Wallpaper Wednesday | Raw and Rugged | Karanvir Bohra
Wallpaper Wednesday, our very own poster size picture gallery. Now, what do we have for you today? Raw and rugged. That is the element we captured when we were at location called Mukesh Mills in Town. The subject, Karanvir Bohra.
And yes, he gave us what we wanted. As we traipsed around the acres of land (legend has it that it is haunted), we wanted to capture the feel of the place and have Karanvir Bohra be right in middle of it.
Looking urbane in a jacket, it was contrast of element versus the man. However, he stood there stoic sometimes with properties of today's technology and urbanity in his hands. At others, it was just him and the environment.
We give you two pictures from the shoot. Yes, you have already seen a couple earlier.
The place is like a time warp. The sands of time have not touched this place for an era. It is completely elemental. We even talked in whispers lest we disturb the sleeping ghosts there. Or were they sleeping? They could be lauding at our efforts to capture the essence or laughing at us. Whatever.
We were also advised to not venture alone through the various columns of the industrial shed. At places the roof was in tatters, ready to fall.
And for us that was the character we wanted. One standing amidst chaos of time. As time has wrought havoc on a mill that might have been flourishing at some point. The glory, the grandeur all gone. But it echoed of time gone by. Kehte hain na, ye khandar kabhi mahal tha...
Did we capture what we wanted? Karanvir part of the element yet standing apart.
