrows at me. One moment people raise an ordinary person to dizzying heights, only to bring him down by a thud the next moment when he falters & loses his moorings for just a moment. The previous day when Mussarat faltered the same disappointment crept in my mind. I would like to confess one thing even though i am a fan of Aneek, I admire & appreciate all the singers for their individual talents & feel bad when they are derided for one bad outing. I salute their effort in providing wholesome entertainment week after week, relieving us of stress & tension by showcasing their talents, sacrificing so many things like career, studies, daily interaction with family & friends.

What makes us so much attached to these contestants? Is it because they are like one of us ordinary human beings in an extraordinary situation? We rejoice at their achievements & at the same time feel downcast & helpless when they are brought down from their pedestal? Do we hold too much expectations from these outstanding talented young singers? Can't we accept their mistakes(in singing) gracefully & move on wishing them a better future? Why are we hellbent on making villains/vamps out of these gentlemen/ladies attacking their character when we ourselves have lot of defects & are not perfect in many aspects?

When the contestants in spite of the cutthroat competition show a lot of camaraderie, love, respect & friendship among themselves why do we here at IF constantly go at the throats of each other having different favourites?

Yesterday Mussarat had made a blunder but today he bounced back with a good performance, Aneek had shone yesterday, today the spark was missing, Amanat is giving consistently superb performances, but somehow feel he is not supported enough, Poonam, Sumedha in spite of being the life & light of the show may fell by the wayside when the number of votes matter. Raja is the lambi race ka ghoda the hidden performer and i 'm sure he will rock the show in the coming weeks.

Just my random ramblings.

Your random rambling had some very thought-provoking points...
Better than lots of oh-so-well-thought-out post!!
I always feels it's so easy for us to sit here throwing darts at these people....
You know practicing our archery skills on them....
But it's not easy enough to be there week after week preparing/practising/singing/performing........
Sometimes I feel we all should be grateful to these guys for providing so much entertainment to us.
And in the end, really they all must have something in each one of them to be there.......
Once again, Trishanku, really enjoyed reading such a balanced perspective. 👏

You said it right, Raja is the lambi race ka ghoda! In fact, he was not that bad. He just put his own touch in the song, which sounded a lot more humble and innocent. I mean what if it was not an exact copy of the original. Raja is a unique singer with his own style so he will sing the song his way. Audience was really enjoying it so I hope the judges realize that they were rude to Raja for a minor reason. Raja was sweeting really badly. He did not deserve to go thru such a torture and harrassment.
Plz vote for him b/c he a very good, innocent human being. We definetily want humble people like Raja to be our idol.

All Raja fans, dont panic. raja will not lose his fans based on one below par performance as per judges. It was not his best, but not bad at all. I felt very bad for Raja standing there, taking the criticism and trying to smile, but I could imagine how he felt. Also I felt for Musarrat on Friday.
When you are a loyal fan, you stick with the same person, regardless. I was a strong Sameer fan, I supported him all the way regardless.
I am not attached to any one contestant, I like them all, in my eyes, each one is a winner, but let's be practical, only one will win. In C05, the person I supported did not win, also ek main aur ek tu, also Lil Champs, so I made a vow to myself that I will never again become attached emotionally to any one contestant.
It took me 2 weeks to get over Sameer's loss.I am not making the same mistake again.

Frankly I did not notice that Raja had performed badly. There is an over reaction on the part of the judges. They should tell him gently as it was not such a big mistake, the problem is blown out of propertion. It is just a small mistake which can easily be corrected. Judges should be harsh if only a grave error has been made like a misbehaviour in public or other crimes like unjustly hurting others. In singing sometimes certain small mistakes happen because there they are also performing and laughing and so there is a lot of distraction.
