The kid has done something not just dangerous but what she did amounts to criminal offence too.

She should be made aware of the fact that every wrong act has a punishment.

Stealing is wrong whether a greedy rich man does or a poor starving man does both should be punished but the poor man along with punishment should receive help and rich man should be thrown inside no questions asked.

Ira and family tried to ostracise Sanchi just like Singhs ostracised J and that caused more damage to J and Singhs . So she prevented Shekhars from ostracise Sanchi in the hope of making see Sanchi sense but Sanchi was more foolish than she anticipated.

Here the kid needs punishment as well as help.

There may be lot of reasons for a kid to go astray going into the reasons is important but making the kid know that no reason can be big enough to go astray is equally important.

Or else at the sight of smallest trouble they choose wrong way to handle troubles and expect others to put up with nonsense.

So the great anandi knows when to punish, how to punish, when not to punish etc. etc.
She must have done masters in criminal law.😆

The fact remains that a kid who is breaking law being a danger to herself and others and she needs to be shown that no matter what the circumstances are this kind of behaviour is unacceptable and also it is punishable.

That cannot be achieved by lavishing kindness and counselling.

If people want to over look the damage kid is doing to herself and the society in order to criticise Anandi then so be it

If people think that a an underaged kid consuming stolen liquor smuggling alcohol into school is less horrifying than the kid being punished for it I can't say anything

Going by the same coin Kundan who is also of same age and a product of his upbringing should also be allowed to get away with a warning if he is caught molesting an other underaged kid . After all he is a kid too in fact same age as Nidhi.

A kid of that age should be punished because he/she knows it is wrong and yet does . Help should be given in conditions where it is required like in case of Nidhi

If people choose to ignore the series of offences that gone into Nidhi being caught red handed in th hostel consuming alcohol just to criticise Anandi then nothing can be said

Stealing, lying about age, smuggling alcohol and keeping all this hidden from parents probably stealing money from home to feed this habit or getting addicted to alcohol and succumbing to alcohol related dIsease are apparently not as dangerous as fainting in the heat.😛

That too when the girl insisted on sitting in the sun just to emotionally blackmail the authorities and have her way with them.

Instead of thinking about what makes kids to behave this way and over looking everything thye have done is nothing but try to look for a reason to criticise Anandi

who is saying to anandi should just overlook nidhi drinking alcohol v want proper guidance for nidhi instead of giving only punishment to nidhi and nidhi already decided to leave alcohol then why anandi still want to punish her only ? nidhi want to correct her mistake she has give up drinking alcohol but anandi only want to give her punishment this is wrong part of anandi

Is Nidhi's problem so unique that she needs help to drown her sorrow with illegally gotten alcohol?

It is not just drinking or stopping alcohol it is about using wrong methods to solve problems in life.

If problems in life makes one take wrong steps then the person needs to be told in no unceratin terms that wrong steps taken and breaking rules will not be tolerated.

Everybody has problems in life what will happen if everyone uses wrong methods to tackle their problems?

Nidhi knew that boozing is wrong and that's why she is doing it in stealthy manner.She did the wrong thing knowingly and broke the rules knowingly.

She is a kid but not such a small kid that she doesn't know boozing and breaking school rules is wrong.

@bold I should certainly hope that Anandi knows all those things. Else she would never be able to start and run an institution like Shiv Niketan.

It is the hallmark of great managers who do not paint everyone with the same brush but can differentiate situations, people, surroundings, effect on others, and handle different situations according to their own merit. They know when to talk and when to keep quiet.

Anandi does not need masters in criminal law. Just being in the field, dealing with different people day in and day out and bit of common sense, which she has in plenty, and an ability to grasp the circumstances and talk in the language understood by the other party generally does wonders.

What happened here is a serious breach of trust between Nidhi and Shiv Niketan.

A kid but not so small kid has taken to alcohol and broke the school rules knowingly.

There are two things - No matter how big the problem is rules are rules - Anyone who breaks rules will be punished and how the big the punishment is dependent on how big the offence is.This cannot be done away with a warning.

Second thing is that kid needs help - that is primarily the duty of the parents. Anandi alerted the parents about posession of alcohol and now it is the parents duty to get the required help and not Anandi's. Anandi can only help the parents and help their kid.

Getting over alcohol is not easy.Tomorrow she may be caught consuming alcohol by one of the students and what will happen then?

It is primarily the parents's responsibility and as a social worker she can certainly help the parents get help for their daughter and as a principal is her duty that no rules of the school or broken and ensure that all the kids who break rules get punished accordingly.

yes nidhi broke rule but she is feeling sorry for break rule and even feeling guilty for breaking rule .she has not shown guilt by her words by action also by not drinking alcohol but anandi not ready to give chance to correct her mistake .I dont know who is saying that nidhi breaking rule is right and anandi should not say anything to her .nidhi is in self guilt by breaking rule so atleast anandi could have lessen punishment of nidhi .

here v r not saying anandi should forgive punishment of nidhi completely but at least she could have reduce amount of punishment because nidhi is in self guilt mode
