some amount of alcohol is necessary in extremely cold areas because it keep body warm .even economic condition improve due to alcohol business

Legal age for drinking alcohol in most of the states is either 18 or 21

If caught drinking below that age it is a legal offence

If they are above he legal age limit and caught drinking in prohibited places like hostels they are dismissed from college.

Considering all this Anandi had been mild and called only her mother and told her to take her awy so that the girl's record won't be tarnished with a dismissal from school

yes leaves it arrogance not toughness like hum isko harsh punishment de kar hi rahenge chahe woh guilt mode mein hi kyon na ho , why strict punishment is only first and last option for anandi if anyone break rule

In many western countries, it is a norm. It is served as casually as tea and coffee. For grownups.

In cold countries and even in some tribal parts, alcohol consumption is a norm than exception.

Why Anandi if anyone saw an underaged kid drinking alcohol will react strongly.

If Anandi had given a thought as to how the alcohol came into the posession of that girl she would have called the police straight away

She didn't think and that's why she called the mother and told her to take her probem child home.

One more thing schools do give punishment to kids who break rules and make it as an example for all the other kids . Here they just let it know taht Nidhi broke rules and what rules the kid broke nobody knew.

So often even in colleges kids get summons from the principal and that is displayed on notice boards so everyone knows that the kid has done somethng

when anyone in self guilt mode then one anger low down .I am expecting if anandi hear that nidhi decided not to take alcohol at least it can lower down anger of anandi but anandi in still anger mode

punishment to isliye diya jaata hai taaki use ehsaas usne khuchh galat kiya hai .jub nidhi punishment milne ke baad gulity fee ling kar rahi to phir kis baat pe anandi nidhi ko harsh punshisment de rahin hain
