When Maya is poisoned, all of you must have noticed the poison was inky-blue... This colour must have been chosen for a good reason...😊

I'm not sure how the writer will work this out, but I feel that the blue poison will somehow end up inside Rudr where it will do no harm, and he will be the Neelkanth - saviour of Maya! To begin with 😉

Waiting to see how Mr Naithani will handle this...

Happyji, doesn't it seem like a role reversal of Neelkanth. Maya has become Neelkanth here by taking in the poison. And with a combo of faith and science she'll be cured too I guess or atleast she'll be alive until the Amrit comes??
What do u think?

I think in the original version of the legend, Siva is not harmed by the poison whereas Maya is succumbing to it - so she cannot be the Neelkanth, at least not as she is now!

[Edit- Digging further into my limited knowledge of the Puranas, I think Mrs Shiva was somehow involved in the poison being collected in his throat, and not spreading throughout his body - I dont remember the details of that sub-plot though! Sruthi will know for sure...😊]

Rudr has to be the Neelkanth for matching with the legend, and for saving Maya, of course!

I bet Rao's forensic research will come up with some method for saving Maya which will involve Rudr taking on the poison!

My dear Shubha,

Let me stand in for Shruthi here!

It was Mrs. Shiva, aka Parvati, also the Adi Shakti, who, seeing her Lord and Master turning blue at the throat, and perceiving that the good for nothing devas and asuras would not care two hoots what might happen to him, and were in any case incapable of doing anything effective, moved to tackle the crisis.

She gripped Mahadev's neck with her hand and squeezed it, thus stopping the halahala vish from travelling further down. She then removed her hand, but the vish stayed in his throat, which was thus coloured blue from the poison, whence the name Neelakant. So, as often happens in human life as well, it was his wife who saved Mahadev, though I suspect nothing could have really harmed him.

As for your idea, it is something you feel instinctively, but you have not worked out the details yet. I too think it is Rudra who will save Maya's life after their marriage, by somehow sucking the poison out of her system and absorbing it himself, like Mahadev did during the samudramanthan. Shiva hints at this when he tells Rao that he, Rao, does not know about Rudra's powers.

That would also fit in with the parallel, that before the amrit emerges, there has to be the deadly vish, and it is Rudra Shiva who has to deal with it.

Shubha Maimui clearly tells in his earlier vision that she cannot take Rudra with her because he has to become Neelkanth.
So in other words Rudra has to become Neelkanth one way or other. Dr Rao is now researching what happened when that poison was used 144 years back. So through his research some knowledge will come.
Also it is said that against Nagastra, Garudastra is used in mythology and as some other post mentioned in Ramayan when Indrajith uses Nagastra on Ram, Lakkan and entire vanar sena it is Garud who comes and save them. So Rudra as Sarvashesth Garud definitely do something or knows something to save Maya.
Shymaladi I loved your take on devas and asuras 😆😆😆 not caring a hoot for what happens to Mahadev. It is true for the world also Shymaladi that only the loved ones feel the pain, others just need you when the time comes 😆😆. Don't you know in mythological serials we see Devas running and coming in front of Brahma, Mahesh, Vishnu based on the need Bachao bachao. Asuras are coming😆😆.
Sometimes I feel for Asuras , they are so hardworking people take extreme penance to get boons while Devas enjoy the dance of beautiful ladies 😆😆, then these Devas with the help of Trimurtis somehow manage to curtail the Asuras. There are times I have felt bad for Mahabali even Ravan too.
And I feel Devas represent the silent majority who are lost in their lives without understanding what is happening outside , not reacting to it and feels it only when it hits them and then they turn to God help, help

This might be metaphorical too.
Rudra has now found a resolve. And he being a Garuda is the antidote to the poison(like in Ramayana).
He is Neelkanth in the metaphorical sense already. He is trying to ward off poison by his positivity.
Shiva said that Rudra has escaped death many times(escaped is not the right word. I forgot what the word was) and this time he is fighting with death.
Mrityunjaya is one of the names of Rudra/Shiva. How he does it is to be seen. But he definitely is on the way to achieve it.
I liked how Maya has been intertwined with Nagas etc. The last week has been good emotionally and also taken the story forward.
Dadi is melting a little(notwithstanding the precap😆). Shivanand sees a transformation in Rudra and acknowledged that though it happened due to Maya. For him, its a big thing in this Amrit-Raksha mission. He also is happy in his son's happiness. The beatific smile he gave to his DIL was outstanding. Manish Wadhwa is just awesome. And GR? He has morphed into Rudra totally.
Yesterday and the day before, both Payal and GR were outstanding.
So Maya and Rudra have brought some convergence among all the Garuds. And the Nagas did it inadvertently.

Yes Shanti I also liked the smile Shiva gave to Maya. Also rightly as you said another name of Lord Shiva is Mrintujaya. He has the power to stop death and we need to see how.

Beautifully observed, Shanti! 👏

I agree the writing and acting this week has been a notch up from the already high level reached by MW and GR, and young PR is also finding her feet in this company nowadays! That is such an achievement 👏

As for GR morphing into Rudr - I was thinking someone ought to be putting out a Missing Person ad for Mr Rode...😆

@Bold Absolutely! I was just reacting to the enormous colour-coded hints dropped by UN The blue of the vish matching not only the eyes of the Naga who is on the scene, but also at a different level, alerting us to the Neelkanth avatar that is yet to come...

As Shruti explained, Maimui has already done a bhavishyavani on the matter - so there's no question about it now! 😊 Now it will proceed in unexpected ways as plotted by Mr Naithani who claims to derive "asuri sukh" from our speculation and conjecture...😆

Thanks Shruti...I had quite forgotten about Maimui lobbing that question at Rudr... Of course, Rudr has to be Neelkanth! And about the nagastra and garudastra - wow, your puranic knowledge is amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
