Now every Tom, dick and Harry will give their expert opinion. 🤔

Generalization is also one of the repercussions of that documentary.

But aah well. We shouldn't think about that. All we need to do is be self-gloating.

And Just Debate. No ground level work. Just Big Talk online or in interviews. 😛

LOL I love all the generalizations being made about India as a country..Every time you gotta defend something, whether its ' freedom of speech' or ' women empowerment' or any goddamn social issue out there, start off by dissing the country..Totally cool & progressive mentality right there 😆

This is getting too much now. Generalising india , its men and its women , sexism , patriarchy is not going to solve any issue. Is sexism only a concern for india or this sub continent? Does chauvinist men exist in this part of the world? In which idiotic bubble are they living in? Does women abuse, gender inequality a problem of east, west is picture perfect right? What about your work place Ms pinto, hollywood, is that devoid of gender bias, exploitation of women? Yes indian society does need resurrections , but so does other societies. Wasnt Frieda born and bred in India and was nt allowed to pursue her dreams ? Stop demeaning your origin and roots like this as it does not glorify anything for you. And stop lecturing if you cant change anything about the society other than blabbering . Its annoying and after a point insulting.

she aint lying tho. Abortion rates, female fetus death rates, female infant death rate, kidnappings, child marriage rates, female child trafficking rates, and rape rates don't lie, in many parts of (rural) India this is the sad reality of events. I dont think she is trying to show India in a negative light, she knows where she came from, she knows that despite her name being Pinto she ain't someone who came from Portugal, Spain or Latin America.

She made no such generalization. Watched the video and she talked specifically about the section of society where indeed the boys are given more milk than the girls.

which country in Europe are you exactly talking about? I've spent nearly all my life in Europe lived in continental Europe and the tiny island called GB, and I have yet to encounter Europeans advocating misogyny to the same extent as Indian/middle Eastern/Arab/oriental culture does. Unless you are referring to immigrant populations displaying this behavior throughout Europe?
