Now I can't resist and have to say this:
Knew and have and will always acknowledge that electricity is the basic need of our lives...but never knew that it would play a significant role in one o. the Indian telly shows.
Mathur girls want to leave Banaras...coz the city doesn't get uninterrupted supply of electricity as Mumbai.
People try to insult others as the other party is not able to provide them the comfort as they do not have enough electricity.
One father's anger increases for his daughter and granddaughters coz he thinks they have stolen electricity from his home. in coming episodes he is going to call them as chor just because of this electricity.
...Thanks dear electricity, TSM is moving only because of you...ATM...you are playing a very strong role.

Hi,
This is pure my opinion. Not to hurt anyone.

Electricity plays a major part in today's lifestyle. In my home town in tamilnadu , 2-3 years back we had power cut minimum of 10-12 hours per day. At that time even going for vacation we would think how would we stay there without power. The inverter won't stand for long. Peek summer, can't imagine without ac in nights. So for Amaya n family it has a lot difference seeing their earlier life style.

When we r having anger for someone deep inside heart, even the small things they do will have a big reaction within us. The same happens for Sneha's father. He has already developed hatred towards them. Now this can fuel it. May be at last being a father inside his heart,he can win over these petty things. We have to wait and see..

Regards,
Prema

I was just thinking if man like Rishi wouldn't destroy the property of our country in west, or waste it for a lavish house or to please daughters like he has-------spoiled, selfish, immature and stupids. Most probably Banaras, Tamil Nadu, UP, HP etc would not have so much trouble of electricity.

Genius like Mantu and his capability would get appreciated and we could get no power cut in any part of our country.

Showing how rich they are, what brand they wear, what country they go to study or how shit is Banaras-------it'll be better if the CVs can show about things like ----------patriotism, duties for our country.

Rishi Mathur is no super hero. He was from Banaras. Took money from bank. Did nothing except producing three "expansive idiots " and then killed himself --------------making Sneha's entire life a hell. So don't want the CVs to make him good or hide or save men like him. Who actually does nothing for the nation.

I hope someday Amaya will understand----------her father was no superman. But Mantu is . Although he is not good in talking. But he is working hard to build up a better Banaras. I mean how shameless this girl is---------when she was living in paradise in Mumbai, another part of India was suffering. Her own grandparents were suffering. When she was worried about silly maters like what her friend will wear in interview--------all that matters to her friend was a job, not new dress. Which her father or man like her father could produce in India. Than wasting money on luxury.

Amaya is really selfish to steal electricity just for her comfort. I know electricity is important but right now their financial situation is not as good and so they probably can't afford to spend money on a generator. But this is no reason to steal electricity from the neighbour. The grandfather's anger would be justified in this case... they have had to bear high electricity bills because of this; they are the ones facing the loss. And surely he will end up taunting Sneha at one point and she will have to bear the insults for no fault of hers.

Electricity .. very aptly coined "power".. a very good thought and discussion wala post cherry.
It is very hard to imagine life without it after you have been used to uninterrupted use of the same. For the Mathur gals their lives have been turned upside down..and this lack of a basic necessity is making matters worse for them.

The Nana's anger is only going to get worse. Anger makes a person lose his/her power to see things differently or correctly.

He may be justified in his stand .. waiting for the back story to unfold.

I have once lost power for 9 straight days it is quite a daunting experience to live without it once you have had it with no restrictions.

I know electricity is an important part of life. As someone has already said that its actually painful to have power cuts during summer but for a person who has lost a father all of a sudden that too because he committed suicide and one who has no other resort other than staying at Benaras, electricity should be not that important.

As for Sneha's father, he should know he resembles too much like his grand daughter. I understand he hates Rishi but the man is dead already and there is his wife and three daughters literally struggling. If Rishi's wife had been a total stranger or just another neighbour yet it should provoke some sympathy but no here is the man is showing arrogance and is rather happy about the ribbon cutting ceremony at some temple. As I had told earlier, there is something so wrong about the men in the show. One commits suicide, other abandons family to serve his friend, one wants to avenge the dead enemy's family and one arrogant father who is least concerned about anything except may be his pride.

loved reading everyone's take on this subject.
Electricity is a major part of life. Some people in India don't even have the luxury of having it 247. Coming to Amaya, only she could have thought about ways to get it but Jazz, Rachita and sneha seem to be okay with not having it all the time. They complained but no one did what she did. To give her the benefit of the doubt, if she had the money, she would have paid for a generator but because that is not the case, paying someone 1/4th of the price to get the work done seemed quite easy.
As for Sneha's father, his ego is bigger than his love for his daughter. In his eyes, she has wronged him and his stance has been justified even more after watching the TV where Rishi's mistake was even more evident.
